Reformation Of A Nation

The nations are the legacy of Jesus (Psalm 2), we must come into alignment with God’s assignment for the nations. A friend said to me the other day, “Opinions can become the seed bed of deception.” Friends there are so many opinions about what is happening right now and honestly, our opinions are formed and fashioned by what we have been taught, heard or studied. God is not being moved by our opinions, He is moving in the nations.

Our invitation is to come into alignment with God’s assignment for the nations. We may not understand or ever agree, but if we want to not miss the hour of our visitation, we need to be still and know that He is God (Psalm 46:10).

While in prayer this morning, the Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, “Josiah’s reforms are happening in America. America needs reformation because of the deformation and the defamation that has taken place.” Josiah’s reforms are found in 2 Chronicles 34; deformation means an alteration of form for the worst; and defamation means an act of injuring another’s reputation by any slanderous communication either written or oral.

I said, wow, yes Lord, we need a reformation because of our deformation and defamation as a nation. God is bring a reformation to our nation and the nations. We are seeing this happening swiftly with the stroke of a pen, similar to what Josiah did in 2 Chronicles 34 “He began to purge Judah and Jerusalem of the high places, the Asherim, and the carved and the metal images. And they chopped down the altars of the Baals in his presence, and he cut down the incense altars that stood above them. And he broke in pieces the Asherim and the carved and the metal images, and he made dust of them and scattered it over the graves of those who had sacrificed to them. He also burned the bones of the priests on their altars and cleansed Judah and Jerusalem.”

We need this reformation in order to heal our deformation and for us to be forgiven of our defamation. Thank you Lord for the reformation you are bringing our nation. I want to be alignment with your assignment.
