When we see symptoms in our body, it is an indicator that there is something physically wrong with us, and it prompts us to go to the doctor to find out what is happening. When we arrive at the doctor’s office, depending on the measure of the exam or the procedure they want to perform, we are told we must remove the clothes we are wearing and put on the robe they have prepared for us.

Once we are dressed in that specific robe, the exam begins, the procedure happens. There is nothing comfortable about this experience, but it is necessary if you want to deal with that which is happening in your body and continue to live. However, some people are not willing to go to the doctor because of their pride, which is rooted in fear of hearing the truth about their condition, so they would rather live sick, than face the truth and become well.

Most are willing to undress and put on a robe for a man/woman who went to school, obtained a degree and now carries the title doctor, so they can be physically restored, but very few are willing to undress from their self-protection in the presence of the Great Physician, who bled, died, was buried, rose again, then was given the name that is above all names. Jesus wants you to undress from your self-protection in His presence so He can put on you the robe of righteousness, then do an exam or a procedure to restore your soul.

When we are comfortable remaining sick, even when we see the symptoms of powerlessness, lack of authority, inability to hear God’s voice, character flaws or rotten fruit coming from our life and lips, we reveal to God our pride, which is rooted in fear. Our fear of being exposed for who we really are keeps us hidden in our own eyes, but seen in all our weakness before others. The Lord is wanting to do an exam on us corporately as a Church and individually as people. But we must be willing to remove our self-protection and put on the robe of righteousness, then hear the truth that will heal us and follow the instructions our Great Physician gives us. Then we will live and not die and see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. It won’t be easy, but it will be worth it. I hear the doctor’s office calling now.

The atmosphere in the nation and in the heavens is active, accelerated and alive with much movement. This heavenly and earthly convergence can cause some to be anxious, others to angry and still some to be in anticipation/expectation. Whenever there is movement in heaven and on earth at the same time, everyone can sense it. The challenge for us as believers is to not be thrown to and fro by feelings of our own or of others. Be still is the call for us right now.

Be still is an invitation into contentment, a call to trust God in the depth of your soul, to be aware, to observe, but not to run ahead of God, or lag behind Him. When He says move, move; when He says, speak, speak; when He says sit, sit; when He says go, go. But in the midst of it all, the call is to live in the now, live in this moment, absorb all that is happening in this moment. It is alive with His presence, He is very near and easy to hear, if you just lean in and live in the moment.

The wounded soul will tell you to stop or hurry up, but it would encourage you to trust, wait, watch, wonder, stand in awe, right in this moment. But this is your secret weapon, for right now strongholds are coming down at an accelerated pace and simultaneously God is building up His blueprint for the new wine skin. We are in the midst of what Jeremiah was told was the uproot, tear down and destroy, as well as the build and plant. Both are happening right now henceforth, all the movement on earth and in heaven. If you can live in the moment, know His name is near, you will hear the sound of strongholds coming down and you will see the new blueprint of what God is unveling. These are truly incredible days to be alive. #Psalm75

The devil is a dust licking enemy. Since Genesis 3 until now, he is a cursed created being. We must stop making him larger than life; hard to defeat; and somehow more powerful that we are. Christ in us is the hope of glory and He lives inside of us, the devil is under our feet. Whether in pictures we see or imaginations we conjur up in our heads, he’s been portrayed as bigger, stronger, and more powerful than he is. The only thing the devil does is make us think he someone he’s not. He’s nothing, he’s defeated, he’s powerless, that’s who he is.

He’s always been and always will be a dust licker. Put him back on his belly, in the dirt, licking dust and you will no longer be intimidated by him nor fear him. The enemy’s been defeated. He’s a scorpion with no stinger; a snake with no venomous poison; a dragon with no fire. Jesus defeated him and rendered him powerless and Jesus has the keys to prove His victory. If they knew in the Old Testament the enemy is a dust licker, we sure better understand this as New Testament believers. He’s under your feet!

Genesis 3:14 “The LORD God said to the serpent, Because you have done this, Cursed are you more than all cattle, And more than every beast of the field; On your belly you will go, And dust you will eat All the days of your life”

Psalm 72:9 “And his enemies lick the dust.”

1 John 3:8 “The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.”

Revelation 12:11 “And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death.”

The paths the Lord leads us on and the processes the Lord brings us through are not efficient but they are effective. The reason for this is because the Lord prioritizes intimacy over effeciency. Our internal clocks/metronomes move at more beats per minute than the Lords clock/metronome for our life, henceforth why we get disappointed. We need to recalibrate our internal rhythm from efficiency to intimacy if we want to walk with God effectively. We do this by learning to lean on His nature not on circumstances, for His nature is faithfulness; abundance; mercy; generosity; good. As you walk with Jesus and other people value intimacy over efficiency for truly without love you can do nothing of lasting importance. It is out of intimacy that we can do things effortlessly.

Zephaniah 3:17

“Do not let your hands fall limp. The LORD your God is in your midst, A victorious warrior. He will exult over you with joy, He will be quiet in His love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.”

We have heard over and over again that we are to make room for what God is about to pour out upon us. We cry out for more, we want more, but more of what? If you are making room for more, knowing what you want more of determines what you will make. If you want more children, you make more bedrooms in the house. If you want more friends you make more room in your schedule to spend time with people. If you want more of God, you must make Him a prophet’s chamber in your heart so when His voice comes by, it has a place to stay.

