Know God, Do Exploits

Today, all over the world, many songs are going to be sung, a lot of money is going to be given, and a whole host of prayers are going to be prayed. All of which are part of gathering corporately to worship The Lord Our God, Yahweh, Jesus the Christ, The Holy Spirit. But one thing is needed in the midst of all of this that will be and has been happening on this day, Elijah said it best in 1 Kings 18:36-37 “At the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, Elijah the prophet came near and said, “O LORD, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, today let it be known that You are God in Israel and that I am Your servant and I have done all these things at Your word. Answer me, O LORD, answer me, that this people may know that You, O LORD, are God, and that You have turned their heart back again.”

In the midst of everything we do today, we need to know that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel is the God in our nation. We need to know that He is God and that He is turning our hearts back again to Him. This is the greatest need of the Church in this hour. We need to know God! I pray as you head to church this morning, as you head to synagogue, that you would know that Yahweh is God, that Jehovah is God, that He alone is God! This is what we need to know, not in theory, in reality, in everyday living, we need to live a life of those who know God, then we will be able to do great exploits. Daniel said, “The people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.” I pray today we would know that You, O Lord, are God, then we will do great exploits. Happy Sunday friends.
