Just Like Him

Psalm 113:5-6 “Who is like the LORD our God, Who is enthroned on high, Who humbles Himself to behold The things that are in heaven and in the earth?”

I was praying this Psalm today and this verse jumped off the page as the Lord reminded me that He never asks us to do anything He hasn’t done or isn’t doing. Many times people view God as sitting on a throne sending out commands for us to follow, do, obey. But that’s not what He’s doing at all, He wants us to be one with Him. He wants us to have His nature, His character, His heart, so we are on earth what He is in heaven.

The more we know Him, the more we are invited to become like Him. He is humble, that’s why we are to be humble; He is generous that is why we are to be generous; He is strong that is why we are to be strong; He is faithful that is why we are to be faithful. He wants us to be like Him, that is why He reveals Himself to us.

It’s no wonder David said, “What is man that You take thought of him, And the son of man that You care for him? Yet You have made him a little lower than God, And You crown him with glory and majesty! You make him to rule over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet” (Psalm 8:4-6). Only Yahweh wants us to know Him so we can be just like Him. There is no other god, like our God!

God is in the Enjoyment

It’s 7:15am and my son wanted to swim before breakfast. The pool is quiet, with only the sound of a water wall in the background. Sitting here poolside, I am awed by the power of the sound of running water. It’s relaxing, inviting, enjoyable and the perfect sound for reading, writing, meditating.

Water is a common theme in the Bible, we have wells, springs, rivers, pools all communicating spirit truths using natural images. God created all things for our enjoyment and in that place of enjoying we find Him in the sound of running water.

It’s Friday, the weekend is here and the season is changing. May you take time to find God in the things you enjoy, for His voice is like the sound of many rushing waters and He leads us beside still waters. His fingerprints are everywhere we find enjoyment.

Doors Are Opening

Have you ever done a “gifts” assessment to find out what “gift” God gave you? It was a big deal in churches when I got saved. It’s not as prevalent now a days, but it’s true, we are all gifted, actually in many ways. My question to you is, did you know your “gift” is going to make room for you?

Proverbs 18:16 says, “A man’s gift makes room for him and brings him before great men.”

Your gift makes room for you and your gift brings you before great men. Therefore, I have two questions for you, what is your gift and are you developing it, so your ready, confident and activated to step in to the door that opens for you because of your gift?

The gift was a free gift, built into your DNA by God, but you are responsible to steward that gift by developing it. Development brings confidence, which is true humility, and activation of it knocks on doors for you that you know nothing about. Great doors of opportunity are opening and your gift is what is making room for you. Steward your gift, then you’ll be ready for the open door!

A Whole New World

In a world where we have known chaos, we are going to have to learn peace.

In a world where we have known noise, we are going to have to learn quietness.

In a world where we have known lack, we are going to have to learn prosperity.

In a world where we have known tolerance, we are going to have to learn truth.

In a world where we’ve known self-protection, we are going to have to learn trust.

In a world where we have known sorrow, we are going to have to learn joy.

In a world where we have feared death, we are going to have to learn to live abundantly.

The world we have known is about to be replaced with a whole new world and we are going to have to learn new things. It’s easy to think we know how to live in this new world, but we will quickly realize we don’t. It will take some learning, but we are going to love what God is about to reveal.

Zephaniah 3:17 “The LORD your God is in your midst, A victorious warrior.

He will exult over you with joy, He will be quiet in His love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.”

We’re Coming Out

When Israel was living in challenging times during their 70 year stay in Babylon, God spoke through the prophet Jeremiah and said to them, “For thus says the LORD, ‘When seventy years have been completed for Babylon, I will visit you and fulfill My good word to you, to bring you back to this place. For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you,’ declares the LORD, ‘and I will restore your fortunes and will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you,’ declares the LORD, ‘and I will bring you back to the place from where I sent you into exile.’”

Our 70 years of exile, just like Israel’s then, is coming to and end. Many of us were born into this so we don’t realize the freedom we are about to experience as we come out of it. But Jeremiah reminded them, you are coming out into a visitation from God; fulfillment of God’s word; prosperity, a future and hope; a close relationship with God; restoration; and gathering. My friends we are coming out for this is God’s appointed time of our jubilee.

Atmospheric Pressure?

I was stirred all night long, tossing and turning, which is uncommon for me. I then get up to pray this morning and anxiety is all around me, again I’m not an anxious person, so these are indications of something outside of me. I ask the Lord about the atmospheric anxiety and literally 10 minutes later, my mom who lives in MN sends me an unsolicited text that says, “Red sky’s in the morning, sailors take warning. Well, my sky is red. We are under a winter watch. Owatonna looks awful. U should have stuff going on.”

