The Great Awakening

The great awakening in a nation is the eyes of the people being opened not to some financial increase they receive in the bank, some promotion they receive at a job, not a spouse. they have been desiring and is now here, or any other prayer being prayed by so many around the world. No, the great awakening in a nation starts in the hearts of people. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6) and there are veils inside of us that God wants to tear. His death tore the veil of separation between us and Him for salvation, eternal life, assurance of salvation, access to His blood for the forgiveness of sins (Hebrews 6-9). There were not one but two veils in the temple in Jerusalem.

Since we are the temple now, there is also multiple veils in us that have blinded us from truths God has wanted us to see. I was speaking with a young man yesterday over lunch and he asked me why I do not give him a bunch of do’s and don’t in regards to his behavior and I said because your behavior is the fruit of a belief you are worthless which is the root. He shot his head up and looked at me and I said, you don’t believe you have value so you do valueless things. He was like how do you know this, I said because how we think is how we act, whether we realize it or not. A veil tore in his heart yesterday and the “aha” moment was obvious to me by his facial reaction. He had a great awakening.

This morning, I was praying Psalm 30 and it says, “Your anger lasts for the night your favor is for a lifetime.” Lifetime favor, hmmmmm. As I was praying into this verse the Lord took me on a tour of my whole life and said, “Favor looked different in varying times of your life, but you have lifetime favor.” I never saw it before this morning. I always saw the rejection, the faults, the bad choices, but today the Lord opened my eyes to the lifetime favor He has bestowed on me. I had a great awakening.

Now for you, it’s the time of the great awakening, the Lord is opening our eyes to things we could not see before and when we see them we will be astonished at how the Lord corrects us up in our thinking. As we are awakened, others will see it and it will wake them up, or as we wake others up to how God has been working in their life, it will wake something up in us. All I know is we are in the midst of a great awakening.

The Glory Is Coming

The Lord invited me to pray Isaiah 22 this morning, which seemed like an odd place to find prayer points, but between verses five and seven I was seeing very clearly what the Lord wanted me to pray. The Lord is calling intercessors and watchmen to their fixed positions at the gate, not because there is a war coming, but because the glory of God is coming. When the Holy Spirit said this to me, I wept. The Lord said, my intercessors need to repent, change the way they think, for the kingdom of God is at hand. We have been taught to watch for war and warn the people of evil coming, but the Lord said, we need to repent, for we are not to be watching for war in order to warn, but we are to be watching for the glory of God.

What you are called to watch for will determine what you see and what you see is what you will speak. The Lord was very clear this morning, I want my intercessors and prophets watching at their fixed positions at the gate. I want them watching for my glory is coming. The Holy Spirit reminded me the glory of God comes through the gate and I found that in Ezekiel 43:1-5 “After this, the man brought me back around to the east gateway. Suddenly, the glory of the God of Israel appeared from the east. The sound of his coming was like the roar of rushing waters, and the whole landscape shone with his glory. This vision was just like the others I had seen, first by the Kebar River and then when he came to destroy Jerusalem. I fell face down on the ground. And the glory of the LORD came into the Temple through the east gateway. Then the Spirit took me up and brought me into the inner courtyard, and the glory of the LORD filled the Temple.”

There is not a war on the horizon, the glory of God is on the horizon. We are not headed into a war, we are headed into the glory of God. The Lord is about to flood the earth with glory as the waters cover the seas (Habakkuk 2:14). We are about to experience the mountain of the Lord as the chief of all the mountains (Isaiah 2). We are about to have a revelation of Jesus Christ (Revelation 4) of the likes that will transform us into our original design and we will no longer want to sin for the glory will be so desirous to us. As a watchman on the wall, I want you to know I see the glory of God coming!

Watching

Now that we are in a watching time and the waiting season is over, we are going to notice things we missed or failed to see in the waiting season. The waiting season can be marked with striving, performing, trying to prove something, but the watching time is true rest, deep inhales and exhales, it is eyes wide open, heart responding and deep breaths.

