Sun Is Out

I am sitting at Panera Bread in Mount Juliet, TN this morning as I have an appointment just around the corner to get a car stereo installed and as I am sitting here I am reading Psalm 30. I read verse 5 that says “For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last for the night, But a shout of joy comes in the morning.” I have a flash vision and it is of someone under the covers in their bed and the sun is shining, a new day is upon us, but they are only peeking out from under the covers and I hear them say, “I am too afraid to come out into the new day. I don’t believe He is not mad at me, I do not want to be hurt anymore.” The vision and vocal was so obvious to me.

I then hear the Holy Spirit say, “Memories are what is keeping people from entering into the new day. They do not believe anything is going to be different, so they want to remain in bed, under their covers in the spirit.” Friends, I am here to announce to you, the sun is shining, the new day has broke, it is not like anything we have ever heard or seen before. You will not be disappointed but you just get out of bed.

I am not sure what your bed is, what you are hiding under, but cast off the covers, kick your feet around and stand up, get up, the new day has broke, the sun is shining, the birds are singing and the air is fresh. The skies are blue and it is going to a bright, bright, bright sunshiny day. The Lord says to us today, “For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last for the night, But a shout of joy comes in the morning.” It is a new day and you will be so glad you got up out of bed for it!

Storehouses Are Open

Many prophetic people at the beginning of this year spoke about a coming separation in the body of Christ between the wheat and the chaff. Many times we have identified the wheat as believers in Jesus Christ and the chaff as unbelievers. However, now that the seperation has manifested it was not about separating for the sake of identification the believers from unbelievers, but between believers. It was a a move of God that is identifying so clearly those who are hungry for God and those who are satisfied with their relationship with God.

The demarcation is obvious. Hungry people act, talk and desire differently than those who have need of nothing or who think they know so much. This demarcation was not as obvious even a few months back, but it is very obvious now. People who want to know the truth, people who want to know Jesus, people who want to know the word of God are literally pulling it out of those who are storehouses of revelation truth. The pull is not for some anointing or personal prophetic word, the pull is for the truth about Jesus Christ. There is such a hunger in people for God, it is obvious in those who don’t have the same desire.

We were in Houston this past weekend and the Holy Spirit swept into the room and when He did, everything changed. Tears were falling down faces, cries were being heard all over the room, tissues were being used by the boxes. It was not the message that did it, it was the word of God, for He had a prophetic declaration for those women from Isaiah 40:1 which says, “Your warfare has ended!” As soon as they heard that one statement from God the whole room shifted. I can’t explain it, but the hunger for God is obvious in many and the lack of hunger is very obvious in others.

The body of Christ is being identified as the hungry and the satisfied and God is raising up people who are storehouses of revelation truth and they are distributing freely to the hungry and it is happening in many places. Storehouses are now open and truth is being poured out. The seed they are sowing is revelation truth, and it is feeding a famished body of Christ.

Isaiah 55:1-2 “Ho! Every one who thirsts, come to the waters;
And you who have no money come, buy and eat.
Come, buy wine and milk
Without money and without cost.
“Why do you spend money for what is not bread,
And your wages for what does not satisfy?
Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good,
And delight yourself in abundance.”

Peace Be Still

A couple weeks ago a friend of mine spoke to me about the war within. He said we must no longer be at war within ourselves if we are going to access all that God has prepared for us in this day and hour. Those words have been mulling around inside of me and continue to challenge me. I had never thought about having a war inside of me, but the truth is most people have a war inside of themselves. If we had peace inside of us we would have peace all around us. This goes for people, cities, churches, and nations. The war around is because of the war inside of us.

Now today I am reading James 4 in my personal time and it says, “What is the source of quarrels and conflicts among you? Is not the source your pleasures that wage war in your members?” The source of your pleasures, what? James goes on to say we lust and we are envious; we ask but don’t receive because we will spend it on ourselves. How do you stop a war inside of you with these kind of fighting words?

