It’s Pentecost Sunday. 50 days since Resurrection Day. 50 means Jubilee! These truths alone give us reason to shout, but let me remind you of one more Pentecost Sunday reason to shout Hallelujah.
On that first Pentecost, where Peter said Joel 2 was being fulfilled, remember the sound of wind was heard in the house, but the tongues of fire were not resting on a building, they were resting on people. The fire of God is not coming to a building it is coming to you, to me, to rest on people. People not places are about to be filled with Pentecostal fire again. Then people will speak the word of God, people will testify, people will share the gospel in every nation, to every tribe and tongue. People the fire is for you not a building.
Acts 2:1-5 “When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a noise like a violent rushing wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. And there appeared to them tongues as of fire distributing themselves, and they rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit was giving them utterance.”
