There are so many things to learn not just from other people, but from all of creation. I have a small dog and we go walking every morning. It is our first order of business. We usually do at least a mile a morning and then other walks during the day.

Yesterday while being in the area across the street from our house, my dog saw the neighbor’s dog, who is a brown boxer and the two of them have had words in the past. My dog is small but he is mighty and when he saw the boxer yesterday afternoon he was showing the boxer he is not intimidated nor scared.

I was smiling watching him, but then when the boxer walked by on his leash, my dog who does not need a leash in our neighborhood, 1)Marked his terroritory and 2)Threw grass with his two back legs toward this boxer. As I was watching this unfold, the Holy Spirit said, that is how you show the enemy you are not scared nor intimidated and how you say, this is my turf, back off!

This whole scene reminded me of what Jesus said to his disciples in Matthew 10:14 where Jesus said, “If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, leave that home or town and shake the dust off your feet.”

Friends, if my little dachshund is not afraid of a boxer, why are we who have Christ in us, the hope of glory afraid or intimidated by a defeated devil’s voice that is all talk and no action? It is long past time that we mark our territory, shake the dust off our feet and get on with our day or enjoying a walk with our Father God and His son Jesus. Www.apostolicresourcecenter.org

We have been taught a lot about Jesus being the Chief Cornerstone. He is the apostle and high priest of our faith. Apostles according to Paul are part of the foundation. Jesus is the Chief Cornerstone, the foundation, the 101 level of anything we do.

The Chief Cornerstone teaches us about elementary things Iike love, forgiveness, truth, grace, evangelism, salvation, the cross, the 10 Comandments, obedience, abiding, oh the number of things that make up the foundation. I am so thankful for the foundation of our faith on which we stand as the body of Christ.

The Holy Spirit has been speaking to me about another aspect of our great and mighty God, Jesus the Christ. He is also the Capstone. Zechariah 4 says, ““This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty. “What are you, mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground. Then he will bring out the capstone to shouts of ‘God bless it! God bless it!’”

We have known the Chief Cornerstone and we will always know Him as such, but we are about to know Him as the Capstone. This will be something we have not experienced before, henceforth the shouts of Grace! Grace! As Jesus is revealed as the Capstone, this will be a manifestation of Him we have not known before.

Capstone Jesus will come with a love that we have never known; truth that will transform us; He is coming with a divine detox that all of us need; as the Capstone Christ we are going to experience power that heals, delivers and restores; oh the beauty of the Capstone Christ we are beginning to and will continue to experience.

This revelation of Christ as the Capstone is wide and varied, unique and ancient, it is truly a time of “we have never gone this way before” so the fear of the Lord causes us to not rush, not push, not proclaim, but to ponder, to pause, to observe, for the Capstone Christ is being revealed and it is coming with the shouts of grace, grace. We are in the shadow of Halloween approaching here in America. People have many feelings and make many comments about this holiday. There are skeletons in people’s yards, blow up ghosts, pumpkins and goblins all lit up so as you drive by their house you can see it. Stores are now putting on clearance many of their Halloween supplies for last minute shoppers. Costumes are flying off the racks as people prepare to enter into this “holiday”.

I have some friends who were in their front yard as I was driving by, so I stopped and said hi. They told me about their neighbors who were erecting a very tall skeleton and how they did not like it. After leaving that conversation, I had thought about how annoyed and bothered by plastic skeletons and blow up goblins people are.

I know it is the spirit of the “holiday” and the symbols are bothersome. So I was thinking what could we, who don’t celebrate this “holiday”, could put in our yard to make a different statement. I thought what if we got a large communion cup and loaf of bread and then we could declare, “They overcame by the blood of the lamb, the word of their testimony and loving their lives not even unto death.” (Revelation 12:11) I thought this would be a great counter decoration.

But then today the Lord gave me a revelation of the bronze serpent on the pole in Number 21, which was God’s antidote for a people who grumbled and complained so got bit by fiery serpents. “The LORD said to Moses, “Make a fiery serpent and set it on a pole, and everyone who is bitten, when he sees it, shall live.” So Moses made a bronze serpent and set it on a pole. And if a serpent bit anyone, he would look at the bronze serpent and live.”

