Gate Change

Everything changed the other day. Did you hear the shot heard around the world? Could you hear what the spirit was saying amidst all the voices of the media in both the world and the church? God will never shout over all the other voices trying to prove they prophesied it; they saw it; they know who did it. No, the Holy Spirit will whisper just like He was not in the wind, the earthquake or the fire in the days of Elijah, but He was the gentle whisper that caused Elijah to pull his cloak over his face and stand at the mouth of the cave (1 Kings 19:11-13). Did you hear the still small whisper in the midst of all the noise? If not it is okay, the voices are loud and they all want to be heard, the Holy Spirit whispers and sends you to your knees not to the streets.

Here is what I heard. I heard the Lord say we have changed gates. The church has notoriously been in a defensive posture living off of Matthew 16 which says, “And I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.” Well, His church is built, it may not look like you think, it may not be who you think, but God has built His church not out of brick and mortar, not on the back of men’s names, but in the hearts of His people. He may not have the largest church all gathered in one building, but the Lord has the largest church in the hearts of men and women world wide and they have heard the the Lord say, “Will the real church please stand up.” And stand up they have. So, we are no longer building a church at the gates of hell. We have changed gates.

We are now the gate of the righteousness, we now, with the Lord are in charge, we now are on the offense. Proverbs 14:19 says, “The evil will bow down before the good, and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.” The gates have shifted from a church at the gates of hell to the evil bowing down at the gates of the righteous. It is an Esther moment in history, the tables have turned, the wicked are now bowing at the gates of the righteous. Everything changed and now nothing will be the same again. We, the church, are the gate of the righteous and the wicked are bowing down. Can you see it, can you hear it? It came as a whisper, because authority has nothing to do with volume and righteousness exalts a nation.