The Lord is inviting us to declare a cease fire inside of us. He is inviting us to agree to a peace treaty with ourselves, so we stop fighting, stop arguing, stop complaining as though we know the big picture of all things. He is inviting us to rest not war; to peace not strife; to the pace of grace not striving. The invitation from the Lord is not to take up arms, but to lift up our hands in praise. There is so much He has prepared for us, but until we are done with the war in us, we will not be one He trusts to build through us.

The Bible says, because David was a man of war, he could not build a house for God, so it was passed on to the next generation. Solomon was a man of peace and he built the house for God. Friends we are the house of God, we are the temple of the Holy Spirit and I hear the spirit saying, “Peace be still!” There is so much to inherit, but it begins with ending the war within.

Turning Our Power Back On

The chiropractor is a doctor that gives you an adjustment because something inside of you is out of alignment. Once the adjustment is done you feel better, for in the words of my chiropractor, “I turned your power back on!” I loved when he would say this to his patients, because whatever was hindering the power of the nervous system in the spine to be hindered, he removed the hinderance and in doing so they were operating by design again and it made them feel better.

In the spirit the Lord wants to give us chiropractic adjustments daily, weekly, monthly and even sometimes hourly. He wants to adjust our attitude, our perspective, our long range vision, our thoughts, and our doctrine. The one thing He wants to adjust above all others is our view of Him. So many of us view God through our life’s circumstances that we do not even realize we have an out of alignment view of God. This view is not sin, but it is hindering our ability to see Him as He is.

This morning in prayer I was praying Psalm 25 and the psalmist says, “Make me know Your ways, teach me Your paths, lead me in You truth and teach me.” As I was praying those very words, the Holy Spirit gave me an adjustment from believing I am waiting for God to I am waiting with God. This may seem small and insignificant to you, but it is revolutionary if you can hear the truth in it. How often have we said, oh I am just waiting on God for this promise or that promise, for this breakthrough or that breakthrough, this healing or that healing. We say it all the time, but the Lord does not want us waiting for something, He wants us to see we are waiting with someone.

Waiting with someone makes the wait that much easier, for we then know we are not alone. We are waiting with God for whatever it is we are waiting for, but we are not waiting alone. I hope this adjustment makes you feel better, I know I am walking out of this prayer time with a fresh pep in my spiritual step.

Deluge!!!

DELUGE! This is the word the Lord spoke through me last night as I was outside looking at the “Pink” moon and praying for some friends who needed rain for their crops in KS and rivers of resources to flow for their business in TN. DELUGE, not a word I use on a daily basis so the word caught my by surprise and had to look up the definition. DELUGE is a great flood; a heavy downpour; something that overwhelms as if by a great flood.

When I read a heavy downpour, immediately the Holy Spirit reminded me of Elijah on Mount Carmel in 1 Kings 18 which says, “Now Elijah said to Ahab, Go up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of the roar of a heavy shower.” This was after the fire fell on the altar, Israel declared, the Lord, He is God, the Lord, He is God! And after the prophets of Baal were seized and slew. Th sound of heavy rain, that is a DELUGE, Elijah was calling for.

My friends in KS said they were in the worst drought since 1936 when she texted me last night to pray. Then this morning, as I am reading 1 Kings 18, she sends me a text message and says, “IT’S RAINING!!!!” Only God!!!! I have been shouting, celebrating, singing, dancing all over the kitchen as yet again our God said, “DELUGE” and now it is raining in KS on my friends land.

Here is what I want to decree over you today, DELUGE!!! May rivers of resources flow in you and through you like a DELUGE to reveal the abundance of the kingdom of God. May it overwhelm you as to how kind, how powerful, how faithful our God is. May His DELUGE remind you of His overwhelming love for you.

Remember what Elijah said before it began to rain, “In a little while, the sky grew black with clouds and wind, and there was a heavy shower.” Let the darkness be a reminder to you there is a DELUGE coming your way. The darkness is a sign of the abundance of rain, you are about to experience a DELUGE!!!!

Mercy Triumphs Over Judgment

What if we have heard a different gospel for so long we believe the gospel we are hearing is the gospel of Jesus Christ? We hear the word the gospel and assume it only means, the death, burial and resurrection of Christ, but it is not just that, it is also the preaching and living out of the character of Christ not just the work He did on the cross for our salvation. Hear me out for a minute.