I was driving down the same road I drive every Monday at the exact same time and the same measure of traffic was on the road, but as I looked to my left as I was creeping along in a long line of traffic, I noticed a cluster of grave stones I never saw before. The Holy Spirit smiled at me and I knew it was a nod to this new time of watching. When we are watching we see things that have always been there but we had not seen before.

In this time of watching, we are going to see things that will surprise us, shock us, anger us, delight us and capture us. One of the things we are going to see is justice, which is the the same coin as righteousness. We need to see justice, for righteousness exalts a nation (Proverbs 14:34) and when the righteous are in power the city rejoices (Proverbs 29:2). But we must also remember Ezekiel 33:11 “As surely as I live, says the Sovereign LORD, I take no pleasure in the death of wicked people. I only want them to turn from their wicked ways so they can live. Turn! Turn from your wickedness, O people of Israel! Why should you die?” When wicked people start receiving justice, it will not be a time to celebrate their death, but it is going to be a time of the fear of the Lord coming on the nations.

Remember this, every person has been given a chance to repent, but some literally refuse and if they persist in hurting others, they will have to face justice for their crimes against humanity. However, this is not reason for us to rejoice in their death, but rather to rejoice that righteousness is exalting the nation. File these thoughts away, you will need them in the near future.

Reward for Work

To all those Intercessor’s who have been working so hard underground, behind closed doors, on prophetic adventures dismantling the demonic strongholds in this nation, and have not been rewarded for the work you have done in the army of Lord, you know who you are. I have good news for you.

I was reading Ezekiel 29 this morning and this is what the Soveriegn Lord says, “Son of man, the army of King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon fought so hard against Tyre that the warriors’ heads were rubbed bare and their shoulders were raw and blistered. Yet Nebuchadnezzar and his army won no plunder to compensate them for all their work. Therefore, this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I will give the land of Egypt to Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon. He will carry off its wealth, plundering everything it has so he can pay his army. Yes, I have given him the land of Egypt as a reward for his work, says the Sovereign LORD, because he was working for me when he destroyed Tyre.”

God is the head of this army of intercessors, He has not forgotten all the work you have done to destroy the works of the enemy in your nation. He sent you to uproot, tear down and destroy the demonic strongholds in your nation. You along with a whole army of intercessors worldwide have been prophesying, decreeing, praying, pleading and standing for righteousness to exalt your nation, for justice to be revealed and for Christ to be glorified. I know for I am one of you. You did it out of obedience to the Lord not for reward, but God is about to reward you for your work, for you helped Him destroy the works of the enemy. Read Ezekiel 29 again, for God is about to reward His army for the work they have done.

Abundance Distributed

The Lord of heaven and earth, Creator of everything, has blessed every country with resources to be used for bartering with other countries. No one county has everything they need, each country is dependent upon other countries for some supply they are lacking in their country. The Lord did this, listen to how it is described in Ezekiel 27 “Syria sent merchants to buy your rich variety of goods. They traded turquoise, purple dyes, embroidery, fine linen, and jewelry of coral and rubies. Judah and Israel traded for your wares, offering wheat from Minnith, figs, honey, olive oil, and balm.

Damascus sent merchants to buy your rich variety of goods, bringing wine from Helbon and white wool from Zahar.” It was by design that God put in each nation a resource other nations would need.

Reading this passage today, the Lord said to me, “Just like in my body, not one person has all the gifts, but each has been given a gift to share with others in the body.” Immediately I knew the Lord was referencing 1 Corinthians 12, “A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other. … It is the one and only Spirit who distributes all these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have.” Just like each nation has its own resources, so we each have our own gifts. Nations and individuals are not to hoard their gift, for in doing so they will cut themselves off from the other resources they need. Nor are nations or people to think what they have been gifted or resourced with is better, more valuable or more necessary than another nation or person has been gifted with.

