Perception Deception is what the Lord is dealing with in this hour. We don’t even realize we have it, because deception is so deceiving and we believe we are seeing clearly, but the Lord calls it perception deception and it is distorting our ability to see. The Lord is healing our sight, for He wants us to see clearly what He is doing in this hour.
I had never put those two words together before like that, but God did while I was in prayer this morning. He showed me how perception deception is hindering us as believers more than we realize. If we can’t see clearly, we won’t act appropriately or speak authentically.
Matthew 6:22-23 says, “The eye is the lamp of the body; so then if your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!”
When we see things through our pain, shame, guilt, unbelief, insecurity, disappointments, envy, greed, anger, or any other challenge we are facing, we will have perception deception because none of those filters will give us a clear view of people, places or situation we are seeing. This is why God is dealing with our perception deception.
We all have it, this is not a word for someone else, this is a word for me, for you, for us. The Lord is is wanting us to admit we have perception deception in operation and we have viewed things wrongly. We believe we are seeing it correctly, but God says we are seeing it wrong and He is always right, so we are being invited to repent.
This is not to shame us but to heal us; not to condemn us, but to correct us up. The desire of the Lord is always for us to see things clearly, so we can be the solution to what we are seeing, but we must see it clearly or we will only add to the problem. The call is to repent of perception deception so we can see clearly all the great things God is doing in people, places and situations. Www.apostolicresourcecenter.org
