Love Gives

1 Corinthians 13 says, “If you have not love, it profits you nothing.” Have you ever wondered why you give more than you receive? Profit is a financial term, but it does not always equate to money. We can profit in many ways. When we receive honor we are profitting; when we are blessed with a relationship that adds value to our life, we are profitting; when we have a community that supports us, we are profitable. Expand the word profit from money to anything that adds value to your life.

I was reading 1 Samuel 1:4-5 this morning, “On the day when Elkanah sacrificed, he would give portions to Peninnah his wife and to all her sons and daughters. But to Hannah he gave a double portion, because he loved her, though the LORD had closed her womb.” As I read it the words “He gave a double portion, because he loved her…” jumped off the page at me. When we love someone or something, our natural response is to give to them. We were created to respond when we love. You don’t have to tell a lover to be a giver, it is a natural response to those who love.

John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world…He gave….” God’s natural response to loving the world was to give His best gift, His son, to the world. He gave Jesus because He loved the world and that love profited God, for you and I are the value added people God has received from His giving out of love.

Pay attention to what you love, for what you love you will give to. When you give because you love, no one will have to ask you to give, tell you to give, convince you to give, for when you love, giving comes naturally. If we would stop giving out of obligation to places or people we feel like we are supposed to give to or have to give to and started giving to people and places we love, we would find ourselves profitting and all lack will leave us. Love gives and it gives double because giving is the natural response of love.

We Need You

1 John 4 tells us to test the spirits. We test the spirits by knowing what spirit is upon someone when they are speaking to us. Most people find it easier to test the spirits upon someone else, but what if our first call was to test the spirit upon us? Have you ever asked yourself what spirit am I of? This can be a challenging question, because if we were honest with ourselves we might not want to hear the truth from ourselves about ourselves.

Jesus said in Luke 4:18-19 ““The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” Jesus knew what spirit He was of, what spirit was upon Him and He declared in right here with absolute confidence. Then Luke reitterated this truth in Acts 10:38 when he said “God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.”

Now with this is what it looks and sounds like when the spirit of the Lord is upon you, so what spirit are you of? Are you preaching good news or doom and gloom? Are you manifesting freedom or bondage? Are you seeing this as a year of God’s favor or the devil’s playground? The spirit of religion preaches bad news, the spirit of the Lord preaches good news; the spirit of the world preaches Burger King news (have it your way), the spirit of the kingdom of God preaches die to yourself and live for others. What spirit are you of?

The church is funny, why are we good new averse? We hear good news but don’t believe it, for our reality is not always manifesting good news. We need the spirit of the Lord upon us, in us and coming through us and we must stop resisting the good news. For the world and religion are not preaching good news, but we are if we are of the spirit of God, not the spirit of the world or the spirit of religion. What spirit are you of? If you don’t Iike your answer, switch over to the spirit of the Lord, for it is a preacher of good news. There is a huge harvest ready but we need people who are preachers of good news to bring it in.

Removed and Remain

From Genesis to Revelation the Bible is very clear that the earth is the Lords and the fullness there of. The Lord has been and continues to purge evil from the earth not the righteous. From the days of Noah when the wicked were swept away in the flood of Genesis 7 and the righteous man Noah was left behind with his family in Genesis 8, to Solomon who says over and over again in the Proverbs that the wicked will be removed and the people will rejoice to Jesus in Matthew 24 saying, it will be in the days of the son of man just like it was in the days of Noah. Yes even Jesus knew the wicked were being removed and the righteous were remaining. It is well documented scripturally, so why do we believe we are being raptured out of here?

The reason is because there is a deep state in the church that has lied to us in order to control us and they have been very successful. They have amplified their voices in order to create a narrative that held the people of God in bondage to a narrative that never invited us to be overcomers, more than conquerors, free to follow Jesus. Their narrative was control, coercion and compromise so we never really became victorious. For they know better than we do that the victory of the righteous is the defeat of the wicked.

But God….