Christians are challenging, not because we are not saved and “going to heaven” but because we are easily offended, slow to forgive, quick to give others the silent treatment, inconsistent givers, titles driven, and wanting to be entertained not to serve. Okay, I could go on, but I am going to stop there. In one word, Christians are judgemental in the way they treat others but crying, “Don’t judge me!” Friends, I am seeing so much flesh in people that call themselves Christians. Yes we are sinners saved by grace, but we are also called to display the glory of God in the land of the living, by being image bearers of the One we claim lives inside of us.

I love how we go to DC to repent for our nations sins, but they are usually for some behavioral sin that “unbelievers” are committing like abortion. However, 2 Chronicles 7:14 says, “If My people, who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray….” This is a personal prayer closet call, not a national day of repentance for some behavior we think America has done to make God mad and judge us. Friends, we are the light of the world that is dirty so people can’t see it. We are the salt of the earth losing our saltiness so people can’t taste it.

We need a personal revival in our prayer closet for the character of Christians is little to be desired. James 2:13 says, “For judgment will be merciless to one who has shown no mercy; mercy triumphs over judgment.” We must stop preaching, listening to and echoing the gospel of judgment and get in our prayer closet, remember he who has been forgiven much loves much, ask the Lord to forgive us for being a brat and get our character aligned with Christ, for there is a lot of work to do, but it will take humility personally to lay down our lives for our friends. Mercy is being poured out in a way we cannot see for we have believed the gospel of judgment and we must repent personally. This is good news if you can hear it!

The Generational Echo

The Bible is the all time number one selling book worldwide! It is also the most weaponized book in the world. These pages; these words; these authors; carry such revelation, power and authority, people fight each other to be right about what they read. Denominations are created based on what people believe is said in this one book called the Bible. The enemy uses this book to find strategy and then twists it for an evil plot. I love the Bible more than any other book, it is the only book I read literally everyday, why because it is full of life.

The Bible is not written by dead men or living men; the Bible is authored by the breath of God, the living word, the resurrected Christ, a current reality people were talked about in this ancient manuscript. There are more books that could have been written and probably were written that didn’t make it into this codex we call the Bible. John said, “Jesus did many others things as well. If everyone one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.” (John 21:25). So there is even more than these 66 books, but these are the ones we read, we preach, we teach. Oh how I love my Bible.

The Bible is the greatest generational echo we will ever hear. It was written or spoken many many many years ago, yet we in our generation pick up the echo and speak it forth as though it was written today. David said in Psalm 22:30-31 “Posterity will serve Him; It will be told of the Lord to the coming generation. They will come and will declare His righteousness To a people who will be born, that He has performed it.” Friends we are not the first nor the last generation, but we are an echo of what has been said and we are speaking into what will be heard by a generation not yet born. Oh the power of God’s words. I pray we carry the echo from history and enjoy it in our current reality and then speak it so a future generation can enjoy the echo as well. The word of God is a multi-generational echo that knows no end, just like its author, God Himself!

God’s Property

Financial integrity is tested in so many ways. The test is not to shame you with a pass or fail grade, but it is to reveal to you, to the enemy and to the atmosphere what you will do when a financial test arises. I tell people that it is suddenlies that reveal our authentic response.

For you that follow me on these blogs you know I walk my dog every morning and the things I find tend to become messages I share. One day there was a literal 2 year old baby girl walking down the street on one of my walks with no one in sight, so yes I found a baby one day on my walk. Other times I find random things like hot wheel cars or “&” symbols. I pick them up and ponder the significance of them as I notice when something is different since I walk the same route everyday.

Well it happened again today, I was walking and lo and behold on the ground was an iPad. Yes a dark grey iPad mini. No scratches, no broken screen, no notice of it being thrown out of a car window, it was as though it was laid there on the ground for me to find. I pick it up and my first thought is, who can I give this to my son and I have an iPad. But as I am walking I flip it over and there is a sticker on the back that says, “Property of…” I knew this iPad had an owner and it was to be returned to them not retained by me. So, I got home plugged it in, called the owner and let them know I found their iPad and described to them the condition it was in.

