Joshua 3:1 “Then Joshua rose early in the morning; and he and all the sons of Israel set out from Shittim and came to the Jordan, and they lodged there before they crossed.”
I am spending my final minutes in Kansas City sitting at a table looking out my back window just like I did for 8 1/2 years as the Lord restored my soul. With my Bible my journal my pen and my lamp I remember the faithfulness of my God in this place. This morning before I leave I’m gonna put a stake in the ground for this place has been a place of the outpouring of God‘s spirit in my life and I will forever be grateful. The people of Missouri and especially the Kansas City area have blessed me bountifully and made me into the woman that I am today. To everyone of you that I went to church with, played softball with, and did life with, I want to say thank you so much I will always carry you in my heart.
The Lord told me final preparation from tabernacles to passover, little did I know that the final week of preparation was going to be the preparing and putting on the market of my house here in Kansas City. The timing of God is always perfect, it seems like patience takes a long time but when the suddenly arrives it’s amazing how the pace of grace accelerates. More than once I have been told by people do not despise the day of small beginnings. As I walk away from my tabernacle in the wilderness which has been a sanctuary for my soul for the past 8 1/2 years it will be a beginning but not small for me because it laid foundation in me that is going to sustain what God‘s going do in my life in the years to come.
My friends Jesus said the two greatest commandments are to love the Lord your God and love your neighbor as yourself. It’s really that simple. People are our treasure, God gives us places to be reminders of his presence in our lives, but the place is not His presence it’s the presence of God in you and I that makes the place so special. God does not come down in buildings made with the hands of man He dwells in the hearts of people and when He pours out his spirit He pours it out upon people. As everyone of us continues on this journey with the Lord, may we never change our mind about Him and may we always declare though none go with me still I will follow. Because as for me and my house we will always serve the Lord.
For many of us we are coming out of the wilderness crossing the Jordan and heading into the promised land. We may have very little that we are carrying with us in the natural but we are loaded in the spirit with everything God taught us in the wilderness. The wilderness is a place we bless as we go, It’s a time to thank the Lord because only faith brought us into the wilderness only faith kept us in the wilderness and onlyfaith sent us from the wilderness across the river into our promised land. My friends this is not the end it’s only the beginning.
