Reading through 2 Chronicles yields access to assets that we tend to forget because the doctrines of men told us the Old Testament is without purpose for New Testament believers. But for those who love the word of God, they love all the words both old and new and find treasures untold throughout. I found some treasures today in 2 Chronicles 14 I want to share with you, I think you will like them.

The Ethiopians were coming to attack Judah and they had a 1 million man strong army along with 300 chariots, while Judah and Benjamin only had just over 500,00 strong. Numberically the odds were against them, but as my husband always says, “One with God is the majority.” This was truly the case for Judah and Benjamin. King Asa, the king of Judah saw the odds against him and so he prayed, “LORD, there is no one besides You to help in the battle between the powerful and those who have no strength; so help us, O LORD our God, for we trust in You, and in Your name have come against this multitude. O LORD, You are our God; let not man prevail against You.” King Asa partnered with God for victory over an imposing army. The Bible says, they pursued, the enemy could not recover for they were shattered and they carried away very much plunder. With God we can do exploits.

As I read this story, I thought of people that feel like they are outnumbered. Maybe the army coming against you is a diagnosis from the doctor, a financial number that is bigger than you, a relationship, a work environment, whatever it is, join Asa and pray, for one with God is majority. And for the nations, who are in a war with an invisible enemy that seems bigger than us, pray what Asa prayed, for our army is pursuing, the Lord is shattering the enemy and we are going to see much plunder. God is still in the business of fighting wars with the enemy and winning.

One of the primary goals of deception is to alter your perception. Perception is a powerful weapon we have been given, but it must be aligned with the truth of God’s word or perception works against us not for us. Henceforth, why the deceiver seeks to alter our perception through deception. Here is an example of what I mean and why it’s important.

Genesis 3:14-15 tells us, the serpent, satan, is a snake, a creature, an animal. I think we forget this, the enemy is an animal, a dust licking animal at that, but an animal nonetheless. When we re deceived to perceive the devil as anything more than an animal, a snake, a creature, this serpent goes from being an animal to being a “god”; a force; an angel; anything other than an animal. What is the devil’s goal in changing our perception of him? The goal is to get us to make the enemy something other than an animal, for the serpent knows Genesis 1:26 “Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” The devil knows we have been given dominion over ever animal. It’s time to realign our perception to who the devil really is.

When we slow down, read the word and allow the Lord to renew our perception, we find truth that sets us free, not because it’s new, but because we forget and now we remember. You are created in the image of God and you have been given dominion over every animal, including that ancient serpent, the devil, who masquerades as an angel, but is only a dust licking snake. Remember who you are and take dominion over that snake.

The power of God once released in a person, region, nation or on the planet is going to produce results of the liking many do not have on the forefront of their thinking. When people hear about the power of God they think, prosperity, healing, signs, wonders, miracles, restoration, recompense and so many other benefits, all of which are true. There is another compenent that is going to be released with the power of God that in my opinion trumps all the benefits of God’s power.

The first thing we will see with the release of God’s power will be Psalm 66:3 “Say to God, “How awesome are Your works! Because of the greatness of Your power Your enemies will give feigned obedience to You.” The manifestaion of the power of God is going to cause His enemies to obey Him! That is a shout worthy statement. When God’s enemies bow to God not on the final judgment, but when the power of God shows up on earth, it is going to bring a great shout.

The second thing we will see with the release of the power of God is going to be as Psalm 110:2-4 “The LORD will stretch forth Your strong scepter from Zion, saying, Rule in the midst of Your enemies.” Your people will volunteer freely in the day of Your power; In holy array, from the womb of the dawn, Your youth are to You as the dew. The LORD has sworn and will not change His mind, You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek.” Come on somebody, the power of God is going to bring with it the people’s response to willingly volunteer. When the power of God shows up so do the people of God. We will not longer bemoan the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few, for the people will willingly do the works of God.

The day of God’s power is packed with benefits and we know them well, but the real assets we will see in the days of God’s power are not perishable things, but people volunteering freely and enemies obeying God feignly. These are reasons to shout!

Last year the Lord spoke on more than one occasion through more than one voice that a demarcation was going to manifest. I, along with many of you, were looking for that separation, that demarcation. Some called it the wheat and the chaff, others called it the light and the darkness, no matter the terminology, it was clear there was a distinction that would be obvious. This week I have seen some glimpses into this demarcation that is manifesting. Others may have already seen this, but for me it is becoming more and more clear. Here is what I am seeing…

I see the demarcation between the “corporation” church and the body of Christ; I see the difference between the prophets speaking the voice of God and those echoing the voice of the media; I see the distinction between those who have a spirit of fear and those who have been perfected (become complete/whole/healed) by love; I see the separation between the holy and the vile; I see the line that has been drawn in the sand and those who are on the Lord’s side and those who are in the world. Do you see what I see or do you see other things as well?

