The Flying Trumpets

One day I was driving my son to school and it was a gorgeous day here in the Midwest, so we had the windows cracked, for some fresh air. While at a stop light, I heard the sound of many geese above our head or somewhere near our car. As we looked around, there they were probably 25 of them flying above us releasing the sound that is so distinct to them. Immediately the phrase drops into my spirit “The Flying Trumpets”. I continued on through the day and now through the week and every day more than once a day I am hearing the sound of the flying trumpets (the geese) above my head. Finally, I have to look up what are the flying trumpets, is this biblical, prophetic, or just me seeking creative language for a bird I see and hear often. I sat down with my computer and Google’d The Flying Trumpets and the first reference is to the name of experts in B2B media business; nope that is not what I am sensing a new business idea. I keep scrolling down and the images of flying trumpets come up and there is the picture of a one goose and the caption from Reddit.com reads, Flying Trumpet: Proper Animal Names. I think you are kidding me, this is what geese are actually called, Flying Trumpets. I am a city girl, I would not have known that, so I smile at God, but know there is more that He is saying than this. The very next heading is What Are the 7 Trumpets in Revelation? Now I am hooked, for I knew it had to be something in the word of God, but what I was not clear.

I started reading about the 7 trumpets in Revelation 8, 9, 10, and 11 but Revelation 8 starts out by saying, “I saw the seven angels standing before God, and seven trumpets were given to them. Another angel came and stood at the altar, holding a golden censer; and much incense was given to him, so that he might add it to the prayers of the saints on the golden altar which was before the throne. And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, went up before God out of the angel’s hand. Then the angel took the censer and filled it with the fire of the altar, and threw it to the earth; and there followed peals of thunder and sounds and flashes of lightning and an earthquake. And the seven angels who had the seven trumpets began to sound them.” The scene sounds so dramatic, angels, trumpets, saints, prayers, fire, incense, a storm and then a sound, one trumpet at a time. What could all this mean?

People who love to study the end of the world turn this into an apocalyptic time for the world as each trumpet releases what sounds like one judgement after another on the world. It very well could be future events to look for, or it could be symbolic language pointing to past events that have already happened. The point is not to give an end times scenario, but to seek to understand the flying trumpets I have been hearing all week. With each angel sounding their trumpet one after another the first four trumpets speak to judgments coming on the land.

Trumpet one is about trees and grass; trumpet two is about sea and ships; trumpet three is about rivers and springs of water; trumpet four is about the sun, moon and stars; but then the final three trumpets are about those who dwell on the earth, but the last three trumpets are not for everyone on earth, but only for certain ones on the earth. This is critical information, for I believe the flying trumpets I have heard this week are the sounds of the seven trumpets here in the book of Revelation. The first four trumpets sounded for the cleansing of the earth, many prophetic people have done prophetic acts to cleanse the earth, by salting rivers, pouring oil on the soil, blessing the land, asking for forgiveness for the blood that has been shed in the land and for releasing the sound of the shofar into the air asking for salvation for the nations. Judgment is always to eradicate wickedness and establish righteousness. The storms the earth has seen, the droughts happening in various places, the many earthquakes being reported, the solar and lunar eclipses, the artic blasts, hurricanes and dust storms. If you think back over the past 3 or so years, it is easy to see creation has been undergoing some serious cleansing for the preparation for what is coming.

Now with the sound of the flying trumpets sounding so clearly, what I see happening in the next three trumpets sounding for the sake of eradicating wickedness as it pertains to people, not all people, but very specific people. At least that is what Revelation 9 says. Trumpet five brings five months of stinging to those who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. For you that have been listening carefully, there has been a significant sting operations happening and people who have no fear of God are being stung in this sting operation. Lying, cheating and stealing does not pay well, and when the thief is caught, he must pay back sevenfold, even if it costs him his whole house (Proverbs 6:31) and that is torment for those who put their trust in their money. The sixth trumpet sounded and a portion of the people on earth died from the plagues of fire, smoke and brimstone. This is a warning shot for those who are doing the same things the people that are dying are doing, and Revelation 9 tells us they were worshipping demons, worshipping idols of silver and gold, brass, stone and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk; they were murderers and sorcerers, immoral and thieves (Revelation 9:20-21). More than we are being told are experiencing this judgment right now on earth for doing these exact things and when it comes into public view, it will be so others who have yet to repent of these things can repent or they will experience the same judgment as those who went before them faced.

Now that judgment has eradicated wickedness in the earth, the land and the people who were doing abominable things we knew nothing of, now we are ready for the sound of the seventh trumpet. We more often than not put this out into the sweet bye and bye that which God is preparing for a much sooner time on earth than we realize and I believe this seventh trumpet is heralding what is just around the corner for us on earth.

Revelation 11:15 says, “Then the seventh angel sounded; and there were loud voices in heaven saying, the kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ; and He will reign forever and ever.” For those who want to put this into the way distant future, I would propose that this began at the resurrection of Jesus Christ and though we have yet to fully understand all that was given to us in His death, burial and resurrection, I believe this is a great starting place. He is ruling the nations right now and the flying trumpets I heard this week are heralding, get ready for the kingdom of God that has been hidden from many of us for our whole life is about to reveal itself to us in a measure that will manifest in global jubilee.

I hear the sound of the flying trumpets and I see the reality of their sounds resounding in the earth even on this day. Now, I add my trumpet (shofar) to these flying trumpets and I decree, Global Jubilee!