My antidote to this “holiday” is not complaining, but looking up to the bronze serpent on the pole, which is Jesus on the cross and as we look at Him we live. We need to change where we look, so maybe next year, erect a bronze serpent on a pole in your front yard as an antidote to the skeletons, goblins and ghosts in the yard across the street. On Saturday the Lord whispered to me the words, “Junkyard”. When God gives us a word, it is not to shame or condemn, it is always redemptive, for He is a redeemer of everything, but I must say, I did not know what to do with what I heard.

On Sunday along the highway there was a junkyard old and damaged cars. It went for blocks right along the highway, so I stared at it and the Lord said again, “Junkyard”.

Then on Monday morning while walking the dog, I see on the ground a red matchbox car, it has a dented roof, unstable wheels and a crushed windshield, and the Lord says for the third time, “Junkyard”.

I get home and do some research on the word junkyard and what I learned was fascinating prophetically. A junkyard — also called a salvage yard or wrecking yard — is a place where vehicles that are no longer functional, wrecked, or abandoned are brought. They are: stripped of valuable or reusable parts, their metals are recycled, and the remainder is eventually crushed, melted down, or repurposed. In essence, a junkyard is a place where: What was once designed for movement has been stopped. But here’s what’s fascinating — nothing in a junkyard is truly “waste.” Every car, even the most mangled one, holds potential for restoration, redemption, or reuse. (ChatGPT).

I was shouting, that is it, cars, ministries, people, marriages, friendships, companies, countries, cities, families, they may be damaged, but they are candidates for restoration, redemption or reuse. I know people who feel like they are in a junkyard, they once were something people wanted and now they feel like they are useless, done with what they used to have or do, but God says, “I am restoring what is in the junkyard.”

A junkyard may look like chaos, but in truth, it’s a warehouse of hidden value. Prophetically, a car junkyard becomes a metaphor for: People or ministries once full of purpose and movement but now sidelined, wrecked, or stripped down. Lives once in motion — full of potential, now resting among the broken. But God doesn’t see the junkyard as final. He sees it as a field of resurrection — the place where He selects raw material for rebuilding. (ChatGPT)

I am speaking to the people who feel like they are in a junkyard, the Lord is coming to restore, rebuild, repurpose you. You are not forgotten, you are not done with you, you are not last years model, you were made for today. You will not miss what God is doing in the earth. You were born for such a time as this. Sonya invited me to come to Mississippi to a conference with her and her Pastor, who is now my friend. I have spoken at Pastor Carolyn’s church while in Houston on a few occasions now. Going to support her and the ministry she was going to do in Mississippi was the motivation for this trip. 

Darleen and I packed the car, drove 6 1/2 hours to Foxworth, MS, which is 10 miles from the MS/LA border. We arrived at our hotel 90 minutes before the beginning on the first session on Friday night. We do a quick change of clothes and head to the meeting which is 8 minutes down the road. 

The town of Foxworth is population 532, which means something to me, because that was the population of Smithton, MO where I was first touched by the power of God in revival. My anticipation for this weekend was high. We arrive at the house where the conference is happening and come upon a small pavilion in the backyard where about 40 chairs are set up. 

Worship begins and immediately the glory of God fills the atmosphere. I am wondering who is this woman leading worship and where am I? I enter into worship with the sky above my head and the sound of angels singing all around me. 25-30 people are in attendance, but numbers did not matter, we were in a glory filled atmosphere and God’s presence was palpable. 

This happened both Friday night and Saturday all day, into the night. Kay, the worship leader kept saying, I do not know how to transition when the glory is among us. I didn’t need to stop, but the ministers in that location were generals in the faith and honoring them and their message demanded we transition. 

We had 5 speakers, John Mark Pool, Paul and Melissa Bradford, Andy McDougal, and Carolyn Sisson. I had never heard of these people before, but with an average age of 70, I heard from generals in the faith, who know the glory of God. All of whom have met, know and ministered with Ruth Ward Heflin. 

