Wisdom Comes From Considering

What do you see? Do you see things getting better or getting worst? Do you see the brightness of the kingdom rising or the increase of the darkness looming? What do you see? What are you hearing? What are you reading? This argument is pervasive in the body of Christ, is it getting darker or is it getting lighter? Two completely different directions.

I was reading Psalm 107 this morning and this is what it says, “He changes rivers into a wilderness And springs of water into a thirsty ground; A fruitful land into a salt waste, Because of the wickedness of those who dwell in it.” Things get darker because of wickedness, and honestly it is not hard to see wickedness when you watch the news.

But Psalm 107 also says, “He changes a wilderness into a pool of water And a dry land into springs of water; And there He makes the hungry to dwell, So that they may establish an inhabited city, And sow fields and plant vineyards, And gather a fruitful harvest. Also He blesses them and they multiply greatly, And He does not let their cattle decrease.”

Which is happening right now, are the wicked winning in the land or are our cattle increasing, our harvests blooming and our cities being inhabited? Which do you see? One sees wickedness and says its getting darker, another sees fields, vineyards and fruitful harvest and says its getting lighter.

Psalm 107 ends by saying, “The upright see it and are glad; But all unrighteousness shuts its mouth. Who is wise? Let him give heed to these things, And consider the lovingkindnesses of the LORD.”

Our call is to give heed to all these things and to consider the lovingkindness of the Lord. We can see both happening, but instead of arguing if it is getting darker or not, we are called to consider the lovingkindness of God, this is what makes us wise. I know what I see and I know what I consider, what do you see and what are you considering? Www.apostolicresourcecenter.org
