Keep Your Vow To God

The story of Samson in Judges 15-16 is one that has been preached on in many services over the years. It is a great story of a barren woman who God blessed with a male child who she declared and then he maintained as a Narzarite from birth. If you look into the Nazarite vow, you will find it was a commitment to consecration, to be set apart for God’s use only. This was a voluntary vow men and women took.

This vow came with great gifts, for Samson this vow gave him supernatural strength. God was going to use this supernatural strength to defeat the enemy of Israel the Philistines. The Philistines killed Samson’s first wife because she could not get him to break his vow to God. Then he ends up with a prostitute, but he escapes that situation with the strength his vow provided him. He then falls in love again with Delilah.

The Philistines learned from their past mistake of burning to death his first wife and her family, so they bribe his second wife with money. A lot of money. This bribe works and she wears him down enough to find out that his strenght is not because of some charm he carries, but because of a vow he made to Yahweh. “He told her all his heart, and said to her, “A razor has never come upon my head, for I have been a Nazirite to God from my mother’s womb. If my head is shaved, then my strength will leave me, and I shall become weak and be like any other man.” (Judges 16:17)

Samson broke his vow to God and lost his strenght. Samuel never broke his Nazarite vow to God and died a prophet whose words never fell to the ground (1 Samuel 1:11). Friends, our promises to God releases gifts to us that enemy seeks to steal from us, not because he wants the gift, but because the gift is defeating him and rescuing us. Our vows to God are powerful, we must guard them at all cost, for the enemy is after our vow not our strength or prophetic words.

It’s Maturity Time

Ephesians 4 tells us that the five fold ministry gifts are for multiple reasons, but one is to mature the body of Christ. We have a lot of titles that call people one of the five fold ministry gifts, like apostle, prophet, pastor, teacher or evangelist, but we have very few of those titles who are maturing the body of Christ. The days of titles are over the days of function are here. Those five gifts were given to the church to mature us, to equip us, to deploy us. The evidence that these are titles not functions in the church right now is the amount of immaturity we see in the body of Christ.

Sixty “prophets” confronted one “prophet” publicly and now we have a myriad of commentators weighing in on a matter revealing our immaturity from the “prophets” down to the YouTube commentators. Church, Proverbs 26:20-21 says, “For lack of wood the fire goes out, and where there is no whisperer, quarreling ceases. As charcoal to hot embers and wood to fire, so is a quarrelsome man for kindling strife.” The more we talk about it the more the quarrel stays alive and reveals our immaturity as the body of Christ.

Then we have a video of a Bishop having a health issue publicly on Sunday during the service and the venom being spewed about this man is embarrassing and again evidence of our immaturity. I am not saying we should not know about these things, but we speak about people we have never met and have no first hand knowledge of.

Those are just public quarrels and comments. This is happening in local churches as well with leaders speaking about their people, about people speaking about other people, the quarreling, strife, and slander is revealing we have had titles but not function, for the body of Christ is very immature. But thanks be to God, He does not leave us in our mess. We have entered a season of house cleaning so He can remove the reproach off us as a body, of whom Christ is the head. God is focused on function not title and we are about to grow up as God gives us leaders that function according to Ephesians 4 and train us to not be tossed to and fro any mo. Our best days are upon us. Maturity is so much more beneficial to all of us.

The End Game

I was listening to a friend share yesterday and as I did she said, “I have never identified the end game of this endeavor I am in. I need to know what my end game is.” Then this morning in prayer, the Lord speaks to me and says, “The end game of sin is always death.” Romans 6:23 comes to my spirit “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” The next thought the Holy Spirit drops in my spirit is, “This is why I call people to repent, because the end game of sin is always death and I do not delight in the death of anyone.”

No one wants to die, but how many people are willing to repent of their sin in order to live and live life abundantly? The root of all sin is unbelief, we don’t believe what God says, therefore we do what we want to do, rather than trust God for what He knows we are supposed to do. The enemy damaged our trust as a child, for he knew better than we did, that it takes trust to obey the words of God over our own ways, thoughts, plans, ideas. The invitation to sin by the enemy is because he knows the end game of sin is death and he rejoices in things that die in us, through us and around us.

