God’s Pace Setter

My son took piano lessons for many years and the first tool we were told to buy when he started lessons was a metronome. A metronome was set at different paces depending on the tempo of the song he was practicing. The metronome is a clicking sound that would align my sons tempo with the tempo of the metronome. Some of his practice included a faster pace, while others included a slower pace. Both paces were challenging to him during practice time, for he either was not able to maintain the faster pace due to finger flexibility or knowledge of the keys; or he was not enjoying the slower pace because he considered it boring. But that metronome taught him how to play a variety of songs, so whatever tempo the song demanded, he was able to be in time with the tempo of the song, because he was trained with the metronome in practice.

The Lord reminded me of this metronome today, for the Lord does not have one speed at which He operates, but He does have one song He is playing and He is wanting us all as His body to be singing the same song. Unity in the body of Christ is only possible if we all know what song God is playing at any given time. We must know the tempo of the song and the key it is being played in for us all to be playing or singing the same song. Some of us are playing an instrument, some of us are singing along, but all of us need to be on the same song at the same time at the same tempo and in same key if we want to hear the song of heaven for earth right now.

For this dream of God to be a reality in His body, we must quit wanting to live by the beat of own drum. This is hardest for Americans because we value individualism over corporate. The kingdom of God is not invidualistic it is a kingdom, that has a king. I would love to hear even one church singing the same song of heaven, one city, one state, one nation, but it starts with one family singing the same song of heaven. The enemy loves to tell us we can do our own thing and be successful, but the kingdom says, it is a we thing not a me thing if we are going to be successful in the kingdom.

Individually we need to die to ourself, so we can live in this kingdom. We must know what time it is in the spirit and what song is being sung. Solomon said, “There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven—“. The church is living in so many different time zones, it is no wonder unity is hard for us. But I believe God is teaching us kingdom and one of the classes we are going to take is called Kingdom Time. Get ready to learn how to work with the metronome of heaven, it is a required tool for the class we are about to take. God is setting our pace, so we can all sing the same song, at the same tempo and when He does this the sound that comes out of the body of Christ is going to bless the nations.

Long Range View

One of the challenges we as people face is we are more accustomed to hearing the voice of people and know the fellowship of people, but we are not accustomed to the voice of God and the fellowship with God. The reason this is a challenge is because we speak from the view of people rather than the vantage point of spending time with God. If you want to know who’s voice you are more accustomed to, listen to what comes out when you speak. Listening to what you say, reveals who’s voice has seeded your heart. Jesus said, “Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks” (Matthew 12:34). Listen to what you say so you know what your heart has been seeded with.

The reason it is important to know who is seeding you is because those seeds are affecting your view. If the voice/fellowship of people have seeded us more than the voice and fellowship of God we will have a limited, short term view of life. When we have limited, small, short term views of scripture, life and world events, it reveals we have been listening to and seeded by the words of people not of God. The more time you spend with the Most High God, the more your view expands, your thoughts enlarge and your perspective is bigger than you and your little life span. There are so many benefits to spending time with God and knowing His voice.

Psalm 90:2-4 says, “Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God. You turn man back into dust And say, “Return, O children of men.” For a thousand years in Your sight are like yesterday when it passes.” God views a thousand years like yesterday, because He is an everlasting God. We can have the same view because Ecclesiastes 3:11 says, “He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart, yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” We have the capacity to have a God view about time, eternity and we too can see a thousand years like yesterday, but we must spend time with God! Lift up your eyes, we are here to make things beautiful, its long overdue we have an eternal view not in heaven but for earth.

Shofars Ready

Two weeks ago a friend felt like she needed to go to the Parthenon in Centennial Park here in Nashville, TN and she asked if I was available to go with her. I said yes, my schedule permits this, so we went. She had never been to the Parthenon or this park, so I was eager to hear what she saw and heard while there as fresh eyes and ears. I listened carefully to all she shared, but what I didn’t expect was the many new things the Lord would speak to me. We went into the temple, as she had never been inside, let alone outside. While inside, she walked around and spoke things she was was hearing and seeing. Me, I was using my plumbline for the first time as a new prophetic weapon of intercession.

As she walked around with eyes wide open, I began reading the many plaques on the walls and on the pedestals explaining details about this idol in this temple. One of them I was reading prompted the Holy Spirit to say to me, “Prince of Persia”. I told my friend, we are dealing with the Prince of Persia here and I showed her what I was reading. Now, two weeks later, the Lord speaks to me this morning about the Prince of Persia, the Parthian Empire, and says to me, Daniel’s gold statue is in the Parthenon, it is the King of Babylon, the Prince of Persia, the gods of Greece and the Roman Structure. I am stunned at 5:45am this morning. I never saw how all four of them were right there based on what Daniel 2 describes.