God has said and people have caught on and began declaring it for years now that Babylon is falling. Babylon is a system of control, which has an underbelly of nefarious activity in every mountain of society including the church. Well, God has decicided it is time for another flood to clean out the earth realm. This is not a flood of water, it is a flood of exposure that will lead to justice. Many are literally fleeing the country, others are singing like a bird, and still others are obstinate like Pharoah was and will be drowned in the Red Sea.

Friends we are watching Babylon fall in our generation. Everything we have known up to this point in so many areas are being purified in ways we did not even know they were wicked. Many things we will not be privy to informationally, but that is for our safety cognitively. We do not need national or international PTSD. But what a day to be alive, to see the fall of Babylon. Our kids will live in a world we never did and they will be free for righteousness is exalting the nations and Jesus is revealing He has been given the nations as His inheritance. Next we will learn how to occupy until He comes!!!!

New Month

The Biblical calendar carries with it instructions for each month, with names that prophecy, events that remind us of God’s faithfulness and numbers that we can study to learn what God is saying about this new month biblically. Zechariah 7:1 says, “In the fourth year of King Darius, the word of the LORD came to Zechariah on the fourth day of the ninth month, which is Chislev.” Today is a new moon, which means it is a new biblical month and it is the ninth month of the biblical calendar, the month of Kislev. Why is this important?

The Lord is showing me that we do not speak what we want to see in now time. The Jews are the most prosperous people on the planet and they are the covenant people of God. This is important to remember. However, according to John 15, we who believe in Yeshua are grafted into Israel and we too are now covenant people of God so can experience the covenant promises if we live a covenant life.

Part of this covenant life is knowing the biblical calendar which includes weekly Sabbaths, monthly new moons and three yearly feasts. This is called the cycle of blessing. Well today is the new moon or a new month, the month of Kislev and this is a month of multiplication and manifestion. We know it takes 9 months to give birth, this is the month where what has been planted in us manifests through us. There are 9 fruits of the spirit and Galatians is the 9th book of the New Testament. Fruit is a manifestation of the spirit of God in us.

On this first day of a new month, I blew my shofar 9 times and prophesied to this month of multiplication and manifestation. I have spent too many years speaking words of death, I am breaking cycles this month and prophesying seeds of life that will manifest and multiply in my life and I wanted to invite you to join me. It has been tried and true for the Jews, and I am done trying to reinvent the wheel, when my biblical heritage makes it clear what I am called to do and who I am called to be. I hope you join me for this month we prophesy, multiply and manifest!!!!

Watch The Water

The phrase “Watch the Water” has taken on new significance for me this past four days in Florida. Growing up in MN where we had lakes made me appreciate water, but being in Florida as an adult has taught me to “Watch the Water”. Little did I know the water had so many things to say.

This morning, I awoke very early, the sun had not yet begun to rise, but once it did the sights that it revealed spoke things to me I had not thought of before. There is no wind this morning, not one wave even landing on the seashore, the calm is palatable on the gulf this morning. The sun rising behind me has cast a beautiful color scheme in front of me. The water is what has my attention this morning.

I look out and it is so calm I can see a pod of dolphins pursuing their morning feast, dipping above the water line so I can see their fin sticking out. Then the pelicans are nose diving in head first for their breakfast. As I watch these beautiful animals in their natural habitat the Holy Spirt begins to speak to me.

Seeing dolphins live by design in this large body of water makes me realize our stress as people, comes from being in unfamiliar places, we were never designed for. Some may call it greedy, but we were made for more. We are designed for freedom; we were created for abundance; we have bodies that long to rest not rush; and all the arificial supply is not satisfying us because we are not living by design.

Like dolphins doing tricks in a pool at the zoo, we are doing what we have been trained to do not what we are designed to do. We wonder why we can’t enjoy life; why we don’t know how to love God and love people; it is because we are performing in a pool at the zoo rather than operating by design in wide open spaces that are holy places. Watch the water, it has many lessons for us to learn. I may be coming home, but not to a pool, for my heart is staying in abundance of truth the gulf has taught me.