I was praying Psalm 85 this morning and it says, “Let me hear what God the LORD will speak, for he will speak peace to his people, to his saints; but let them not turn back to folly. Surely his salvation is near to those who fear him, that glory may dwell in our land.” The preceeding verses speak of restoration of fortunes, revival of people, and God turning from his anger. We love the words restore and revive, but I believe God is saying to us, He will restore, He will revive, but He wants us to remain restored, remain revived. He does not want us to return to our folly once He rescues us out of it. For the end game of sin is death, but the end game of remaining faithful to God is life and life abundantly. We need to repent and remain for righteousness is exalting the nations.

The Real Treasure

My spirit keeps saying over and over again, “People are the treasure, people are the treasure.” Friends, the most valuable thing on earth is people. People come in all shapes and sizes; they come in all colors and cultural backgrounds; they all have varying and different stories and current situations; but people are the treasure of earth.

Many pursue silver and gold as the highest commodity of earth, but the Lord says, “People are the treasure of earth!” People hurt us because they are so valuable to us. People are the gift that keeps on giving; people are who we pray for more than anything else; people are what make up our churches; people are why we have companies; people are what makes our life rich. People are the treasure and you are a people, which means you are a treasure.

When we get a revelation of people as the treasure, we will enjoy people, celebrate people, listen to people, laugh with people, cry with people, be patient with people, extend grace to people, smile at people, the earth is full of people, because people are the treasure of earth. Older people, younger people, all people are a treasure. Oh that we would get the revelation of how much God loves people. He sent His person, Jesus the Christ to earth, because He loves people.

The Bible is a story of people, lessons to learn from people, promises kept and broken by people, experiences of God and people. No person is perfect, but we as a people and each of us individually are a treasure. I see a treasure chest and as it opens, I see the faces of people, you my friend are the treasure of earth and you are highly valuable to God and me. Oh that we would get a revelation of how to love and treasure people!

Feeling Or Spirit

Pain, it is something everyone has endured. Pain unhealed manifests in a myriad of ways, but it does manifest. Unhealed pain can be seen in self-protection, addiction, anger, fear or even suspicion. Pain has a way of eroding our ability to trust people, which causes us to operate in a way that is not our original design. No wonder the enemy hits us as kids when we are defenseless and then just reinforces it throughout our lives in order to establish the pain inside of us.

In this day and in this hour, we must be still and know that He is God. Psalm 46 speaks of storms, struggles, situations that cause unrest in the earth realm and in the midst of it all, the psalmist declares in verse 10 “Be still and know that I am God.” God is a strong tower, a refuge, He is the prince of peace, He is unmovable, unshakeable, unstoppable in what He is doing in the earth with all of HIs children. Both those who have accepted His invitation to salvation and those who have not yet.

One of the things we need to discern in this hour, as we deal with people who are in pain, in ways we do not even understand, but see the manifestation of, is the need to validate their feelings, but cast out the spirit. People who are afraid have many reasons for feeling fearful, if we do not validate their feelings we actually invalidate them. They need to know we see they are afraid, but we must not validate the spirit of fear that is trying to attach itself to them. 2 Timothy 1:7 says, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” Fear is a feeling and it is a spirit knowing which you are dealing with is critical. Cast out the spirit but validate the feeling.

Anger is similar to fear, people will get angry about injustices they see and hear, situations they encounter, experiences they have. We need to validate the feeling of anger, but when we are dealing with a spirit of anger, we cast it out and make no room for it. God is cleaning houses, White houses and churches houses, our houses and others houses. Fear and anger are going to be seen and heard, because they are valid emotions but we must not tolerate them as spirits even as we validate them as feelings. #toolsforthecomingdays #lessonslearnedrecently #loveistheprinciplething

Spring Cleaning

Spring is here in the kingdom of God, even though spring has not come naturally here in the earth realm. On August 30, 2024 the Lord spoke to me and said, “Now is the time when kings go to war.” This is a direct quote from 2 Samuel 11:1 which says, “In the spring of the year, the time when kings go out to battle…” but it was August 30, not March or April when the Lord said this, so I kept it to myself and only shared it with a few friends privately.