I get out of bed, and the time is 6:16, I immediately think, Ephesians 6:16 which makes sense, the armor of God, but the Lord says, in a gentle whisper, as my heart is not wanting to assume, but is asking, is Ephesians 6:16 what you are saying and He adds another 6:16 to the arsenal, 2 Kings 6:16, “Now when the attendant of the man of God had risen early and gone out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was circling the city. He answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” Now we have three 6:16’s, one is Jeremiah 6:16, stand at the crossroads and ask for the ancient path; Ephesians 6:16, armor of God; and 2 Kings 6:16, do not fear!

When I put it all together this morning, the Lord is clear, there is an ancient enemy coming to make war with us, this will be the battle of the age, it is the Daniel 2 spirit coming, so be dressed in the armor of God and do not fear for there are more for us than are against us. Finally, remember, our battle is not against flesh and blood and our weapons are not carnal, but they are mighty through God for the pulling down of strongholds, shofars ready!

Showdown of the Ages

Can you feel it? Can you hear it? Can you see it? The battle lines have been drawn and people are taking their stand. It is in the atmosphere, it was feels like an overnight shift, just like we went through a long streak of intense heat, but now with the turn of a day, we are experiencing different temperatures. It felt like the heat was never going to end, it has felt like this rule of the enemy was going to last, but in a day, in a moment, it is as though everything has shifted in the spirit. Unless you are in a deep sleep, you can feel it, you can hear it, you can see it. People are headed to the battle line, they are ready to fight this time. Fool us once, but you will not fool us twice. This time people are ready.

If you listen to Dutch Sheets, the arrowheads have arrived in every state, the borders have been painted, and in the words of Tim Sheets, “We are the Calvary!” My friends, Intercessors have been working underground all summer long, preparing for the September and beyond showdown. It is a battle of the ages we are headed into, but the intercessors are fearless, for they have fought the lion and the bear underground where no one saw them and now they are about to take off the head of Goliath for all to see. The Most High God, has sent His angelic army to assist in this battle and He does not lose. Fear not, stand strong, fight hard and advance with every word from the mouth of God. No retreat, no surrender. We are called to be more than conquerors through Christ Jesus.

There is a rising, which means there is a falling. Proverbs 28:28 says, “When the wicked rise, men hide themselves; But when they perish, the righteous increase.” The reign of the wicked has run its course, righteousness will exalt this nation and the nations. Proverbs 28:1 “The wicked flee when no one is pursuing, But the righteous are bold as a lion.” Welcome to the showdown of the ages, no turning back, no retreat, only victory for the King of kings and the land that He owns, for the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. Advance for He has given us the victory!!!

We Are So Opinionated

Most people are only a specialist in one maybe two subjects, but it seems like everyone wants to have an opinion about everything. The challenge with this is when someone who specializes in a subject is in the room, people do not listen to what that person is saying, because they love what they have to say more than listening. We reveal our foolishness by our shallow understanding of things which comes out in our opinion. We are not able to know everything about everything, we actually know very little about anything, so what we make our specialty subject, politics, education, healthcare, business, leadership, marriage, family or even the Bible is what we know the most about. When someone has a passion for something and has spent time researching, studying and pursuing understanding about a subject, then we come with our opinion about it, we reveal our foolishness.

Church, we need to learn to love listening more than we love talking and sharing our opinion about everything of which we know next to nothing about. Once scroll through social media of your choice whether text or video will make you realize how opinionated and yet uninformed most people are. We know next to nothing about Trump or Obama; Oprah or Elon; yet we speak as though we have coffee with them weekly. Most people do a “daily devotion” but want to claim to be ones who understand the depths and mysteries of God. Still others want to raise a banner at a school board meeting spouting their opinion on a subject, but know nothing of the inner workings of the education system and how it has been infiltrated for indoctrination. The greatest gift we can give ourselves is the gift of listening for there are people around you who are studying a subject and they know things about it we don’t but could learn if only we would listen to learn not to hurry up and share our opinion.

The Lord has taught me to stay in my lane and learn with a listening ear about other lanes, for each lane is a full time job to learn and we really don’t know as much as we think we do, so it is high time to stop spouting opinions about things we know little to nothing about and start listening with both ears to those who are studying the subject being spoken about. Opinions, generalities and shallow knowledge is ignored more than we realize, people have ears for the authentic not the opinionated. Shhhhh its okay to not have to talk.

