I was prompted yesterday to seek out the timeline of events that have happened in our history as a church in this nation. The dates that were highlighted to me, the events that I mapped out, revealed something I had not thought about before nor had I seen, but are proving significant. I shared what I learned with some friends last night and they were deeply encouraged so wanted to share it with you.

1730 the First Great Awakening Jonathan Edwards
1776 America declared itself Independent as a nation
1790 the Second Great Awakening
1800 Red River Meeting House in Kentucky
1801 Cane Ridge Revival in Kentucky
1827 the Rapture theology was introduced
1901 the first speaking in tongues outpouring happened in Topeka, KS
1903 Divine healing outbreak began in Galena, KS
1906 Azusa Street Outpouring began and spead to 50 nations in 9 years
1946 the Healing Revival began with William Branham and Oral Roberts
1960 the Charismatic Renewal goes mainstream with Dennis Bennett in
St Mark’s Episcopal Church in Van Nuys, CA
1967 the Catholic Charismatic Renewal began at Duquesne University
in Pittsburg, PA
1960-1970’s the Third Wave/Jesus Movement/Calvary Chapel/Vineyard/TBN
CBN/PTL television networks began
1973 Roe v Wade; abortion legalized; this moment marked the shedding of
Innocent blood on American soil
I realize we had moves of God in the years since 1973
2023 Dobbs: Roe overturned
May 17, 2026 Rededication of America

Our nation changed during the 49 years of legalized abortion, the spilling of innocent blood on the land. But for the past three years, there has been a runway paved in preparation for the rededication of a nation. When we renew our covenant to God, it is going to cause our future to be even better than our past.

I see a swelling of the spirit of God coming to flood the earth with His glory. I hear Habakkuk 2:14 “For the earth will be filled With the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, As the waters cover the sea.” The judgment is over, the return is here, the narrative is going to change, the nation is going to be restored, and the government of the kingdom is going to heal the land and the people.