On November 12, 2024 the Lord whispered to me Jeremiah 23, so I read the chapter and took some notes in my journal, one of which I wrote, “God raised up a king (speaking of the presidential election in the USA) because the shepherds weren’t doing their job, taking care of of the sheep.” Jeremiah 23 is a statement to shepherds and prophets who are not doing what God wants them to do.

Now yesterday I listened to Kris Vallaton’s message from November 10, 2024 called The New Era of Righteousness, I recommend all listen to it, but he says, the Lord speaks to him Jeremiah 23 and it says in verse 11, “Both prophet and priest are ungodly; even in my house I have found their evil, declares the LORD.” And the Lord whispers to me again, I am doing a spring cleaning in my church. Then Kris says, “Judgment begins with the house of God and it has begun, but once the church cleansing is over, the Lord will cleanse the world as well for this is the new era of righteousness.”

God is doing a spring cleaning, this is happening in a major way in the prophetic and the charismatic church with many stories happening and Kris says more will come out. This is not a time to point fingers as though we are not living in a glass house so we can throw stones, this is a time to search our own hearts, for we are the church, it is not a building and God is doing a spring cleaning in all of us. For we are in the New Era of Righteousness!!!!

No More Adjustments

Have you ever been to the chiropractor? I used to work for one as the marketing manager for his wellness center. What I love about the chiropractor is that people come in one way and leave feeling a whole lot better. The reason being is because they got a much needed adjustment. The challenge with the chiropractor is when you are out of alignment, you can come get an adjustment but it is only temporary, you need to keep coming back and for some people it is frequently.

We have a lot of Christian Chiropractors in the body of Christ. They give you a book to read to adjust you; they give you a scripture to read, hoping to adjust you; they give you a prophetic word or some action to take in order to help adjust you. The challenge is, adjustments are temporary, what you need is not an adjustment, you need to be brought back into alignment. Adjustments feel good for a while, but if you do not get back into alignment you are going to need another adjustment.

The word of God is not a chiropractic adjustment, it is an invitation to come into alignment with the assignment God has for you. If you are out of alignment you are not functioning by design. God does not give you an adjustment, He actually uses prophets, to bring you back into alignment, so you can get going with your assignment. Amos 7:7-8 says, “This is what he showed me: behold, the Lord was standing beside a wall built with a plumb line, with a plumb line in his hand. And the LORD said to me, “Amos, what do you see?” And I said, “A plumb line.” Then the Lord said, Behold, I am setting a plumb line in the midst of my people Israel; I will never again pass by them.”

I hear the Holy Spirit saying, I am bringing a prophetic plumb line into my church in order to bring my body back into alignment, because I have an assignment for them to fulfill in their generation. This alignment will cause us to function by design, will break hope deferred and will cause blessings to flow freely. Once you are back in alignment, the need for adjustments ends, because in alignment is how God created us to operate by design.

Both Genders Can Prophesy

I love the prophetic, I love giving and receiving prophetic words, I love how prophecy ignites hope, establishes truth and builds us inside strong. Moses said, oh that all of God’s people would prophesy. It has been amazing listening to prophetic voices online and in person. It has been a learning experience for all of us to learn the difference between a prophetic word of encouragement and a prophetic warning; between a prophetic unction to function and a confirmation of something we already know.

The prophetic is not gender specific, but is available for all to do. Acts 2 fulfilled Joel 2 when Peter says on the day of Pentecost, quoting what God said through Joel, “I will pour out my spirit on all flesh, your sons and daughters shall prophesy.” Prophesy is proclaiming the words of God to the people of God. Some don’t think women should be preachers, but God says we can ALL prophesy. So, if you don’t think we women should be preaching, then just call it prophesying, because that is biblically established in both the Old and New Testament.