I was in a small town, a smaller gathering, but I am telling you, there was something about this weekend, that has marked me forever on my journey with God. One final God wink for me was when we went to the MS/LA border to see a historic house and what we found was a little white country church that looked just like the one in Smithton, MO where I first encountered the power of God and my apostolic leader Steve Gray. Markers matter and this weekend in Mississippi was a marker. 

About 8 years ago the Lord spoke to me and said, “I have enough people above ground, but I have very few people underground. Would you be willing to go underground for Me and do some work?” I immediately said, “I would be honored to do anything you need Lord.” 

A friend of mine, once said, a healed land is a healed people. The Hebrew people understand the land, they are not just a nation, they are a nation, a people and a land. The connection is so tight, it is inseparable. As Americans we do not have this understanding, but the Lord has taught me how much He loves the people and the land called America and so do I. 

Going underground meant redigging wells according to Genesis 26; salting rivers according to 2 Kings 2; pouring oil on the soil and salting the land (very rarely) according to Genesis 19; and releasing the sound of salvation for the nation by blowing the shofar according to Joel 2. All of these things and more was God bring healing to the land He called me to preach to called America. 

I am in Mississippi right now and right before we crossed into the city we would be staying in, I got a phone call to pray, then the next thing we saw was the Pearl River. The very river that flows through this city. We got out of the car, blew the shofar and declared this city will recognize Jesus as the pearl of great price. This 444 mile long river, was tuned to the frequency of heaven through the sound of the shofar, then we salted the river declaring neither death nor barrenness any longer in this location and region. 

This river is the border for Mississippi and Louisiana of which we are literally 10 miles from the border. Then after a powerful meeting outside under the stars as the glory of God wafted into that location as we worshipped, we stopped at a store on the way home. Then after young people in the store said, be careful at your hotel, for the gangs in this city are mean. They told us to be careful multiple times. 

God knew about this city and what they needed, we didn’t, but now the Pearl River is salted, the sound of the shofar has been blown and whether they know it or not, their land is being healed. What was run by gangs of people who wanted to cause harm will now be run by the kingdom of God that comes to heal, save and deliver. We are called to heal the land. 

Psalm 115:16 “The heavens belong to our God; they are his alone, but he has given us the earth and put us in charge.” 

When a spirit of intimidation arises it seeks to stop forward progress. It can come through words spoken, a circumstance you did not see coming, or a variety of other things. The goal of intimidation is the same, stop forward movement. Many Christians call it an attack, I would say it is more of an ambush. The enemy of our souls tries to ambush us, to scare us, to intimidate us.

This morning while walking the dog, which is an every morning occurrence, a situation arose in which a dog on a leash came charging toward my dog, barking, and it was still dark. The owner had another dog he was holding, so how this one got out of his grip I am not sure, but it was very unusual, for I see this young man with two dogs all the time.

Notwithstanding, my dog and his dog start fighting, and then I grab my dog, who is a dauschund, put him in my arms to give him some elevation for safety and I speak gently to the other dog, so the owner can grab the leash. The other dog he is holding on the leash is bigger and meaner than the one he is trying to grab the leash for.

It was an unusual morning to say the least, but as I was walking home, I sensed it was a spirit seeking to intimidate me, to make me afraid to walk in the morning with my dog, like I do everyday. As I sat at my desk, preparing to open my bible the Holy Spirit said, “Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.” I smiled and said yes, yes, yes you are right.

I then open to pray Psalm 114 and it says, “Many years ago the Jewish people escaped Egypt’s tyranny, so that Israel, God’s people of praise, would become his holy sanctuary, his kingdom on the earth. The Red Sea waters saw them coming and ran the other way! Then later, the Jordan River too moved aside so that they could all pass through. The land shuddered with fear. Mountains and hills shook with dread.”

The ambush came with a spirit of intimidation, but the Holy Spirit came with a reminder for me and for all of us, that creation trembles as we move throughout the earth, the enemy flees when we resist him, and greater is is He in you, in me, than he that is in the world. I was praying for some people that have shared with me they are struggling with depression. Not debilitating depression, but a low hummmm of depression that keeps them locked into a cycle of defeat, discouragement, disappointment and despair.

