Preferential Proximity

“PREFERENTIAL PROXIMITY”

The Lord said to me, “I love everyone the same, I have no favorites, but they don’t all love Me the same way. I give them PREFERENTIAL PROXIMITY. They get to choose how close or distant they want to be from Me.”

We can see varying degrees of relationship between people and God. These varying degrees are by their choice. Hebrews 10:20 says, “Jesus has opened a new way for us to come near to God. That way gives us life with God. It leads us through the curtain into God’s Most Holy Place. Jesus opened that curtain for us when he offered his own body to God as a sacrifice.” Access has been granted to everyone, no exceptions.

We choose our measure of occupation of the unlimited access we have been granted. The Lord has given us PREFERENTIAL PROXIMITY, we get to choose our measure of relationship with the Lord. No one hinders us from accessing Him and no one accelerates our access to Him. We are responsible for our relationship with the Lord.

John 15:9-10 says, “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love.” The choice to remain is yours, it is mine, it was Jesus’. Jesus was not granted any more proximity to God than we are, He just prioritized proximity with His Father over anything else.

People limit our proximity to them, but God does not. We have unlimited access, but we also have PREFERENTIAL PROXIMITY. If you see someone with a closer relationship to the Lord than you have, don’t be jealous of them, join them and seek His face, pursue His presence, prioritize His word. David said it best in Psalm 27:8 “My heart says of you, “Seek his face!” Your face, Lord, I will seek.” Www.apostolicresourcecenter.org

Change The Way You Think

When you are used to abuse it takes some time to shift into safety. When you are not used to being loved, it is easier to be suspicious than receptive. When you are more accustomed to labor, it is a challenge to rest.

Repentance is changing the way we think. We are so used to being told to repent of some behavior, we forgot Jesus said, Repent, change the way you think, for the kingdom of God is here. He did not say it was coming, He said it was here. They couldn’t see it, hear it or experience it, because they, like us, refused to change the way they think.

People have missed out on blessings because they viewed them through an unrepentant thought pattern. People push others away out of their own broken way of processing. People keep their distance with God because they view Him through a faulty perception. We must repent.

Isaiah 14:4-8 is our reality, but if you can’t see it, hear it, experience it, you must repent, for you are in an old mindset, not a current reality. “The pressure is gone; the raging is done! The Eternal has broken the hold of the wicked, snapped the staff and the scepter of tyrannical rulers. They would stop at nothing to beat, batter, and bruise the nations, constantly raging as they hunted down and tyrannized the peoples. The whole earth, mountains to sea, breathes a sigh of relief; the peace and quiet erupts into a lively, joyful song. The cypresses and cedars of Lebanon rejoice at his demise, singing: You can’t hurt us anymore. Now that you’ve been cut down, No one comes to cut us down!” (The Voice)

I hear you saying, this can’t be true, it is not my reality. It is true, you just can’t see it or hear it, because you are living in an old mindset. Jesus is saying today, like He said then, “Repent, the kingdom of God is here!” Spend more time with Jesus who is the Word and you will find repentance comes quickly, because His word transforms us. Seismic Shift Of Narrative

A seismic shift is happening in the body of Christ, the tremors of it have been heard, but when the earthquake happens, the narrative will appear and the nations will have to conform to the Word of the Lord.

The announcement from heaven, “This is my Son in whom I am well pleased”, was a seismic shift to a Jewish audience; When the apostle Paul released the mystery of Christ in you the hope of glory, seismic shift; In the 1500’s, Martin Luther brought a seismic shift to the narrative of the nations about being saved by grace; we know of seismic shifts, and another one is bubbling up.

With every seismic shift of narrative, comes persecution from religious people and leaders. They killed Jesus for His narrative; they persecuted Paul for his message; they ridiculed Martin Luther for his revelation; and they will do the same to those who carry with confidence the kingdom clarion call that is erupting.

Notwithstanding the message will go forth. It will change the way we think and it will heal places in us we don’t even recognize. One piece of this narrative will come as Nehemiah 8:10 “The joy of the Lord is our strength” or as said in the Voice Translation, “Go back to your homes, and prepare a feast. Bring out the best food and drink you have, and welcome all to your table, especially those who have nothing. This day is special. It is sacred to our Lord. Do not grieve over your past mistakes. Let the Eternal’s own joy be your protection!”

