Do you find yourself or do you hear of others fighting over crumbs? The spirit of poverty will cause you to fight for something small, because you do not recognize your access to abundance. The Bible says we are not to go to court before unbelievers, and yet what do people go to court for? Watch Judge Judy for one week and you realize every case in the court room is over money. Money are scraps, crumbs, they are of little significance and yet people fight over it all the time. Not wanting to be wronged or robbed they fight over money. I wish this was an issue in the world, but it is prevelant in the church.

Can I tell you a secret? You don’t need to argue with anyone over money, if you have access to abundance. In 2 Chronicles 25 there is a story about a king of Judah named Amaziah and he took a census and discovered he had 300,000 choice men able to go to war and handle spear and shield (v.5). The king of Judah did not think that was enough warriors for the war he was about to engage in so he hired 100,000 soldiers from Israel for 100 talents (v.6). Stacked with a military ready for the war, a prophet shows up and says to the king, “O king, do not let the army of Israel go with you, for the Lord is not with Israel nor with any of the sons of Ephraim” (v.7). The king says, no problem with the soldiers, but what about the 100 talents I paid for these soldiers? The prophet replied, “The Lord has much more to give you than this” (v.9). The prophet said, just let them keep the money, the Lord has an abundance you will lack nothing.

My friends, we as the body of Christ must learn who are God is, He is a God of abundance. People worship money because they have a spirit of poverty. People hoard supplies and stock pile money for they are afraid of lack, which is a spirit of poverty. People fight over money because of the spirit of poverty. And all this in the body of Christ. Yet, we have access to abundance so never need to fear running out. No matter what happens to the economy, remember we have access to abundance. Don’t go to war with people over money, just give it to them, for you and I have access to abundance.
