Leviathan is the king of the sons of pride (Job 41:34), we read this scripture this week in our women’s book study called The Deborah Mantle by Christy Johnston. Pride is many things, some are declaring pride as a badge of honor, while others see pride as something to be avoided. Pride, just like so many words in the English language have many ways you can take it. But at the root of it, is a Leviathan spirit, a twisting, perverting, wind spirit. Pride in its simplist definition is thinking you know it all, it is about not being teachable, it is the idea you believe what you think and you are not open to what others or the Bible has to say. Leviathan is the king of the sons of pride. That alone should cause you to pause. I don’t want to be the son of Leviathan, the twisting, perverted serpent, but some do and they wear that badge thinking it is an honor when actually it is a disgrace.
These thoughts started while reading the chapter in the Debrorah Mantle called Under the Palm Tree, but they were established while reading Proverbs 7 this morning. This chapter speaks of two women, one is Lady Wisdom and one is the Enchantress. This Enchantress caught my attention because Jonathan Cahn in his book, The Return of the Gods, speaks of this very woman and her tie to sexual perversion. Here is what Proverbs 7 says, “Say to Lady Wisdom, “My sister”; recognize that understanding is your best friend, And they will keep you from the arms of another woman— protect you from the enchantress who entices men into her bed.” The Enchantress by definition is tied to sorcery, witchcraft. As I saw her in the scriptures today, and read about Leviathan in that book yesterday, the Lord showed me the spell that has been cast over those who are in the clutches of these spirits.
Church, we have been given authority to deal with powers, principalities, rulers (Ephesians 6); it is not time to talk about what these who are under her spell or Leviathans rulership are doing, it is long past time, we use our authority to break the spell that has been cast that is leading these people to a destructive end. Proverbs 7 continues and says, “For she’s claimed one life after another, victim after victim, too many to count. Her house is the gateway to the grave; every step toward her is a step toward death’s dark chamber.” It is time to break the spell of the Enchantress who has tried to get a foothold in our nations, for she is not satisfied with men alone, now she has gone after our children, enough is enough. We have been given authority, it’s time we exercise that authority in the spirit and break the spell off our nations!