In Judges 4, Deborah, a prophetess, speaks a work to Barak the commander of Israel’s army. I love this word, for it is establishing in Barak what God already told him, but he wasn’t doing. “Has not the LORD, the God of Israel, commanded you, ‘Go, gather your men at Mount Tabor, taking 10,000 from the people of Naphtali and the people of Zebulun. And I will draw out Sisera, the general of Jabin’s army, to meet you by the river Kishon with his chariots and his troops, and I will give him into your hand’?” Deborah encouraged him, prophetically, to do what God told him to do, but wasn’t yet doing.

All these side issues about gender must die in the body of Christ, because here is a woman leading a man in the Old Testament. God is using both men and women, young and old, rich and poor, slave and free, Jew and Gentile, for the kingdom of God is at hand and we all are called to prophesy. Let’s go, we have land to take, a harvest to bring in, and glory to give to God!!!!

The Future Is Bright

The Lord says, “Remember your history with God when you are in the middle of the mystery of God.”

If you are a Christian you have a history with God. He has done miracles in you, through you, or around you that you cannot deny. Your salvation alone is a miracle that cannot be denied if you do not forget who you used to be before you met Jesus. Friends, we have so much God has done in our generation, we could write story after story. Then add all the history Israel has with God and all the stories in the Bible about what God has done and we have enough history with God to never doubt God.

The challenge is, we forget the history when we are living in a mystery, but God gave us a history with Him so when we are walking in mystery we can lean on our history. God does not change, He is the same yesterday, today and forever. What He did for Israel, He will do for our nation, your nation, any nation. We have been grafted in, we are one new man in Christ, neither Jew nor Gentile any longer. We can trust the history of God, when we don’t understand the mystery we are walking in right now.

Mystery of sickness; mystery of marriage, divorce, death; mystery of money; mystery of dreams yet to be fulfilled; mystery of barrenness; mystery of hurt, grief, pain; mystery of abuse and misuse of people; so many mysteries, yet we have a history with God. Psalm 78 says, “He commanded our fathers to teach to their children, that the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn, and arise and tell them to their children, so that they should set their hope in God and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments;”

Friends, remember your history with God, talk about it, dwell in it, for your history is what is going to get you through the mystery. Future generations are depending on us.

Open the Blinds

Our women’s bible study group just finished a book by Havilah Cunnington called Created to Hear. In this book the author lays out four ways people hear God and she invited us to explore our bent. The four ways are hearing, seeing, feeling and knowing. I am a hearer. I hear God and I love to hear His voice. Others in our group were seers and they see angels, pictures and even movies as the voice of God. Some are feelers, they pick up things in the atmosphere, they have deep compassion, they feel the voice of God. Finally, there are some who are knowers. They just know what God is saying or doing. They just know and can’t be moved on what they just know. It was an incredible study as we as a group realized we need each others gift to establish the voice of God we are hearing and to see the bigger picture God is speaking. It was an incredible time we had together.

This morning the Holy Spirit spoke so crystal clearly to me, saying, “Open the blinds the sun has been shining all along.” He went on to say, “Pray Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 1 so people will open their blinds.” Finally, I heard the song, “Let the Light In by Cody Carnes.” It was so clear what I was hearing and the Holy Spirit was so excited to share it, for He wants people to open their blinds and see the sun that has been shining all along. We tend to live with blinds closed and then speak from the dark room we are in, but it is time to open the blinds, and let the light in.

Ephesians 1 says, “I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might that he worked in Christ.” This is the prayer we are to be praying for those who are living behind closed blinds.

Let The Light In by Cody Carnes says, “It’s time for the sleeper to wake
It’s time for the old winds to change; I hear the Spirit say it’s time; It’s time for the dead man to rise; It’s time for the Great Light to shine; I hear the Spirit say it’s time. Open up the windows, let the light in; Open up the windows, let the light in; Open up the windows, let the light in; Let the light in, Let the light in.” This is the song we are to sing over them as we pray for them. It is spring time in the spirit and we must open up the blinds, then the windows, for there is a gentle breeze blowing and the Son has always been shining.
