Graduation Day

It’s graduation day here in this house and the excitement and preparation for celebration is in full swing. The Lord has been and continues to be so faithful to our family. If you knew the history you would celebrate the victory with us. We all have a testimony, and we need to shout it from the roof tops for our God is truly a restorer of the years the locust tried to eat away.

This morning I walked downstairs to hear my dad and step mom praying in my living room. I paused on the steps and tears fell down my face. To have praying parents is a gift money cannot buy. Our blended family did not start out the way we are now, there were many potholes and speed bumps, but from last nights table talk after dinner to waking up to them praying, God has done miracles that cannot be denied.

Now we are minutes away from going to the location destination for the graduation. But before I leave I sat down to read a psalm, say a prayer and thank God for this awesome day and Psalm 149 says, “Sing to the Lord a dw song, and His praise in the assembly of the saints. For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation.”

Jesus Christ has saved a lot of people in my family, we still have a few to go, but anything is possible with God. This is why, Psalm 149 continues and says, “Let the high praise of God be in your mouth and a two-edged sword in your hand.” Praise and the word of God are the weapons we fight with against spirits that seeks to steal, kill or destroy, what God has restored.

Well, we are headed out to celebrated with the ceremony, then we will come back to celebrate with friends and family at the open house. If your live near by come on over it starts at 5pm. But until the photos come out, I wanted to say thank you to all of you for reading these blogs daily and supporting what God has called me to do, for they come out of real life every morning and this morning, we are celebrating my son’s life as he graduates. 🎓
