Context Matters

Have you ever realized we quote scriptures differently than they are actually said? Have you ever realized that we have gotten so comfortable with certain verses we think we know what they mean? And then you’re reading your Bible in context and you’re like that’s not what it says at all. I was reading John 10 this morning and I came across a verse that most Christians know, “The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy…”

Most people when they quote that verse think the thief is the devil, but if you read it in context the thief is not the devil it’s a false teacher. Jesus even says that ALL that came before him were thieves and robbers. Who is the ALL He was talking about? In the context of the Scriptures of John 10 where He is making a distinct contrast between himself and false teachers, the ALL would be the false teachers or in context the scribes and Pharisees that didn’t believe that Jesus Christ was the Messiah.

Why is this important to us? Because if we’re looking for the devil to be the one who steals kills and destroys we are not going to be discerning the false teachers that are actually stealing killing and destroying the body of Christ. Knowing the truth is critical to our freedom. It is important that we open wide our eyes to what we are being taught in our schools systems, in our churches, and on social media. Matthew 7 tells us not everyone who says to me Lord Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven. Be wise my friends read your Bible for yourself, and learn what it says in context for where the spirit of the Lord is there is freedom!

The Gospel Is Beautiful

Reading the Gospels opens wide the eyes to realize how drastically different their culture is from ours. They were a culture of shame and honor. If you don’t understand their culture you won’t understand why they did what they did. When you do understand their culture it helps you to see in full color why Jesus said what he said and did what he did. In John chapter 8 Jesus is teaching in the temple in the early morning hours and people were coming to him to hear him. In the midst of his teaching in the temple court, a very public place, the religious leaders of the day brought a woman caught in adultery, set her in the center of the court, and told Jesus the crime she had committed. They added their exclamation point by saying, “ now in the law Moses commanded us to stone such women; What then do you say?” (John 8:5). They didn’t care about the woman they wanted to find out what Jesus believed about the law of Moses. They had no problem shaming that woman what they had a problem with is that all the people hung on Jesus’s teachings and this took the people away from them and drew them to Jesus himself.

What would you have said? What would you have done? You’ve got the religious leaders on their turf in the temple, quoting the law of Moses, with all eyes on you and a woman caught in the very act of adultery laying in the center of the court for all to see. When we put our self in the story, with all its cultural nuances and traumatic language, it brings out the beauty, the majesty, the wisdom, and the glory of God to such a measure that it causes us the reader to stand in awe of this man Jesus that we call king of kings and Lord of lords.

Listen to what Jesus said, “He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.” Selah! (John 8:7).

Move

The more we get out of the way, the more the Lord can have His say and release His way. The Lord always brings order where there’s chaos; light where there’s darkness; hope where there’s despair; and grace where there’s performance. He always lifts the burden, lightens the load, cuts through the dirt and brings forth gold. Oh that we would die to the “me”, so all could see the Christ in me!

When Me Moves…He Moves

The more we get out of the way, the more the Lord can have His say and release His way. The Lord always brings order where there’s chaos; light where there’s darkness; hope where there’s despair; and grace where there’s performance. He always lifts the burden, lightens the load, cuts through the dirt and brings forth gold. Oh that we would die to the “me”, so all could see the Christ in me!

Praying For You

Good morning friends,

I pray the Lord would start what he has put in your heart. I asked the Lord to be gracious to you and bless you and causes face to shine upon you that his way may be known on the earth and his salvation among all nations. God our God blesses you God blesses you that all the ends of the earth may fear him. (Psalm 67)

I prayed for you this morning, it’s time to turn the key and start the engine on the God dreams that are in your life. For the Lord is about to bless you and his face is going to shine upon you so that you can arise and shine and give him the glory. He’s shining on you is going to cause the earth to see the ways of God and the salvation of God among the nations. It’s time my friends it’s time that the earth sees our God in action through your life.

In Jesus name I pray, amen.

Time Change

Around the world there are time changes, due to different time zones. In the USA we have what’s called daylight savings time, it’s another changing of the time. God Himself has a time change and we have come upon God’s time change. Jesus said it this way in John 4:35-36 “Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest. Already he who reaps is receiving wages and is gathering fruit for life eternal; so that he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.”

The time has changed in the kingdom of God. The gap between what we sow and what we reap is closing. It is time to raise your expectations, lift up your eyes and look, for the sower and the reaper are rejoicing together. The lag time of 4 months between sowing and reaping is the law of nature, but in the kingdom there is no lag time. To stop the lag time, repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Jesus never experienced a lag, ever. He said it and it happened, no lag.