I am in awe of how God uses nations and individuals in the same way. We all have been resourced or gifted and now we are all called to give and receive what other nations and individuals have been given. God placed it all here for us to resource and gift each other, freely, peacefully, and with integrity. Everything we need is here, but we must loose it so others can benefit from it. Whether its nations or His body, the Lord is calling us to work together.

The Mountain of the Lord

Many have prospered by following the rules and dictates of the Babylonian system. Much money was made, abominable activities were not just accepted but championed, and Babylon was in control. Revelation 18:3 says, “The kings of the world have committed adultery with her. Because of her desires for extravagant luxury, the merchants of the world have grown rich.” Under the rule of the Babylonian government people made a lot of money, engaged in a lot of immoral activities and propagated a lot of humanistic thinking. When Babylon is ruling all of these things seem so desirable, so the people under this Babylonian system echo the ideas of this system.

Little do most people know, this system rules over all seven mountains of society, so people believe what they are saying is truth, it cannot be altered or changed. But little did they know Daniel 2 says, “As you watched, a rock was cut from a mountain, but not by human hands. It struck the feet of iron and clay, smashing them to bits. The whole statue was crushed into small pieces of iron, clay, bronze, silver, and gold. Then the wind blew them away without a trace, like chaff on a threshing floor. But the rock that knocked the statue down became a great mountain that covered the whole earth.” The statue is the Babylonian system, the rock is Christ. Jesus Christ struck this system and it crumbled and for 2000 years the great mountain that is Christ has been growing up little by little. It started as a rock, but is now a mountain about to revealed for all to see.

Those who prospered under the Babylonian system are about to submit to the kingdom of God governmental rule. The kingdom of God is a system of righteousness, peace and joy. A system of justice and generosity, grace and truth. It is going to change everything and captives will be set free. Paul says, “Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ” (Colossians 2:8). Many have been taken captive by the thoughts of men, but the revelation of Jesus Christ is going to set the captives free. What you are about to witness is going to give you so much to be thankful for, it is still the year of the Mountain of the Lord!

Table Time

Today we set a special table. A table in which friends and family will sit together. There will be laughter, lots of food and conversations that will both challenge us and encourage us. The table is a special place for people, it holds both good and bad memories. The table this year may have an empty seat because a loved one has passed, it may be set in someone else’s home and not your own, it may even lack important people who once used to sit at the table with you but for one reason or another are not there this year. Who would have ever thought the Thanksgiving table could carry such power to hurt and to heal in our lives.

People have spent hours to prepare this table for us today as an act of love for those who will sit at it today. Gratitude is an everyday thing, but today giving thanks is extra special because nationwide people will be sitting around tables together. No matter how large or small your table it is a day to give thanks, for thanks has the power to seed our futures. Who knows if next year our table will have people at it we wished were here this year. We serve a God who restores all things, and I too have people not at my table this year, but I also do have people at my table I would have never expected. God has a way of giving us many reasons to give thanks.

As we gather at our tables today, may we remember the table Jesus gathered at with His disciples every Passover. People prepared that meal in advance, and the heart of that table was to give thanks. They were invited to give thanks for the body that was broken and the blood that was shed, it was a table of rememberance of the exodus out of Egypt by God Himself. They had bread and wine, we have turkey and stuffing, but it is the same table of thanks and rememberance. Enjoy your table time today, whether its a table for one or for many, for the table is a time to say thank you and remember He is the God who restores all things! Happy Thanksgiving friends.

The Visible and The Invisible

‘Twas the day before Thanksgiving and all through the house were the smells, sights and sounds of the season. Tomorrow is the beginning of over a month of festivities, families, friends and food fit for a festive season. The stores and doctors offices are playing the songs of the season. The neighbors have put up the inflatable sights of the season in their front yards and their trees in their windows. Lights are going up on houses all around us. It is hard to not smile during this season because there is so much to be thankful for and so much joy to experience. Stores are packed with people buying all they need to prepare their traditional dishes, and tables are being set with the once in a while place settings. People are driving places to see people and things, the activity in the atmosphere is undeniable and it is supposed to be busy, fun, festive.

