Can you imagine life without wickedness? We have been told the only place that will be a reality is in heaven when we die, but what if God wanted it as our reality on earth? We know during the “millennial reign” this will happen, but what if the Jews believed it should happen now? Solomon says in Proverbs 10:25 “When the whirlwind passes, the wicked is no more,
But the righteous has an everlasting foundation.” He goes on to say in Proverbs 10:30 “The righteous will never be shaken, But the wicked will not dwell in the land.” This is consistent with scripture as God told them to wipe out the enemy that was squatting on their promised land.
We can believe for a “one day”, but we struggle to believe for today. I wonder if because wickedness manifests through people this is why we tolerate it. Every time Jesus encountered any form of wickedness He eradicated it. If it was sickness He eradicates it with healing; if demonic possession He eradicates it by casting it out; if it manifests in a dangerous storm He calms it; if its false doctrine He teaches the truth. Jesus never tolerated wickedness in any form and neither should we.
Acts 10:38 “You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.”
