Pop Up Church

Last night we were invited to join some framily for the Elevation Worship Night/Pop Up Church. I went thinking this is going to be a concert environment, we are going to sing, dance, laugh and have a great time. All of which we did. However, what I did not expect was for that arena to become a bona fide sanctuary. My experience in very large settings like that is worship gets dumbed down to songs we sing, but last night was not a song fest, it was a worship experience. The presence of God was palatable in the place. We prayed, we prophesied, we proclaimed a line drawn in the sand so the enemy cannot come into our city. My God today, it was powerful.

My long time friend Kuda Chimanya and I talked about how powerful it was and we have been in some very powerful services together. The people behind us, the generations around us, everyone near us could sense the presence of God. It was truly palatable at least in section 103 it was. This was so encouaraging to me, because the bigger things get the more watered down they tend to become, but we are in a new day. Hungry hearts, authentic worship leaders and multigenerational worshippers create an environment that lifts up the name of Jesus and He truly by His Holy Spirit draws near.

Oh there was a great time had by all and Elevation Church put on a great show, but what impressed me was the presence of God that was there in that place. My friends, there is. a shift that has happened in the hearts of God’s people, it has been a behind the scenes underground work and it is starting to manifest above ground.

In worship last night I saw a lid on our city, and I prayed the Lord would lift the lid, moments later the heavens were open and I knew the lid had been lifted. What God is doing in the earth is not just for one city, one church, one nation, it is an earth wide move of God of the likes we have never seen or heard before. Drop your ideas of what you think it will look like or where it will happen, for truly anything is possible and we can’t stay silent any longer.