Watch Wind Meet Water

Today on the Gulf of Mexico in the Panhandle of Florida, the sea is calm, the wind is not blowing hardly at all and the words the Lord spoke to me yesterday are still vibrating in my spirit, “When Wind Meets Water.” The lack of wind is why the water is so calm today. The clouds are grey, the weather is crisp, the waves are gently landing on the sand, the boundary line marked out by God for them. And all I keep hearing is “When Wind Meets Water.”

Wind is the breath of God, the voice of God, the words of people. Yes our words are winds, just like God’s words are winds. People can speak things and it is like a wind that blows across the water of our life and storms begin to arise. We have personal storms that rise, we have national storms that rise we have international storms that rise, all because of the words of people. “When Wind Meets Water” storms can arise, for our words are powerful.

Mark 4 shares a story of “When Wind Meets Water” and many believe it was a storm of epic proportions that arose on the sea that day, a storm that literally scared seasoned oarsmen/fishermen who grew up on this sea. “A great windstorm arose, and the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was already filling. But he was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. And they woke him and said to him, “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?” And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. He said to them, “Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?” And they were filled with great fear and said to one another, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”

The words of men can create storms in our lives, in our cities, in our states, in our nations, but there are words God speaks to the winds of men and it calms the storms they sought to create. We are created in the image of God, we have been given authority and that authority is in our mouth. When word winds create storms in your head, your heart, your actions, your body, your finances, your soul, your city, your state, your nation, open your mouth and speak to the storm. The storm is only words that are contrary to God’s intended purpose. Speak to the words that are speaking to you and remind them of who your God is and watch the Wind Meet Water and calm the storms.

When Wind Meets Water

Sitting on the 11th floor balcony of our family condo overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, listening to the waves come crashing in, opens up different revelations in the Word of God that are not seen or heard when in my bedroom overlooking the yard out my side window. When the water and sky meet out in the distance it is called the horizon and it changes my perspective, for I am looking at abundance and I see how small we are in light of how big this gulf is. This is only one gulf, and yet I see the magnitude and hear the sound of the majesty of our God and my perspective changes.

The waves are crashing in this morning and the question rise in my spirit, what creates waves? NOAA says, “Waves are primarily created by wind blowing across the surface of the water, transferring energy and causing the water to move in circular motions. Other factors like seismic activity and gravitational forces from the moon and sun can also generate waves, such as tsunamis and tides.” Immediately my mind goes to Genesis 1:2 which says, “Darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.” Then the Holy Spirit says, “Waves happen when wind meets water!”

My spirit leaps inside of me as the Holy Spirit begins to share with me about the move of God we are in, we will see and we will hear for wind is meeting water and it is creating waves of glory that are going to delight us, wash us and envelop us in ways we need and want so badly. A wind meets water move of God is here. Spirit (wind) and water (the Word) are about to release wave after wave after wave. The sound will recalibrate us, the abundance will overwhelm us, the peace will flood us, the joy will excite us. Oh friends, welcome to the Where Wind Meets Water move of God. It is truly beyond anything we have ever seen or heard before.

Keep Your Vow To God

The story of Samson in Judges 15-16 is one that has been preached on in many services over the years. It is a great story of a barren woman who God blessed with a male child who she declared and then he maintained as a Narzarite from birth. If you look into the Nazarite vow, you will find it was a commitment to consecration, to be set apart for God’s use only. This was a voluntary vow men and women took.

This vow came with great gifts, for Samson this vow gave him supernatural strength. God was going to use this supernatural strength to defeat the enemy of Israel the Philistines. The Philistines killed Samson’s first wife because she could not get him to break his vow to God. Then he ends up with a prostitute, but he escapes that situation with the strength his vow provided him. He then falls in love again with Delilah.