No Charge Does Not Mean No Value

Only God, who has infinite wisdom, can take a verse from Psalm 86 and turn it into a teaching of the likes I had never thought about. Verse 8 says, “There is no one like You among the gods, O Lord, Nor are there any works like Yours.” The way God works is how we are called to work, but do that we must be willing to change the way we have always worked in order to adapt to His works. Many people are not willing to do this, not because they don’t see the benefit in it, but because the works of God go against the grain of every culture in the world and in the church. I know it sounds crazy, but even the church works in a way that God doesn’t work.

The Holy Spirit began speaking to me about one of the ways He works and it is through generosity. He began to teach me this morning, generosity is a value of the kingdom, while charging is a value of the world. Generosity sees and hears the value of what is being shared freely and then responds with generosity. The challenge is we are so accustomed to being charged for that which is valuable, that when there is no charge attached to value, we can see and hear the value but not respond with generosity. This is why people in the church raise money, share their needs and ask for finances, because if they don’t reveal a charge, most have no clue how to respond in generosity.

We as the church have taught this system of charging, which is a system of the world to the church. We call it tithing. We value the church and God at 10%, so once people give their 10% to the church, most believe they have done their fair share to support the work of God. But that is not the kingdom. The kingdom does not value charging and does not put a limit on generosity. The kingdom of God values our response of generosity. When is the last time you responded to what you heard or saw or felt or experienced with generosity?

I don’t fault people for tithing, for giving offerings or for anything they give, I just think we have taught you to pay for conferences, books, teachings, we call it becoming a partner of the ministry, or whatever, but we have not taught people how to be generous. If you responded in generosity to the places and people who release value only, many would change where they put their money and I believe generosity would break the spirit of poverty. However, it starts with learning how to see, hear and know value and then obeying the still small voice inside of you that nudges you to be generous.

If we did this, one, people would most likely give more than 10% because generosity does not have a limit and two it would cut off the revenue streams to those who do not add any kingdom value to this world, which would cause one system to fall and another rise. What if the answer starts with generosity? Paul said, “God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good work.” (2 Corinthians 9:8). Generosity breaks the spirit of poverty in us, henceforth, the call to respond with generosity, not wait to be told how much you are being charged.

It’s John 2 Time

The problem with pride is we think everything is going to happen in our lifetime. We believe we are the last generation, we have been told Jesus is coming back in our lifetime. We have seen the charts, heard what bowls, seals, trumpets we are at. People have written books on blood moons, moeds, and the seven church ages. I call them the one message wonders, because they make me wonder why they have nothing else to say. Days go by, weeks go by and years go by, but the message they preach is still the same fear based, rapture rhetoric that creates in people fear of the future. Every time an earthquake happens we hear a Matthew 24 message. My friends, when is this message which is like stretched out elastic going to stop getting airplay in your head?

Pride is reading the word of God with an agenda, an idea of what it says, where humility is letting the word of God speak to you in now time about what it is saying. When we have a one message ministry, we reveal we are not spending time with a now time, in time, on time living God. Jesus Christ is alive right now, seated at the right hand of the Father in heavenly realms. He is accurately interceding for us, praying the very will of God for us. He sees all of humanity from Adam and Eve until today, but He also sees all of humanity that is yet to be born, for He knew us before we were created in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139) and there are many many more people who have yet to be created, that He sees.

I say all that to say, we are living in John 2 time. In John 2, they ran out of wine, so Jesus tells the servants to put water into vessels and serve it to the headwaiter first, then to the people at the event. When the headwaiter tastes it, he says, EVERYONE else serves the best wine first then when people have had their fill of wine, they serve the cheaper wine, but you have saved the best wine for now. My friends, the church is filled with wine that has now run out, but Jesus has been turning water into wine, filling jars, and is now serving it to a people full of another wine. When the people taste this water that has been turned into wine, they may not know where it came from but they will know it tastes so much better than the wine they are full of. The demarcation is going to be obvious to the taster. And remember the people may not have known where the wine came from, but the servants serving it did. Welcome to John 2 time!

Heart Highway

Did you know there is a highway in your heart? Do you know where that highway is going? Do you recognize what that highway is producing inside of you? Thanks to Dr. Caroline Leaf we know we have neuropathways in our brains. Thanks to Joyce Meyer we have been given tools to win on the Battlefield of the Mind. But only the word of God can pave a highway in your heart that leads to the presence of God to the person who is God.

Psalm 84 describes this highway so well, “How blessed is the man whose strength is in You, In whose heart are the highways to Zion! Passing through the valley of Baca they make it a spring; The early rain also covers it with blessings. They go from strength to strength, Every one of them appears before God in Zion.”

