Good Bye Night…Hello Day

I was talking to a friend on the phone the other day while walking around Wal Mart and I was telling her about a sermon I heard Paula White preach called, “A Map or A Compass”. I was so into our conversation I went to the automotive department to buy a compass, but they only had a thermometer, clock and compass combo. When I picked it up, I sensed this was prophetic and a needed tool for where we are going. I got home and the Lord spoke to me and said, “You will need to know the temperature of the atmosphere, the timing of God and the direction in which to go!” As we move forward, these three things are going to be necessary, temperature, timing and direction. Now, with that being said, I want to share with you what the Lord just said to me moments ago, I am still shouting on the inside and if I open my mouth, while typing this, you might hear me shout, for God has some really good news for us.

Genesis 1:5 says, “God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day” (NASB). Did you get that, there was evening and there was morning, that means to the Hebrews the beginning of a new day begins at night, in the evening. For westerners the beginning of a new day is at sunrise, but for God and for the Hebrews, a new day began at night or in the dark. Many of us miss what God is doing, because we don’t think like He thinks, a new day begins at night in God’s mind, therefore, we are in a new day, for it has been really dark lately, would you agree? The Bible calls deeds of darkness, drunkenness, sexual promiscuity, sensuality, strife, jealousy, lusts of the flesh (Romans 13:13-14). Can you see how we have been living in a night season, both in the world and the church?

Here is another example of life in the night. Luke 5:5 says, “Simon said, Master, we worked hard all night and caught nothing…” or Isaiah 54:7-8 says, “For a brief moment I forsook you…in an outburst of anger I hid my face from you for a moment…says the Lord Your Redeemer” or Psalm 42:3 says, “My tears have been my food day and night, while they say to me all day long, where is your God?” The night is a time of barreness, silence, mourning, it is a time of working hard, but catching nothing, it is a time of waiting, trusting, believing, hoping, navigating disappointment, it is a challenging time that tests your faith on a level that only the night can test it. It is not always deeds of darkness, it is also just times of being in the dark.

I believe we have been in a new day, but because it has been dark, many of us did not see it as a new day, but to God the new day began, when our darkness began. I have been, in the dark for 17 years now, not because of some deed of darkness, but I now believe it was by design, for I entered a new day and I did not know it. No one told me that a new day began in the dark. I had been saved for 10 years when this dark day began, I was in the ministry, obeying God, tithing, reading my bible daily, I was a “good Christian”, then I was invited into a new day and I believed I had done something wrong, that I was being sidelined for some sin I did not know I committed. I struggled to understand this new day, for it was dark. But even in the dark, there were prophets like Ron McGatlin, who spoke things over me in this new day, that I could not understand, for not only could I not see in the dark, I could not hear in the dark, when I first began. Can you relate? It’s been dark.

Then my eyes began to adjust about 4 years ago and my ears began to hear in a way I had never heard before. I was still in the dark, but now I entered into intimacy, revelation, understanding and a whole new world, even though it was still dark. I didn’t do everything perfectly, but I did continue to obey, even in the dark. I learned what love really is, in the dark, and now 17 years later, just today, I heard the Lord say, “The night is almost over and the day is about to appear!” I knew it was a bible verse, but where I was not clear, so thank you Google for showing me the way, quickly. Listen to Romans 13:11-12 “Do this, knowing the time, that it is already the hour for you to awaken from sleep; for now, salvation is nearer to us than when we believed. The night is almost gone, and the day is near” (NASB).

I am shouting, the night is almost over, the day is near, what day, the Isaiah 2:2-4 day, the Micah 4:1-3 day, the Amos 9:11-15 day, the day of rejoicing is near, the sun is rising with healing in His wings (Malachi 4:2), the night is nearly over, the day is breaking, can you see the signs of the coming sunrise, can you hear the sound of the birds singing, do you know the signs of the night leaving and the day beginning? We made it through the night and now we are going to live in the light of His presence. Will you join me in shouting, thank you LORD! and good-bye night…hello day!

2018 “The Year of the Expected Harvest”

In prayer the other day, the Lord spoke to me and said, “I AM shifting from the sword to the sickle!” I then heard the Lord say, “Gather the wheat into My barns, for wheat is for feeding and seeding the nations.” As I lingered on these words in prayer, I heard the number 18, so I went to a book I own called 50 Amazing Words by CJ Lovik, in which he breaks down the Hebrew words into words, pictures and numbers, for it is a tri-layer language. I open to the number 18 and discover that the picture for 18 is the fish hook and the meaning is harvest. As I made this connection to the words God spoke to me, I heard the Lord put it all together and say, “2018 is the year of the Expected Harvest”! I shouted praises, I began to dance in my living room, I could sense in my spirit this is what we have been waiting for.

2017 was the year of victory, or in Hebrew the year 5777, it was the year of the sword of the Lord. Now as we have entered the Hebrew year 5778, it is the year of the open door, so when the Lord told me it is the year of the expected harvest, I wanted to see how it fit into the year of the open door. Revelation 4:1 says, “After these things I looked and behold, a door standing open in heaven, and the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a trumpet speaking with me, said, come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things” (NASB). The things John is referencing is the 7 church ages of Revelation 2-3, of which the best teaching I have heard on this is from Paul Keith Davis, you can find it on YouTube. So, John was invited to see what was going to happen after the Laodicean church age (Revelation 3:14-22).