The Philistines learned from their past mistake of burning to death his first wife and her family, so they bribe his second wife with money. A lot of money. This bribe works and she wears him down enough to find out that his strenght is not because of some charm he carries, but because of a vow he made to Yahweh. “He told her all his heart, and said to her, “A razor has never come upon my head, for I have been a Nazirite to God from my mother’s womb. If my head is shaved, then my strength will leave me, and I shall become weak and be like any other man.” (Judges 16:17)

Samson broke his vow to God and lost his strenght. Samuel never broke his Nazarite vow to God and died a prophet whose words never fell to the ground (1 Samuel 1:11). Friends, our promises to God releases gifts to us that enemy seeks to steal from us, not because he wants the gift, but because the gift is defeating him and rescuing us. Our vows to God are powerful, we must guard them at all cost, for the enemy is after our vow not our strength or prophetic words.

It’s Maturity Time

Ephesians 4 tells us that the five fold ministry gifts are for multiple reasons, but one is to mature the body of Christ. We have a lot of titles that call people one of the five fold ministry gifts, like apostle, prophet, pastor, teacher or evangelist, but we have very few of those titles who are maturing the body of Christ. The days of titles are over the days of function are here. Those five gifts were given to the church to mature us, to equip us, to deploy us. The evidence that these are titles not functions in the church right now is the amount of immaturity we see in the body of Christ.

Sixty “prophets” confronted one “prophet” publicly and now we have a myriad of commentators weighing in on a matter revealing our immaturity from the “prophets” down to the YouTube commentators. Church, Proverbs 26:20-21 says, “For lack of wood the fire goes out, and where there is no whisperer, quarreling ceases. As charcoal to hot embers and wood to fire, so is a quarrelsome man for kindling strife.” The more we talk about it the more the quarrel stays alive and reveals our immaturity as the body of Christ.

Then we have a video of a Bishop having a health issue publicly on Sunday during the service and the venom being spewed about this man is embarrassing and again evidence of our immaturity. I am not saying we should not know about these things, but we speak about people we have never met and have no first hand knowledge of.

Those are just public quarrels and comments. This is happening in local churches as well with leaders speaking about their people, about people speaking about other people, the quarreling, strife, and slander is revealing we have had titles but not function, for the body of Christ is very immature. But thanks be to God, He does not leave us in our mess. We have entered a season of house cleaning so He can remove the reproach off us as a body, of whom Christ is the head. God is focused on function not title and we are about to grow up as God gives us leaders that function according to Ephesians 4 and train us to not be tossed to and fro any mo. Our best days are upon us. Maturity is so much more beneficial to all of us.

The End Game

I was listening to a friend share yesterday and as I did she said, “I have never identified the end game of this endeavor I am in. I need to know what my end game is.” Then this morning in prayer, the Lord speaks to me and says, “The end game of sin is always death.” Romans 6:23 comes to my spirit “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” The next thought the Holy Spirit drops in my spirit is, “This is why I call people to repent, because the end game of sin is always death and I do not delight in the death of anyone.”

No one wants to die, but how many people are willing to repent of their sin in order to live and live life abundantly? The root of all sin is unbelief, we don’t believe what God says, therefore we do what we want to do, rather than trust God for what He knows we are supposed to do. The enemy damaged our trust as a child, for he knew better than we did, that it takes trust to obey the words of God over our own ways, thoughts, plans, ideas. The invitation to sin by the enemy is because he knows the end game of sin is death and he rejoices in things that die in us, through us and around us.

I was praying Psalm 85 this morning and it says, “Let me hear what God the LORD will speak, for he will speak peace to his people, to his saints; but let them not turn back to folly. Surely his salvation is near to those who fear him, that glory may dwell in our land.” The preceeding verses speak of restoration of fortunes, revival of people, and God turning from his anger. We love the words restore and revive, but I believe God is saying to us, He will restore, He will revive, but He wants us to remain restored, remain revived. He does not want us to return to our folly once He rescues us out of it. For the end game of sin is death, but the end game of remaining faithful to God is life and life abundantly. We need to repent and remain for righteousness is exalting the nations.