Everything I just mentioned is what is visible to the eye and audible to the ear, but even in the visible there is an invisible reality happening as well. Paul says it this way, “He (Christ) made the things we can see and the things we can’t see— such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world” (Colossians 2:16). The invisible many will encounter during this holiday season will be invisible thrones, kingdoms, rulers and authorities that most people are not cognizant are operating in their lives. Not everyone we will spend the holidays with are living with the kingdom of God operating inside of them, some have the world’s system in them. Not all are under the authority of Christ, some are under the authority of an anti-Christ spirit. We will sense this in stores, shops, kitchens, living rooms and neighborhoods. It is always happening, but during the holidays it manifests more because people are unknowingly processing the pain of the season.

The strategy for this holiday season is Ephesians 6:11-12 “Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.” Enjoy the visible and remember what war you are really fighting is the invisible. I pray for you to have extra grace, abundant love and undeniable peace as you enter into this holiday season. Love you friends!

A New Queen Has Been Chosen

Once upon a time there were two queens in one kingdom. Both queens were beautiful to look at but one queen was rebellious/disobedient to the commands of the king. This queen who chose not to obey the king was removed from her royal position, lest she teach others to not obey the commands of the king. With the removal of the rebellious queen, came the invitation to look for a new queen. One woman stood out among all the rest and she was beautiful to behold in both looks and speech. Everything about her was beautiful, but the real test of her beauty would be found in how the king saw her. She was invited to meet the king and when she did, he found her beautiful in every way and called her his queen. Her obedience to the king was what put her beauty on display for the whole kingdom to see. She became a model of what it means to be a queen in a kingdom. Thank you Esther.

Ezekiel speaks of a queen and her name is Jerusalem, here is how she is described by the prophet in Ezekiel 16, “You were adorned with gold and silver. Your clothes were made of fine linen and costly fabric and were beautifully embroidered. You ate the finest foods—choice flour, honey, and olive oil—and became more beautiful than ever. You looked like a queen, and so you were! Your fame soon spread throughout the world because of your beauty. I dressed you in my splendor and perfected your beauty, says the Sovereign LORD.” Jerusalem was a beautiful queen until she rebelled against the Lord who is her King.

A King and two different queens. Both queens were beautiful, but disobedience to the commands of the king caused one of them to be removed from their position as queen and distorted their beauty, so they no longer reflected the King and His kingdom. We are living in the day in which the disobedient, rebellious, do my own thing queen called the church is being removed from her position as queen for her beauty has been marred by sin. A new queen has been sought for, prepared in private and has gone before the King. She is beautiful, obedient and ready to lead the kingdom with the King. Her name is Ekklesia.

Victory Is History

Our victory as a nation is someone else’s history. Our victory as an individual is also someone else’s victory. Just like we know the history of other people’s victories. I sensed the Lord say, “This victory, the nations are coming into will write a brand new history.” I knew immediately we were to hold loosely what we think we know, for what God is doing in our day will change history again.

When God said, “Let there be light” a new history was made in that moment for they did not have light before that. When God created “Adam” history changed again, for they had never seen a “man” made in the image of God before. When Noah built an ark and it began to rain, a new history was written for it had never rained before. When Sarai, the first recorded barren woman gave birth to a son at the age of 90, a new history was written for no one had been barren before and she was past the age of child bearing. When God took Israel out of Egypt through the opening of the Red Sea, a new history was being written, for a sea had never parted before. Jesus did all kinds of firsts when He was on the earth. The first virgin got pregnant and gave birth to the son of God, this changed history forever. From what we know Jesus was the first man to walk on water and to calm a storm, with everything He did a new history was being written.

History is a testimony for history tells us what happens, it testifies to an event. We are living in a day like Israel had in 1968, when a nation was reborn in a day. America and the world is about to be reborn and is writing more history. This history will testify to the rebirth of the nations. What God is doing is going to be a victory that is history. Don’t try to figure it out, just watch or as Moses said in Exodus 14, stand and see the salvation of the Lord. He is giving us victory in order to write some more history.
