Proverbs 25:1 says, “God’s glory is shown when He conceals things; a king’s glory is shown in his ability to explore the facts of the matter.” There are so many things hidden in plain sight, but we miss most of them because we are not operating like kings. Revelation 1:6 says, “To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” My friends, we are kings and we are called to search out matters before we parrot things we know little to nothing about.
When we speak about things we know little to nothing about we look foolish and wise people that know what you don’t know listen quietly, but know the truth. I was watching a news report this morning about Trump receiving the Silver Crown of Jerusalem and their theology filtered their understanding of what this event is about. They went as far as to declare Trump “The king of the Jews” who would build the third temple. I was shocked by their statements, so I started searching out what is the Silver Crown of Jerusalem? What I learned made me smile, it is not about being crowned a king of a nation or of a people, it is about the word of God.
The Silver Crown of Jerusalem is the printed edition of the Tanak, the Hebrew Bible. Crown in Hebrew is keter and it the 874 pages of the Hebrew Bible. It is also known as the official Bible of the Israeli Parliment and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Since its publication it has been used to administer the oath to the new presidents of the state of Israel. It used to be housed in Aleppo, so was called the Crown of Aleppo, but the city was fire bombed in 1947, so much of the manuscript was burned. But it does not change the truth that keter – crown – means codex, manuscript, bible. Trump was given the Siilver Crown of Jerusalem meaning the Hebrew Bible of Jerusalem, the Torah, the Tanak, the Codex, the Manuscript. We are living in Biblical days my friends on levels most of us do not even understand yet.
