Everyone has the ability to pursue. Some people pursue money, others pursue relationships, still some pursue the enemy, but most people don’t use their pursuer to pursue God. For most God is an accessory not a priority.
Have you ever wondered why this is?
Only the individual can answer this for themselves but based on observations of what people pursue it’s possible it’s because God is not instant pleasure, instant results or instant satisfaction. People who have money, ministry, and marriage are still not satisfied because only God can fulfill your inner longing.
We all have the ability, the desire, the want to to pursue, but if its not God your pursuit will not yield lasting fruit. Adjust your pursuer from things that only bring temporary satisfaction to the Lord who is eternal satisfaction and He will give you the temporal things to enjoy.
1 Timothy 6:17 “Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy.”