This heart highway is one of strength that only gets stronger and stronger. You know if your traveling this highway. This highway passes through valleys and makes springs in places called Baca which means weeping, this highway passes through, it does not camp out in grief, sadness, loneliness, depression. It not only passes through it creates springs of living water in places of barrenness that causes weeping. This highway is inside of us, you don’t have to build it, pave it or pay for it, but you do have to find it and when you do and when you choose to travel on it, it is a drive of the likes you will never forget.

The highway of your heart that leads to the presence of God is a highway that is worth looking for and when you find it is worth fighting to stay on. There is only one highway in your heart that leads to the presence of God, Jesus calls it the narrow way, but my friends, it is a roll the windows down, crank the radio up, kind of highway and there is no other road I would want to travel on all the days of my life. This highway leads you to the presence of God!

Equity Change

The new day is revealing new ways of doing ministry. Old ministry models no longer work, even though some are hanging on to them for dear life. I was speaking to someone recently and I thanked her for being willing to be buried as a root, so I could bear fruit as a branch. She was honored to know I view her as a root that I bear fruit with. It is a team approach, whether you are seen and heard or you are now a root that is not seen and heard. It takes maturity to be a root and to let someone else be the branch which is seen, heard and bearing visible fruit. I told this woman of God, I am going to bring back baskets of fruit for her to enjoy for the root she is in my life is so valuable to me.

In this new day of doing ministry, we have to understand the change from positional equity to relational equity. In the old ministry model if you had a title you were respected, honored, obeyed just because you had the title. People give themselves titles now, so just like participation awards, everyone seems to have a title. This means titles have lost their distinction in this new era in which we live. Positional equity is no longer working in a relational world.

What we are seeing is people who have relational equity are leaders without positional titles. These people love people when no one is looking. They are gathering people, praying for and with people, they are hanging out, doing life, they are checking in, not because they have to but because they want to and the people know it. Relational equity goes a long way in this new day. People know authenticity, they know who really cares. It is not the job of one person to build relational equity with everyone, but if you want people to join you in what you are doing, it will take relational equity in this new day.

Relational equity is the new currency for this kingdom age. Jesus has incredible relational equity with humanity, the challenge is people who bear the name of Jesus do not prioritize relational equity with His people. The billion soul harvest is not coming in because we have preachers of the likes we have never heard before, it will be because we have established relational equity with each other. Jesus said, they will know you are my disciples because of the way you love one another. Relational equity is kingdom currency. How rich are you in relational equity?

When Will We Arise

During the church age the enemy convinced leaders to keep people immature, weak and powerless. Youth is glamorized in the church age, the preaching of elementary things is all you hear, henceforth why you amen all the time. Milk is all that is served, so that people never grow up. But its not just the people that don’t grow up it is the leaders that don’t grow up either. So we run on the same hamster wheel over and over again and then wonder they the world has change so drastically for the worst. We find a theology that matches our immaturity so we can say, the darkness is going to get darker, it becomes an excuse so we don’t have to do anything but suck on our bottle of warm milk, enjoy our luke warm Christianity, and hang on until Jesus comes as though this is what Jesus preached. Friends, this is not the gospel of the kingdom Jesus preached, this is why we are not being called to repent on some sin we are not even committing, but we are being called to repent of luke warm, half-hearted, disinterested Christianity for the kingdom of God is at hand.

I was reading Psalm 82 this morning and it says, “God takes His stand in His own congregation; He judges in the midst of the rulers. How long will you judge unjustly And show partiality to the wicked? Selah.” God is standing in His church asking the question amongst His people who He called rulers and says, how long will you judge unjustly? How long will you show partiality to the wicked? He is asking His people how long will you tolerate wicked structures, wicked principalities, wicked doctrines and narratives in your nation? It is a correction that corrects us up. It is a call to stand up and judge wickedness and establish righteousness. It is the assignment of the ambassadof Christ to make earth like heaven. We are not here on earth to sing a few songs, hear a sermon and go home, we are here on earth to reign and rule, making earth like heaven, so Jesus has a place to come back to and defeat death once and for all. Death is the final enemy, Jesus will defeat that enemy but we are called to defeat all the other ones. What are we doing? No wonder we are bored as believers, we don’t know our assignment nor have we been trained to do it.

It’s a new day, there are true five fold ministers arising and will be in positions of leadership with a voice of authority to activate citizens of this kingdom to do the work of the ministry. Lazy boys are about to be transformed into active agents on kingdom assignments; weeping woman are about to be transformed into those who do the dance of the Mahanaim. The days of passivity are over, the days of inactivity are behind us, days of kingdom advancement are here. Everything is changing, nothing will look the same, old ways are done, old structures are being destroyed, old mindsets are giving way to new pathways. We are getting a nations wide transformation of the likes only God Himself can do.