While praying for them the Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, “Expression is the answer for depression.” I immediately looked up the definition of expression and it reveals expression as manifestation, communication, utterance, and act or product of pressing out.

An act or product of pressing out stood out to me, for people that are dealing with any level of depression do not want to press out of it, they say they can’t. So, I looked up depression as a word, not clinically, rather definitionally. Depression is low spirits, sadness, despair, loneliness, reduction in activity or force, a pressing down, lowering or hollow.

The reduction in activity or force is what stuck out to me about depression and it explained to me why the Lord said, “Expression is the answer to depression.” When we reduce our output due to depression the answer is to press out or increase our expression in order to break out of depression.

This activity can include prayer, praise, service to others, communication, walking, excercise, anything that causes us to express ourselves. The feeling is to do nothing when depression comes, but the call of God is to do something. “Expression is the answer to depression.”

Proverbs 13:12 says, “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life.” Then Proverbs 17:22 says, “A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”

There are many reasons to be depressed, but the answer to depression is expression says the Lord. Now we get to choose what we are going to do, will we remain depressed or will we rise up and start to express how great our God is. The way out of depression is expression. For the past 24 hours the Lord has been saying, “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.” (Exodus 3:5). Over and over again I am hearing, “Tell my people, take off your shoes, the place where you are standing is holy ground.”

We are a go kind of people. If someone says something we don’t like we go find another friend. If we don’t like the prices of a product, we go to another store. If we don’t agree with the Pastor of the church we are in, we find another church. If we don’t think we are in love any more we go find another mate. Nothing in society is holy any more. Everything is treated as common and so we have no reason to stay anywhere.

The Lord is saying to us HIs people, “Take off your shoes, where you are standing is holy ground.” What ground is holy? Holy means something that is set apart. This can be a relationship, a place, a person, a room in your house, it depends in some cases and in other cases it is biblical.

Marriage is holy ground (Hebrews 13:4). Take off your shoes, no running away from your covenant partner. Covenant friendships are holy ground, stop running away out of offense for the Bible says, wounds from a friend can be trusted (Proverbs 27:6). Churches that preach the truth about Jesus Christ are holy ground (Matthew 16:18). The Bible is holy ground (Hebrews 4:12), take off your shoes, stopping running away from the word of God.

We know that when we take our shoes off it “grounds” us. We do it so we can be grounded physically as we should, but we also need to take off our shoes, so we are grounded in marriage, friendship, church, the Word of God. Extreme generosity is an attribute of our God many do not know how to process. His continual giving of love, grace, mercy, forgiveness, peace, and a pathway to return is astounding. The Lord is slow to anger and abounding in love, these are not just words, this is who He is. He is good in a way we cannot comprehend; He is faithful despite our continual pushing Him away; He remains the same even when we change our mind with every wayward word we listen to. He is who we are called to be.

The challenge with us as people is that we do not know how to appreciate generosity. Generosity actually breeds in us contemptment because it exposes our shame, reveals our reality that we feel worthless, and exposes our negative thoughts about ourselves, so we push away abundance. We can’t handle generosity either financially, emotionally or in proximity, because we are suspicious of an alterior motive behind the giving.

The reason we as people do not become more like Jesus is because we don’t know how to be loved, so we don’t know how to receive love and therefore, actually can’t give love. Therefore, we are Isaiah 29:13 which Jesus quoted in Matthew 15:8, “The Lord said: These people draw near to Me with their mouths and honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me. Their worship of Me is but rules taught by men.”

We default to rules taught by men, we sound spiritual, act religious and our hearts may be missed by people but are clearly seen by God. The Lord is after our hearts, people may not be able to discern our hearts, but God sees them so clearly. People see numbers, buildings, manifestations of money, but God, and people who are lovers like God see our hearts.

Friends, it’s way past time we stop the charades of Christianity, looking the part but honestly our heart is far from God and other people. It is high time we repent of honoring with our lips but having hearts far from God and others. The Lord always looks at our hearts.
