Seers and Hearers Are Seated

I was listening to a sermon yesterday and the preacher was speaking about being seated in heavenly places and how Jesus saw what the Father was doing and did likewise. As I listened I realized my hearing is pretty good, but my seeing is not as sharp. I asked the Lord to give me eyes to see from the seat I have been given according to Ephesians 2, I am seated in heavenly places with Christ. I want my eyes sharpened to see what God is doing and my ears tuned so I can hear what He is saying.

What an honor to be invited to be seers and hearers of Almighty God. No other religion has a God who wants us to see and hear the way Yahweh does with His people. He gave us eyes so we can see and ears so we can hear, not just earthly matters but God’s heart, God’s ideas, God’s plans for earth as it is in heaven.

I began to wonder how much time we waste doing things just to do them rather than gaining a view and a sound from our seated place in heaven. We are dual citizens, we can sit in heavenly places and sit in earthly places simultaneously because of Christ in us is the hope of glory.

My prayer is that our eyes would be opened and sharp to see what God is doing, our ears would be tuned and attentive to what God is saying. We can see and hear people, but can we see and hear God? Oh that we would be able to see and hear.

Psalm 46:9-10 “Attention, all! See the marvels of GOD! He plants flowers and trees all over the earth, Bans war from pole to pole, breaks all the weapons across his knee. Step out of the traffic! Take a long, loving look at me, your High God, above politics, above everything.”

Can you see? Can you hear? God is doing amazing things among us everyday in every way. I hope you are not missing the day and the hour we are in, for it is glorious and growing exponentially. It is truly an everyone, everywhere, everyday move of God we are in. Can you see it? Can you hear it? If not, ask the Lord for eyes to see and ears to hear what He is doing on earth as it is in heaven. Www.apostolicresourcecenter.org
