Long Range View

One of the challenges we as people face is we are more accustomed to hearing the voice of people and know the fellowship of people, but we are not accustomed to the voice of God and the fellowship with God. The reason this is a challenge is because we speak from the view of people rather than the vantage point of spending time with God. If you want to know who’s voice you are more accustomed to, listen to what comes out when you speak. Listening to what you say, reveals who’s voice has seeded your heart. Jesus said, “Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks” (Matthew 12:34). Listen to what you say so you know what your heart has been seeded with.

The reason it is important to know who is seeding you is because those seeds are affecting your view. If the voice/fellowship of people have seeded us more than the voice and fellowship of God we will have a limited, short term view of life. When we have limited, small, short term views of scripture, life and world events, it reveals we have been listening to and seeded by the words of people not of God. The more time you spend with the Most High God, the more your view expands, your thoughts enlarge and your perspective is bigger than you and your little life span. There are so many benefits to spending time with God and knowing His voice.

Psalm 90:2-4 says, “Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God. You turn man back into dust And say, “Return, O children of men.” For a thousand years in Your sight are like yesterday when it passes.” God views a thousand years like yesterday, because He is an everlasting God. We can have the same view because Ecclesiastes 3:11 says, “He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart, yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” We have the capacity to have a God view about time, eternity and we too can see a thousand years like yesterday, but we must spend time with God! Lift up your eyes, we are here to make things beautiful, its long overdue we have an eternal view not in heaven but for earth.