2 Kings 4 speaks of this very thing, “Now there came a day when Elisha passed over to Shunem, where there was a prominent woman, and she persuaded him to eat food. And so it was, as often as he passed by, he turned in there to eat food. She said to her husband, “Behold now, I perceive that this is a holy man of God passing by us continually. Please, let us make a little walled upper chamber and let us set a bed for him there, and a table and a chair and a lampstand; and it shall be, when he comes to us, that he can turn in there.”

Prophet means one who speaks the words of God. She knew God’s word was passing by and she literally made room for it to come and stay. The voice of God is always passing by us, but the question is, have you made room for it to come and stay inside of you? If you want more of God, create a prophets chamber in your heart so when you hear His word at church, over coffee with a friend, on a t-shirt, in a song or while reading your Bible, you have a room ready for that word to come and stay.

Time to testify…

On Thursday morning in my prayer time the Lord gave me a specific prayer assignment to a specific location to make a specific decree. I went and did what the Lord told me to do. As I’m driving back home, I get a phone call from my mom in Minnesota and she says I just got the coming soon listing for my lake place I am selling. She sent me the link so I could see the pictures, this was Thursday morning.

On Friday afternoon just over 24 hours later she calls again and says “My realtor calls and says we have a cash buyer that will take the house as is. No appraisal, no inspection!” She is shocked, I said that’s God because I was praying yesterday on a mountain, for something similar for someone else and this is God. She shouts thank you, I believe it.

Friday night she receives a call from her realtor saying they want to pay full price, with cash, will you accept the offer. Saturday morning she says yes, the buyer and realtor talk, the buyer agrees to $10,000 Ernest money and the paperwork is in process. Saturday afternoon the buyers sign, Saturday night my mom signs and she sold an over $400,000 lake home in less than 72 hours. They close on the 30th of this month.

The Lord told me earlier this week NO LAG TIME! Here’s the first testimony of this promise God made this week, NO LAG TIME FRIENDS, NO MORE DELAY! Praise the Lord with me and my mom, she just got set free in ways most will never know.

Religious people cannot handle the gospel of the kingdom because the gospel of the kingdom gives people freedom from religion. If you want to be liked by everyone, you will not be able to preach the gospel of the kingdom, for religion doesn’t like freedom, it enjoys control. The gospel of the kingdom liberates people to follow Jesus Christ; not a man, a ministry, or a church. The kingdom age is drawing people by the thousands into freedom like they always wanted but never thought they could have. It is for freedom that Christ has set you free! Live free!

Psalm 71:14-16 “But as for me, I will hope continually,
And will praise You yet more and more.
My mouth shall tell of Your righteousness
And of Your salvation all day long;
For I do not know the sum of them.
I will come with the mighty deeds of the Lord GOD;
I will make mention of Your righteousness, Yours alone.”

Have you ever realized we quote scriptures differently than they are actually said? Have you ever realized that we have gotten so comfortable with certain verses we think we know what they mean? And then you’re reading your Bible in context and you’re like that’s not what it says at all. I was reading John 10 this morning and I came across a verse that most Christians know, “The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy…”

Most people when they quote that verse think the thief is the devil, but if you read it in context the thief is not the devil it’s a false teacher. Jesus even says that ALL that came before him were thieves and robbers. Who is the ALL He was talking about? In the context of the Scriptures of John 10 where He is making a distinct contrast between himself and false teachers, the ALL would be the false teachers or in context the scribes and Pharisees that didn’t believe that Jesus Christ was the Messiah.

Why is this important to us? Because if we’re looking for the devil to be the one who steals kills and destroys we are not going to be discerning the false teachers that are actually stealing killing and destroying the body of Christ. Knowing the truth is critical to our freedom. It is important that we open wide our eyes to what we are being taught in our schools systems, in our churches, and on social media. Matthew 7 tells us not everyone who says to me Lord Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven. Be wise my friends read your Bible for yourself, and learn what it says in context for where the spirit of the Lord is there is freedom!

Reading the Gospels opens wide the eyes to realize how drastically different their culture is from ours. They were a culture of shame and honor. If you don’t understand their culture you won’t understand why they did what they did. When you do understand their culture it helps you to see in full color why Jesus said what he said and did what he did. In John chapter 8 Jesus is teaching in the temple in the early morning hours and people were coming to him to hear him. In the midst of his teaching in the temple court, a very public place, the religious leaders of the day brought a woman caught in adultery, set her in the center of the court, and told Jesus the crime she had committed. They added their exclamation point by saying, “ now in the law Moses commanded us to stone such women; What then do you say?” (John 8:5). They didn’t care about the woman they wanted to find out what Jesus believed about the law of Moses. They had no problem shaming that woman what they had a problem with is that all the people hung on Jesus’s teachings and this took the people away from them and drew them to Jesus himself.

What would you have said? What would you have done? You’ve got the religious leaders on their turf in the temple, quoting the law of Moses, with all eyes on you and a woman caught in the very act of adultery laying in the center of the court for all to see. When we put our self in the story, with all its cultural nuances and traumatic language, it brings out the beauty, the majesty, the wisdom, and the glory of God to such a measure that it causes us the reader to stand in awe of this man Jesus that we call king of kings and Lord of lords.

Listen to what Jesus said, “He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.” Selah! (John 8:7).

The more we get out of the way, the more the Lord can have His say and release His way. The Lord always brings order where there’s chaos; light where there’s darkness; hope where there’s despair; and grace where there’s performance. He always lifts the burden, lightens the load, cuts through the dirt and brings forth gold. Oh that we would die to the “me”, so all could see the Christ in me!