I thought you have no idea, you see my mom’ s not a Christian so she was just reporting weather, but the Lord was reporting the atmosphere to me. Then I take my dog for a walk and when I get back there is a notification on my phone that says, California + Arizona VOLCANIC HOT SPOTS on weather satellite—- Midwest shifts w/ M4.0. I don’t fully understand what it’s all about but there is something in the atmosphere and if you hear anyth please share. Eyes wide open!

Elymas Exposed

Elymas has been exposed. Who is Elymas, he is also known as Bar-Jesus, who lived on the island of Paphos and is found in Acts 13:6-11. He is a magician, a Jewish false prophet who was opposing Saul(Paul) and Barnabbas who were sharing the gospel with the proconsul. Paul filled with the Holy Spirit fixed his gaze on Elymas and said, “You who are full of deceit and fraud, you son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, you will not cease to make crooked the straight ways of the Lord.

Can you see it, a spell was cast on us through the use of sorcery and it manifested in deceit and fraud. This spell has been perpetuated through false prophets (the media) to keep us deceived, so they could fulfill their fraud. The definitions for fraud in the Greek are very revealing. But that is not the point right now. The good news is, Elymas has been exposed, the spell has been and continues to be broken off of people and very soon we are going to experience an International Great Awakening to the truth!

Righteousness and justice will establish the nations again, truth and transparency will be seen by all, and God alone who is on the throne orchestrated all of it for the deliverance of the nations from the spirt of Elymas. We are going to experience freedom like we could not of even dreamed of. Paul was right, no eye has seen, no ear has heard, what God has in store for those who love Him and are called according to His name.

Look For His Ways

Psalm 105:2-5 “Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; Speak of all His wonders.

Glory in His holy name; Let the heart of those who seek the LORD be glad. Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face continually. Remember His wonders which He has done, His marvels and the judgments uttered by His mouth.”

Remembering our history biblically, nationally and internationally is critical to our success in the present and the future. History reminds us of how God manifested His faithfulness in past generations.

The challenge of history is that we expect God to do again in the same way, what He did then. With this desire we look for the same signs and wonders rather than the same God.

God is always faithful, He is always a deliverer, He is always manifesting His glory in every generation. He is the same God yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). However, He often chooses a different manifestation of deliverance than we are looking for which is why we can’t see Him working in our midst. Look for the ways (nature) of God not His acts and you’ll never miss what He is doing in your midst.

Tabitha Arise

TABITHA ARISE! this phrase jumped off the page as I read it in Acts 9:40. The Lord is inviting us to announce Tabitha Arise! It’s an easy announcement to make, but when we realize what we are being invited to speak forth, it adds substance to a saying.

Tabitha (Dorcas) is a woman in Joppa that died, she was a woman who was known for charity (love) and deeds of kindness. Peter came to town and was invited to come into the upper room where they laid her. After sending out the weeping widows, Peter prayed, turned to the body, and said, Tabitha Arise! and she opened her eyes and she sat up (Acts 9:39-40).

Tabitha means bright eyes of a gazelle, Gazelle means prominence, splendor, beautiful, glorious, pleasant, goodly, honor, decoration. When Tabitha heard the words of Peter saying Tabitha Arise, bright eyes were opened and she sat up. I believe Tabitha is the body of Christ and the Lord is inviting us to announce, proclaim, Tabitha Arise.

We as the body of Christ need a great awakening to the revelation of Jesus Christ as risen savior. We need our bright eyes opened to His beauty, splendor, glory, honor and prominence. For as we behold Him we become like Him for He is the head and we are His body.

I hear an announcement in the spirit saying Tabitha Arise! I hear an invitation in the spirit, asking us to announce, prophecy, proclaim in the same thing, Tabitha Arise! It’s time for the bright eyes of the body of Christ to be opened.

Unusual Weapons

One of the enemies weapons he uses against us is the weapon called forget. He distracts us with issues, problems and challenges inside of us, outside of us and all around us. His purpose is to get us to forget. Forget what? Forget all that God has done for us.

Psalm 103 says, forget not His benefits. Forget not His benefits. Remember what the Lord has done for you. I hadn’t thought about forgetting as a weapon used against me or against you, but today the Lord showed me this weapon and reminded me, is reminding us to remember. The weapon called remember defeats the weapon the enemy uses against us called forget.

Remember He pardons all your iniquities.

Remember He heals all your diseases.

Remember He redeems your life from the pit.

Remember He crowns you with loving kindness and compassion.

Remember He satisfies your years with good things.

Remember He established His Throne in the heavens and rules over all.

Remember He has angels and hosts that obey His word and do His bidding.

Remember Psalm 103 for it is a weapon that defeats forgetting.
