The more time I spend with God, the more I recognize what is truly valuable. God is truly the smartest person I know and when He teaches me, it goes so contrary to culture that sometimes I struggle to embrace what He is saying when it is first said. The longer I linger over His words, the more I recognize the absolute genius of God. The enemy offers a far lesser quality product, which is why the masses buy into it. People love cheap stuff. But God offers us everything that is high quality, valuable and in some cases priceless. I have learned to receive that which God is offering and nod and say thanks but no thanks to what the enemy is offering me through the world.
I have learned that the genius of God is found in humility. The path to everything valuable is humility. Humility is the core belief that I don’t know it all, there is always something to learn and I will be silent because I don’t know rather than fake it until I make it. People are experts at spotting the fake from the real, even if they don’t tell you they realize you are faking it. Real confidence is humility manifested; real wisdom is humility speaking; real joy is contentment personified; real hope is trust on display; real life is grace in action.
James 3:13 and 17 says this, “If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom. … But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds.” People know what humility looks like, feels like and acts like. Humility is a value of the kingdom and God is raising up those who have kingdom values, humility, authenticity, honor, servants heart, peacemakers, joy bringers, life speakers, because He has expanded the kingdom tent pegs and the harvest is being brought in to become more like Him. Humility is the key to kingdom success.