We must be very careful that we, the mature, are only speaking what God is speaking, announcing what God is announcing, love what God is loving and hate what God is hating. Too many people are caught in a spirit of fear and call it God. God is love and His perfect love casts out all fear, therefore, until we are perfected in love we won’t be fearless. Until we are fearless, we will misinterpret what we think we hear God saying. Many people are dreaming the news and calling it a prophetic dream. Discernment does not come from increasing knowledge, it comes from singleness of eye; oneness of pursuit; and study, prayer, and worship of the only true God. Discernment comes form eating from one tree, the tree of life!

I was praying Psalm 64 this morning and as I did, the psalm went from something that was penned then to now time. The now time sense I got from the psalm is what God is doing right now and so I announced in prayer what the enemy is doing as a from of exposing them putting them on notice that we the people of God are aware of what they are saying and doing in regards to the nations. “They hold fast to themselves an evil purpose; They talk of laying snares secretly; They say, “Who can see them?” They devise injustices, saying, We are ready with a well-conceived plot” (Psalm 64:5-6). Now that they are exposed for what they are doing to the nations and have done, their cover is blown, but what is funny is that they have no new playbook. The ancient serpent does nothing new, henceforth, why what was then felt so alive right now.

Since that is what the enemy is doing in now time, the Lord continued with the psalm and said, “This is what I AM doing in now time as well.” “But God will shoot at them with an arrow; Suddenly they will be wounded. So they will make him stumble; Their own tongue is against them;” (Psalm 64:7-8). The Lord said my arrows are being shot at them right now. Arrow in Hebrew can be translated thunderbolt. God is thundering in the enemies camp as we speak and the enemy is trembling in fear. The enemies of the nations that have taken secret council together have had an interruption in their board meeting, the God of glory thundered and they are petrified.

Finally, there is one more piece to this now time psalm, the Lord said, “All who see them will shake the head. Then all men will fear, And they will declare the work of God, And will consider what He has done” (Psalm 64:9). The announcement of the arrows of God bring sent into the enemies camp has been made and when the manifestion of this event is seen in real time, the Lord said, “The fear of Me will come upon the people of earth and it will be a great awakening!” When thunder cracks suddenly it shakes us to the core in the natural, God is about to manifest His thunder on the enemy and we are going to see a global trembling and awakening.

People of God, when the leaders of the church in around 300AD decided that the state religion of Rome would be Christianity, they took the Bible out of the hands of the people. This began the trend we now today call Biblical illiteracy. Then in the 1500’s Luther nailed his 95 thesis to Whitenberg’s door and Gutenberg press came out and started printing Bibles, so the word of God could be put in the hands of the people again. If I am not mistaken over 10,000 Bible were printed in that first go round of printing. The people were so excited to have the word of God in their hands, to read, for faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. Imagine being able to excercise your faith everyday on your own, rather than having to wait until the next service so someone else could tell you the scriptures they like. The people were elated to own the word of God.

Now over 500 years later, the Bible has been taken for granted. What was once a treasured possession is now a book that rarely gets cracked open by those who claim to love Jesus, want to see miracles and who wonder why they have no authority. My fellow believers, if you do not love the word of God, read the word of God, hunger for the word of God, you will never become who your spirit man is crying out to become. Someone recently sent me a message and said a recent poll showed that 41% of believers do not read their bible. Another significant percent only read the word in church. You can’t have faith only on Sunday morning in church and expect to see a move of God. We must workout our faith everyday at home in the word, so when we come together corporately we don’t have to be coddled or corralled in order to worship, pray, and give.

My friends, the word of God is the only eternal book you will read. It builds you up in a way that makes you inside strong and only the word of God can do that. I was reading Proverbs 3 this morning and it said, “My Child, never drift off course from these two goals for your life: to walk in wisdom and to discover discernment. Don’t ever forget how they empower you. For they strengthen you inside and out and inspire you to do what’s right; you will be energized and refreshed by the healing they bring. They will give you living hope to guide you and not one of life’s test will cause you to stumble.” The Word of God is medicine, protein and vitamins that will keep you healthy all year long, but you must make consuming the word a priority. Grab your Bible and begin again, for it is a love letter that heals every cell in your body.

The Lord spoke to me and said, “The prophets have announced to you what they are doing, but the prophets of the Lord will announce to you what I AM doing.” There is a demarcation coming in the prophetic that is going to be clear and obvious. People have followed the announcements of what the prophets are doing, like a siren calling to the sailors on a ships trying to find the shore. The Lord is going to make announcements this year about what He is doing and if we will follow His voice, we will see a manifestion of what He is doing and He will get the glory.

Proverbs 2:2 “Train your heart to listen when I speak and open your spirit wide to expand your discernment —- then pass it on to your sons and daughters.”