If you read Revelation 4, John saw the risen lamb of God on a throne, Jesus is what happened, His glory was the story after “these things”. If Jesus is the glory story that will begin to be seen after “these things”, either we are being raptured out of here or we are going to be the answer to Jesus prayer in Luke 10:1-3, “After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go. Then He said to them, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore, pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. Go your way; behold, I send you out as lambs among wolves” (NKJV). I personally believe the latter, which is why I believe 2018 is the year of the Expected Harvest.
Here is what I see, based on what God said to me, I see wheat being gathered into barns (storehouses) so they can be trained (threshed), equipped and deployed to seed and feed the nations. Leaders of the barns (storehouses) in which God is going to gather the wheat into will thresh them, then send them into their perspective fields in order to seed and feed that field. In the kingdom of God, right now, we are in the harvesting time. How do I know this with such certainty? Matthew 13:30, speaking of the wheat and the tares, Jesus says when asked if they should pull up the tares, said, “Allow both to grow together until the harvest; and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers (laborers), first gather up the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them up; but gather the wheat into My barn” (NASB). You may see it differently, but I see God gathering up tares in the nations right now and bundling them for burning. Now this is not the weeping and gnashing of teeth burning, this is a refining, purifying, burning (Malachi 3:3/Zechariah 13:9).

You see it is a harvest season, not the end of the world. So, we turn on the news and much exposure is happening, like the Harvey Weinstein bundle is happening right now, as an example. So, Jesus said, first bundle the tares, then gather the wheat into my barns. Order matters to God. I believe we are in a season of harvest and that 2018 is the year of the Expected Harvest. I believe we are going to see a mass returning of the wheat into barns that will Ephesians 4:12-13, train, equip and deploy them to do the work of the ministry, which is to seed and feed the fields in which they work. Get ready for 2018 is the year of the Expected Harvest!

Slaying the Octopus…Accessing Abundance

It was only two days ago that the Lord revealed to me an octopus that is in the lives of His people. This octopus is one of the gatekeepers to abundance. Once the Lord slays the octopus in our lives, we will have access to abundance, but it begins with slaying the octopus and we cannot slay what we do not see. That is why Solomon is penned as saying, “For where there is no vision, the people perish” (Proverbs 29:18). What we can’t see, we can’t deal with, that is why God exposes in order to dispose. So, often we don’t want to hear the truth, see the truth or know the truth, for we tend to see it as a way to shame us, condemn us or somehow criticize us. However, the Father in heaven, is way to kind to do that, He only exposes things in our lives in order to dispose of them from our lives. He is so generous that He will expose anything that is hindering us from accessing abundance. This is why He is exposing the octopus.

On the news about a week ago, they showed a blue ringed octopus and said it is deadly to humans. I looked it up, as I was sensing some prophetic relevance to this, but did not have all the pieces to see the picture God was releasing to me. Then while reading in Matthew 13:18-23 about the explanation Jesus gave to the disciples in regards to the parable of the sower, the word octopus came into my spirit again. I was befuddled and decided to check out Google to see what are the characteristics of an octopus, for obviously God was seeking to expose something in order to dispose of it. Here is what I discovered about octopuses.

Octopuses are soft bodied, eight armed mollusks whose mouth is in the center point of the arms; the body can rapidly alter shape and can even squeeze through small gaps; they have excellent sight; are one of the most intelligent and behaviorally diverse invertebrates; they live in water, grow fast and mature quickly, but they are short lived; the males die after fertilizing the eggs of the female; the female dies right after the hatching of the fertilized eggs; they camouflage themselves and are described as sea monsters in mythology (Wikipedia).

With that being said, let’s tie the characteristics of the octopus into Matthew 13:22 “The one on whom seed was sown among thorns, this is the man who hears the word, understands the word, but the worry of the world and the deceitfulness of wealth, choke the word and it becomes unfruitful” (NASB). The choker is the octopus, who has camouflaged itself as worry, that has snuck in through small gaps, that has its mouth in its arms, so the words spoken suffocate or strangle the word and it cannot produce fruit. The octopus is worry and it is choking the word in our lives and making us unfruitful.

But you may say, it says thorns and the octopus is a soft bodied sea monster. You are absolutely correct, thorns above ground are hard, but below ground they are soft for their roots which are below ground are what is choking the word in us. Jesus said in this parable, the word took root in the thorny soil, but it did not produce fruit, for it was being choked at the root level, for roots produce fruits. Now to take this one step further, this octopus the Lord is wanting to slay called worry is camouflaged and we often don’t recognize it, but it is there and it is linked to the spirit of mammon, who is another sea monster. That is why Jesus said, it is choked by worry of the world (the octopus) and the deceitfulness of riches (spirit of mammon). The Lord is seeking to slay the octopus in our lives, so that we can access abundance.

Abundance is the kingdom of God, abundance is Jesus, abundance is wisdom, truth, life, grace, hope, love, peace, joy, wealth, signs, wonders, miracles, it is abundant life in every way, abundance is Yahweh.