The days of broken are giving way to wholeness; the sinner identity is giving way to sonship; the say a prayer and you are saved idea is giving way to walking with God day by day; the kingdom of God is at hand and the narrative of the kingdom is brewing and is about to break forth. It is going to be authentic good news that will bring joy to strengthen us. Www.apostolicresroucecenter.org

God’s Core Value

At the very core of who God is resonates through everything He does and says. If we do not have the core of God’s nature correct, everything we hear God say and see God do will be distorted.

What do you think the core of God’s nature is? We may speak of the fruit of His nature and call it His nature. We may speak to the evidence of His nature. We may even speak of our experiences with His nature. Yet, at the very center of who God is we must understand, or we will distort, confuse and communicate things that are not true about God, all because we got the core wrong.

The Lord spoke to me this morning and said, “The core of my nature is relational not results.” He went on to explain, “I do everything from my relational nature, but the world’s system does everything from the core of results not relationship.” As I continued to listen, the Lord continued and said, “The tree of the knowledge of good and evil is a results tree and the tree of life is a relational tree. The tree you eat from is the tree you believe is the core of Me.”

Pondering what I heard this morning, opened up my understanding and revealed the subtle deception we have believed that God is mostly concerned with our results. The truth is, God wants a relationship with us, but we are so accustomed to results, we don’t know how to do relationship with God or each other.

If we step back for a minute and think about this truth about God’s core, I think we will find it more true than we ever realized, I know I did. When your core is relational you want to reconcile not remain divided; you want to connect not separate; you want to forgive not harbor bitterness; you want to put others first not jockey for position; you want to linger not rush; you want Him not a title, platform, or following.

There is so much more to this truth, but for now, may we stop and consider the question, am I results or relationship at my core? The truth will set you free. Www.apostolicresourcecenter.org

Pickleball Lessons

When Jesus walked the earth, He used everyday situations to bring forth kingdom realities. He walked with those young men and the crowds that followed Him, sharing parables about the kingdom. He spoke of sheep and shepherds, images on coins and seeds found in soils. They knew what He meant by what He said, for they lived in the culture in which He was speaking.

The realities of the kingdom do not change, but the way we describe the kingdom may come in a variety of cultural explanations that people who understand the culture can understand.

Pickleball has become a fast rising sport in this nation. People of all ages, shapes and sizes play the sport. From little kids to older adults, both men and women, all are playing pickleball. I too have found my way into this sport and love it immensely.

While playing yesterday morning, a woman on our Friday morning team said to me, “Your patience is obvious and you play as though it is effortless.” I said, thank you, but walked away realizing, the reason this is true is because I quit striving to be better and I quit criticizing myself for every mistake.

You see, I watched some women who were better than me play and I noticed they do not get upset when a play does not work as they intended. They brush it off and engage in the next play. The adoption of this simple tweek, changed my game so much that my friend noticed it.

Friends, when we are critical of ourselves and when we strive, it is rooted in anxiety and fear, both of which rob us of being the best version of ourselves. When we learn from the last play and tweek it for the next one, we will find ourselves enjoying life, loving people and walking the pace of grace in every area of life. Relax, it will make you play better and others will notice the difference in you. Www.apostolicresourcecenter.org

A Year Of Discipline

On November 11, 2025 I was reading Jeremiah 23, for a conference I will be speaking at next year, for the theme verse is coming from this chapter. While reading this chapter, the Holy Spirit spoke to me in a nudging fashion and said, “This is the year my leaders will be punished for how they have treated my people.”

This word came from Jeremiah 23:1-2 “Woe to the shepherds who slaughter and scatter the sheep of My pasture! This is what I, the Eternal God of Israel, have to say about the shepherds tending My people: You have scattered My flock, driven them far away, and failed miserably at being their caregivers. So look! I will punish you for your negligence, for the careless evil you’ve done.”