Lift up your eyes, raise your expectations, it’s now time in the kingdom of a God. We are going to say, come and see the works of the Lord, come and hear about the greatness of our God, Come, come, come for the fields are white unto harvest and the gathering of fruit is upon us. God has changed the time!

Abundance of Freedom

Freedom is synonymous with abundance. People were made to be free, but they can’t give what they don’t have. This is why free people, free people (quote taken from Autumn). Jesus said where the spirit of the Lord is there is freedom. The spirit of God dwells in believers, so freedom and abundance are our portion.

America is a nation of free people that free people. The US Military helps us maintain our freedom, those of the Revolutionary war era helped us gain our freedom and we as believers must continue to proclaim, prophesy and preach freedom. For who the Son sets free is free indeed.

Freedom is not just for this country or that country, this race or that race, this gender or that gender, freedom is for everyone. Jesus shed His blood on a cross so we could be free from sin, free from lack and control. He died to set us free and rose again from the grave as evidence of freedom personified.

On this freedom day in the USA may we all rededicate our nation, our state, our city, our community, our family, ourselves to the Lord of lords and King of kings who set us free. For freedom is a gift that God Himself gives to people in abundance. You my friends have access to an abundance of freedom in Jesus name.

God Is About To Make A Move

As the church we must stop being impressed or intimidated by the enemy and the darkness we see around us. As the church we must stop living as though the enemy has the upper hand. As the church we are not on the defensive, remember our God destroyed the works of the devil; conquered sin, hell and the grave. As the church we must be confident that He who began a good work in us will bring it to completion; that no weapon formed against us shall prosper; that we are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus; and that we have been given authority to trample under foot serpents and scorpions. But even more than all that we must never forget, GOD HAS ANOTHER MOVE TO MAKE!

I was praying Psalm 64 this morning and the psalmist spoke about the secret counsel of evildoers, how they are laying snares secretly, how they are devising injustices and how they have well conceived plots. Sounds like today, even though it was written in some BC date. Despite acknowledging what the psalmist saw the enemy doing, he said, BUT GOD…at this statement the whole psalm shifts. We are hearing many speak of what the enemy is doing in the nations, however, we are in a BUT GOD moment. God is about to make a move and everyone is going to see it, fear God, and declare what God did.

Get ready church, God is about to make a move! This is why we must shift our thoughts, words, and hearts from the enemy’s smoke and mirrors show to the Lord God of heaven and earth, for God is about to make a move!

Georgia Guidestones

We went on a prophetic adventure today to dismantle the Georgia Guidestones in Elberton, GA. The Lord said, “Pour salt on the soil and declare the land desolate.” Each of us took a carton of salt and declared “dismantled and never to be remantled.” As we completed what God told us to do even though there were three people there having a picnic and many others arriving only one woman noticed what we were doing and asked us about what we did. We spoke to her about releasing life wherever we find death in operation. She then asked about our shirts so Autumn shared on that with her. She had a soft heart and we poured life into her. Thank you to the intercessors who knew we were going and were praying.

The Georgia Guidestones are a marble monument written in 12 languages including Babylonian, Egyptian hieroglyphics, Sanskrit and Greek as the 4 ancient languages on the capstone giving 10 guiding principles to the age of reason. It is located on the highest point in Elberton. It is an astronomical design with a celestial hole. For you that have ears to hear the Lord said, “This is a demonic altar that must come down.” I think you can hear why. One other prophetic note for you that like puzzle pieces it is located near Athens, GA just off Athens highway which connects this altar to the Asherah pole called the Athena in the Parthenon in Nashville, which is a direct replica of the Parthenon in Athens, Greece where Paul was in Acts 17.

Just another piece of the puzzle in healing the land of the United States of America by obeying God in doing prophetic acts. The giants are falling and the army of God is being activated to occupy! Forward March church, can you hear the sound of salvation blowing across the nation?

Soul Silence

Did you know obedience to the voice and Word of God is what ushers you into rest? It’s not a do nothing, sit on the beach so your body can rest. Obedience to God rewards you with rest for your soul. Obedience is the manifestation of trust and trust in God brings your soul into rest. A soul at rest does not worry, fear, strive, perform, panic, a soul at rest is a soul that is free from noise. A soul at rest is internal silence. When we resist obedience we are resisting rest for our soul. The Sabbath is a day to rest your physical body from work, the Sabbath rest spoken of in Hebrews 4 is a soul that is silent and this only comes from consistent obedience to the voice and Word of God.

Psalm 62:1, 5-6 “My soul waits in silence for God only; From Him is my salvation. … My soul, wait in silence for God only, For my hope is from Him.

He only is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be shaken.”
