Two Cities

Two trees in the garden; two choices given by Moses (life or death); two paths (the narrow or wide); two cities (Babylon or Jerusalem). We have choices to make all the time. No one can choose for you. Every choice is only the beginning. Choices come with manifestations. Adam and Eve were the first two people to be given a choice as to who they would listen to, God who walked with them in the cool of the day, or the serpent who told them lies about Yahweh. Real love always gives you a choice, for real love is not a dictator, a commander, it is not controlling. Real love creates choices and lets you choose what you want. No wonder Joshua said to the people, choose this day whom you will serve, but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Joshua made his choice, but he could not choose for anyone else, they have to make their own choice.

There are two cities in the Bible which are prevelant and prominent throughout. Those two cities are Babylon and Jerusalem. There is so much to say about these two cities, but suffice it to say, Babylon is of the earth and Jerusalem is from above. These two cities offer us a choice as to which one we want to live in, where we want to invest, the culture we want to learn. Both have history and both are a mystery in many ways, but once you know about these two cities, you will understand they represent two systems and we must choose which we want to operate in. The church is standing at a crossroads, a decision point, one city is rising, another one is falling; one is coming down from heaven the other is going to be put under our feet. The question is which city has your heart?

Matthew 6:19-21 says, “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

I am going to do a 4 week study on these two cities via zoom and if you want to join in email me at apostolicresourcecenter@gmail.com and I will send you the details. The church is not talking about this, but it is so prevalent in our reality we must discuss this for it is affecting us in ways we do not even fully understand. The invitation from the Lord is to come out of her My people, but how can you come out of what you do not even recognize you are in? Let me know if you want to be apart of these zoom meetings. It’s time!