This experience this morning spoke to me that what we do with property that which belongs to another says a lot. Jesus said in Luke 16:12 “If you have not been faithful with someone else’s property, who will give you your own?” Most people take care of their own needs, their own property, but we are called to also steward well other people’s stuff. It also spoke to me that God is about to pick up people who have been discarded and return them to their rightful owner. Church we are God’s property, we belong to Him and others have tried to take us as their own but God is being revealed as the owner of our life and He is calling us back to Himself. Prayer for others is letting God know I found your property and I want to let you know where it is located and what condition it is in.

Faith Talk

Faith! Such a powerful word packed with so much authority, yet in many ways so elusive. It is a common word in the Christian church and is said frequently among believers. But what is faith exactly, practically? I have faith, I know I do, for me faith meant I believe in Jesus, I trust His word. Yet, I knew there was more to this word and what the Lord has been showing me I want to share with you. This is not some huge revelation for most, but for me it is added flesh to this spirit word that has always been in my life, it is how I walk, but never really could explain in concrete simple language. I hope this helps you as it has helped me tremendously.

Faith is confidence in God and in His word! Hebrews 11:1 says, “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not yet seen.” Faith is substantive, it is strong, it is steady, and it is evidence of the invisible. Faith is confidence in God and in His word. Simple!

Is it any wonder the enemy seeks to steal, kill and destroy our confidence in God’s word, God’s power, God’s people, God’s church, God’s government? Answered prayer gives us confidence God hears us; miracles, signs and wonders gives us confidence God sees us; financial breakthroughs tell us God is with us; salvations tells us God is for us and not against us. But day to day when we pray and we don’t see what we say, it erodes our confidence.

My friends, we need some wins, kingdom of God wins. Not another platform revival where we have great services in a building, but no impact in our families or communities. We need some wins in our marriages; we need some wins in raising our children; we need some wins in our jobs; we need some wins in our health; we need some wins in our dreams coming true; we all need some wins. Wins are not just for some, God is for us all and He wins and He wants us to win. I am praying for you and please pray for me, that whatever a win looks like for you or for me, that God would give us some wins, for it will cause our faith, which is our confidence, to grow and Jesus said, when I come will I find “FAITH” on earth, so our wins are for His glory!

Speaking In Surround Sound

I have a friend who is non-verbal and he has taught me so much. We hear the words non-verbal and it means they cannot speak, but we have limited speech to words, there are so many ways to communicate. We speak with our silence, our distance, our attitude, our presence, our body language, our driving, our posture, our hands, our feet, our eyes. The innumerous ways we communicate is astounding to me and it is not just us as humans that communicate, it is all of creation that communicates.

I have a dog and though that dog does not use words, he communicates to me what he wants in a variety of ways. The Bible says in Psalm 19 “The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands. Day to day pours forth speech, And night to night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words; Their voice is not heard.” The heavens speak of the sun, moon, stars, birds, wind, clouds, all things in the air are all pouring forth speech, but what are they saying?

We have such a one dimensional way of hearing and because the “new agers” have captured the stars and called them a Zodiac; or captured the wind with their dream catcher; or told us astrology is wicked; we no longer listen to the heavens let alone have a clue what they are speaking to us. The Hebrew people listen to the moon in determining the beginning of a month. Abraham was invited to look at the stars to know how many descendants he would have when he was childless (Genesis 12). The magi saw a star and knew a king was born and took off immediately to follow that star.

We have so many ways that God communicates with us, but we must not be arrogant and think we know more than we do. God is infinite, we are finite; God is eternal, we are temporal; God is all knowing, we know very little. Humility is the key to accessing the more God has for us, but we must be willing to realize we don’t know as much as we think we do. We don’t know what the birds are saying or the stars are speaking but we fight over the breadcrumbs of what we have been taught. There is so much more, come up higher, those petty arguments are not worth missing the majesty of God over. He is speaking in surround sound, can you hear it?
