The Way

One of the first names given to those who gathered as followers of Jesus Christ after His resurrection from the dead and ascension to the right hand of the Father, was called The Way. Acts 9:1-3 tells us they were called people who followed The Way.

This seems fitting, as Jesus Himself described Himself in John 14 as: The Way, The Truth and The Life, saying no one can come to the Father except through Him. Jesus was The Way, so His followers after His departure from earth, followed the way and were called followers of The Way.

For the past week I have been seeing the Hebrew word for Way in a variety of places. The word way is very consistent in the word of God, but the Hebrew word has been highlighted over and over again.

The word way in Hebrew is derekh. In Hebrew there is no vowels, so it would be spelled DRKH. Each letter in Hebrew is a letter, a number and a picture, it is a trilingual language. So the this word has been speaking to me for days and I finally submitted to it and what I found I believe will bless you.

D – Dalet in Hebrew and is the 4th letter representing the number 4 and is the picture of an open door.

R – Reysh in Hebrew and is the 20th letter representing the number 200 and is the picture of a crown on a head

K – Kat in Hebrew and is the 11th letter representing the number 20 and is the picture of an open hand or palm of the hand.

P – Pey in Hebrew and is the 17th letter representing the number 80 and is the picture of an open mouth.

Putting this all together the Lord spoke to me and said, “The way is open!” The open door, the open crown, the open hand, the open hand, the open mouth. All speaking of the way, the manner, the course, the journey. The Lord wants you to know, “The way is open!”

We as believers are followers of The Way and the way is open for salvation, deliverance, healing, reconciliation, prosperity, truth, life, hope, the way is open. For Jesus is The Way and He is declaring, “The Way is Open!!!” Www.apostolicresourcecenter.org