Punish means to attend to and the new covenant word is discipline. I do not like to release words like this, for one it feels like a corporate word to the leaders of the church and of ministries and two because I want to wait for an echo as I know I hear in part. Then today, I was watching Emma Stark’s War Room Episode 52 and I heard in my spirit, “Here is your echo. Release the word.”

Jeremiah 23:9-11 goes on to say, “For even the prophets and priests are ungodly; I have witnessed them perform wicked acts in My temple. Now this path they are on will become treacherous, and they will slip and slide; they will stumble and fall into the darkness, driven into the gloom. For in the year of their punishment, I will bring them to ruin.”

To the leaders in churches and ministries who have not been faithful to the call, the Lord is entering into a year of disciplining you. He loves you so He has to discipline you. The end of this discipline will be a church that is healthy, loving and authentic.

There are so many hungry people, who genuinely love God and want to know God, but there are leaders in the church, in ministries and online who are harming His people and the Lord must deal with it. Hebrews 12:5-6 “My child, do not ignore the instruction that comes from the Lord, or lose heart when He steps in to correct you; For the Lord disciplines those He loves, and He corrects each one He takes as His own.”

This is not about casting stones. The church is to be a safe place for God to reside and people to abide. My heart breaks for the hurting, and my prayer is for the leaders to see that with authority comes responsibility. Www.apostolicresourcecenter.org

Grace and Gratitude

Life is full of beginnings and endings, endings and beginnings. Even on the physical calendar we are in a time of ending of one year and the anticipation of the beginning of another year. As we stand in the inbetween time of one thing ending and a new thing beginning, I am seeing something I have not seen before.

I see the door we are coming out of (exiting door) with the word GRACE stamped on it and I am seeing the door we are entering into with the word GRATITUDE stamped on it. As I am looking at this the Lord says, “There is grace to exit well and there is gratitude to enter well.” Standing in between these two doors and seeing this so clearly is a presence packed experience. Tears are falling because of how good God is.

We do not need to leave something by brushing the dust off our feet, we can leave it with GRACE stamped on it. We can bless on the way out, because God gave us the grace to stay in while we were there. Then as we enter the new thing God is opening for us, we enter this gate with thanksgiving in our heart (Psalm 100). The open door has GRATITUDE on it. We are standing between GRACE and GRATITUDE.

The transition we are in is micro and macro; it is personal and it is corporate; it is happening on the home level and the national level. Embrace the grace to exit and lay hold of the gratitude to enter.

The verse the Holy Spirit showed me for this time we are living in is Zechariah 4:6-7 “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, Says the LORD of hosts. Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone With shouts of “Grace, grace to it!”

Friends He is the Chief Cornerstone and He is the Capstone; He is the Author and the Finisher; He is the Alpha and the Omega; He is the Beginner and the Ender; He is Grace and Gratitude! Pause in between the two doors, we are living in a very unique time in history, both personally and corporately. I hear the shouts of GRACE, GRACE! Www.apostolicresourcecenter.org

The Pattern

The Lord has been nudging me to study the word pattern. My first thought was when my mom would get a pattern from the fabric store and lay it out on a piece of cloth in order to make a garment. This was the extent of my understanding of the word pattern. Henceforth, the need to do some study of the word.

What I have learned is rich and I am in awe of our God. On Mount Sinai, God spoke to Moses and said, “Direct them to build a holy sanctuary in My honor so that I can dwell among them. Instruct the people to follow the pattern I am about to show you for the congregation tent and its furnishings.” (Exodus 25:8-9)

The word pattern in Greek is typos and in Hebrew it is tabnit which means model, form, likeness, or structure revealed through vision. Moses was not given a blueprint, he was given a pattern to follow. Hebrews 8:5 says, “God admonished Moses as he set up the tent for the Lord’s sanctuary: “Be sure that you make everything according to the pattern I showed you on the mountain.” Hebrews also says, this tabernacle Moses would build was only a type and shadow of the reality in heaven.

Moses saw the pattern, but it was both a present and prophetic reality. Meaning Moses began it, but in Christ it would be fulfilled. Watch this, Moses built a tabernacle, a mobile sanctuary for Israel in the wilderness. Then Solomon, who also was given the pattern by David (1 Chr. 28:12), built a temple. But this was not the prophetic fulfillment, the temple was only part of the pattern process.

