The mighty Missouri River has multiple nicknames one of which is the Muddy MO or the Muddy Missouri River. The river is brown in color so it has garnered this nickname as the Muddy MO. The river is wide, it runs through various locations and has people standing on its banks watching it rush past them. But the brown color is undeniable and the reason for it is the mass amounts of mud it kicks up as it runs.

The Holy Spirit spoke to me the other day and said, “Remove the mud from the mystery and you will find yourself marveling at the One in whom the mystery is speaking about.”

The mud that is making the mystery of many truths in scripture is the doctrine of men that muddy the waters of truth. This week, one denomination in Christianity darkened the muddy waters of the mystery of the role that women play in the church as value added people. When a whole gender is written out of Leadership constitutionally as a gender, it muddies the waters of the mystery of the role they play biblically.

When people write end times timelines, charts and books about cosmic realities that they believe are pointing to a specific moment on a calendar it muddies the waters of the mystery of eschatology. Proverbs 30:5-6 says, “Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. Do not add to his words, lest he rebuke you and you be found a liar.”

Just as the reflection pool in Washington DC has been drained and refilled with clean water. I see the river of God on earth that has been muddied by the doctrine of men being drained and refilled with the pure unadulterated word of God, so that we can again see the reflection of Christ in the word of God.

These waters are pure, clear, struck, transparent, rich in minerals, and will quench your thirst again. This river leads to trees that have leaves for the healing of nations according to Ezekiel 47. God is removing the mud so that the pure living waters can flow again. I see Crystal Clearwater flowing from under the threshold of the temple door again and bringing healing to all that drink of it.
