Isaiah 45:3 “I will give you the treasures of darkness and riches from secret places, so that you may know that I, Yahweh, the God of Israel call you by your name.”
We are living in a season of hidden treasures being revealed. The Lord is showing His children where to find hidden treasures. Remember Proverbs 25:2 says, “It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.” We are kings and priests of our God, He has concealed many things, not to hide them from us, but to hide them for us, but we must seek them out. This is one of the reasons Matthew 6:33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you” is so significant for us. Only the seekers will find (Matthew 7:7). Promises and prophetic words are just that promises and prophetic, they are not something always given, many times they must be sought out.
Based on a string of prophetic puzzle pieces, the Lord led me on a prophetic journey to salt the Grand River, here in Missouri. Listening to Brian Simmons preach on a Friday night at Bethel Church in Redding, CA, he spoke prophetically and said, “It is time to dig ditches, for it is going to rain”. Then on Saturday night a friend of mine called me and said, the Lord said to tell you, “Gather vessels and fill them with water!” I went to bed wondering what this meant, so the next morning, I went to 2 Kings 4 to the story of the widow and the gathering of the jars, but the context did not fit my life, so knew that was not what the Lord was saying to me. Next, I went to John 2 where Jesus said, fill the jars with water…now this fit, so I camped here. John 2:1 says, “On the third day (this was key as the Lord has been speaking to me about the third day), in Cana…selah. Cana, this word jumped out to me, what does Cana mean, it means ravine, river, stream, creek. So, I put Brian’s word, dig ditches together with Cana and the Lord said to me, “Ditch Creek.” When in doubt with what God is saying, “Google it!” When I Google’d ditch creek, it led me to a small town in Rolla, MO that has a campground called Ditch Creek which is located on the Grand River and that had a record flooding on August 21, 1915. Another piece of the prophetic puzzle, August 21, 2017 there is a solar eclipse coming over us here in St. Joseph, MO (45 minutes from me) and I have been inquiring of the Lord about the significance of this for us as Americans. Light bulb goes on and I know what to do, because in January 2017 the Lord told me this is the year to salt rivers (2 Kings 2), that I am to salt the Grand River. I look for the mouth of the river and it is located in Keytesville, MO. I Google this town and find out there is a national registry historical building there, so I determine this is where I am to go. So, I plan my trip for Wednesday and on Tuesday morning I received a prophetic word from a friend that said, “I was to not ignore that tiny door, for behind it was grandeur.” When I got the word, I had no idea what the Lord was referencing as I did not see any door, let alone a tiny door. But while in prayer, the Lord revealed to me that this word was confirmation that I was to go salt the Grand river which is located in a very tiny town called Keytesville, MO. If I was not seeking to understand the prophetic words and wasn’t willing to follow the prophetic puzzle pieces, I would have never had the honor of salting that river.
The hidden treasures in that small town were many, but the one that brought me to tears was located at the river we went to salt. We got to the boat launch with the help of some locals and we went and salted the river, decreeing 2 Kings 2:19-22 “Then the men of the city said to Elisha, “Behold now, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord sees; but the water is bad and the land is unfruitful.” He said, “Bring me a new jar, and put salt in it.” So, they brought it to him. He went out to the spring of water and threw salt in it and said, “Thus says the Lord, ‘I have purified these waters; there shall not be from there death or unfruitfulness any longer.’” So, the waters have been purified to this day, according to the word of Elisha which he spoke.” At the bank of the river was a telephone pole with a ruler on it that went to 38ft, but stopped at the number 37. It was a river that flooded often, but I did not know it. Then as we are preparing to leave to head back to Kansas City, I see a historical marker in the parking lot, so I said to my friend, let me check that out before we leave. I get over to this cement plaque and it says, “Trail of Death”, it said right here 800 Potowama Indians died in this river crossing. I wept. The Lord brought me to this tiny town, to salt this Grand River, so I could decree healing to the river that was a valley of dry bones (Ezekiel 37), remember the ruler had 37 as the top number and now I knew why. Hidden treasures being revealed.
That night when we got home, which was last Wednesday, July 26, 2017, Kansas City had massive flooding and a record flood happened at Indian Creek. Another prophetic puzzle piece, as rain means blessing. But one last thing that flood did, it soaked the ground so much that seeds which were lying dormant way below the surface came forth this week, we have a field by my house that usually only grows grass, but right now after that soaking, that flood, it has produced pockets of corn stalks and flowers, this field used to be someone’s harvest, but was sold to developers, but the seeds are still in the ground and it took a flood for them to break forth. There is a flood of God’s glory coming and it is going to reveal hidden treasures in secret places.