Jesus became the prototype of the pattern’s fulfillment, the final fulfillment was in Acts 2, when the early church was filled with the Holy Spirit. The pattern in Exodus 25:8-9 was fulfilled in Acts 2. It went from a tabernacle, to a temple to a body of people, who are the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 6).

No wonder Haggai 2:9 says “You will stand by and watch as the magnificence of this new house will eclipse the magnificence of My first house. And in this new house, I will give you peace.” We are the pattern people who are filled with the glory of God, we are the fulfillment of the pattern given to Moses on Mount Sinai. God is in the business of building people as we are to be. This is the pattern we are called to follow. Www.apostolicresourcecenter.org

Reformers : Dead and Alive

While walking the dog this morning in the every so chilly 20 degree weather here in Nashville, TN, the Lord and I were discussing reformation. We talked about men like King David who reformed Israel and made it into one nation; we discussed Nehemiah who rebuilt the walls around Jersulem; we spoke about Gideon who tore down his fathers altars to Baal; we discussed Josiah, the youngest mentioned King in scripture, who at the age of 8 became king. He brought about great reforms in Israel. We also spoke of Hezekiah, who restored temple worship.

Reformers are men and women who make cultural changes that last decades and create legacy. We love reformers after they have reformed, but we persecute, ridcule and critize reformers while they are in the process of working with God to bring about much needed reformation. Revival is fun, reformation is work.

Men like Martin Luther was not liked by the system he was called to reform; Martin Luther King Jr. was not a television celebrity as he walked the streets of Selma, AL; John F Kennedy was not liked by those whose world he was disrupting, so they killed him; Harriet Tubman was a reformer and she was ridiculed for it; Florence Nightengale was not famous as she was working stealithly in Africa.

While reformation is happening people are not hailed as reformers, for in many ways they sound and act like disrupters and the “system” does not like to be disturbed. Johnny Enlow speaks reformation language; Donald Trump is bringing about reformation for a nation; Charlie Kirk was a reformer on college campuses. The system does not like reformers, for they rock the boat, challenge the status quo and question reality.

On this Veterans Day, I want to salute all those who gave their life to defend this nation, for America is a land of reformers. Our nation is a reformer of nations. Our Republic is not perfect, but it is a statement of reformation. We are still reforming and being reformed and people don’t like it now, but we need reformation in this nation and the nations. Thank you to all who died and all who have lived in order to bring about reformation, we salute you.

Psalm 126 Time

On November 2, 2025 I made a phone call to wish a friend happy birthday. As I was leaving a message for her, the words this will be a Psalm 126 year came out of my mouth. When I got off the phone, I paused, for those words about Psalm 126 were not planned by me, but were prophesied over her by the Lord through me. (Prophetic people are mouthpieces and often we are hearing for the first time, along with you, what God is saying 🙂).

Since that day, in my journal, I have been writing about 5786 and 2026 being a Psalm 126 year. I have been privately studying this Psalm and writing some thoughts about it. But today, Lana Vawser came out with a public prophetic word and she said 2026 is a Psalm 126 year. The echo establishes, so I was smiling as I read her word.

Psalm 126:1 says, “When the LORD restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dreamed.”

When you have lived with sorrow, anger, disappointment and distress for long periods of time, feeling like delay is the new normal and distractions are the only relief, when restoration arrives, it can feel like a dream, it may not feel real immediately.

The psalmist is speaking of when Israel was released from Babylonian captivity, after spending 70 years there. Jeremiah told them, God knew the plans He had for them, plans to prosper them, to give them a future and a hope, but all they knew was exile/captivity. No wonder their restoration felt like a dream.

We are living in the same days as Israel did. We have been in exile for years as a nation and as nations, but the exile is over and the restoration of nations has begun. Many struggle to see it, others feel like they are dreaming, this is evidence of the end of exile and the beginning of restoration.

It is Psalm 126 time as we are in the Hebrew year 5786 and are about to enter the Gregorian year 2026. It begins with feeling like this is a dream, but the truth is our new reality of restoration has begun, exile is over! Www.apostolicresourcecenter.org
