In the military there are ranks of authorities. Depending on your rank, determines your level of authority within the military. Someone of a higher rank than you has authority over you, even though you may have authority over someone else. In the American military, the President of the United States is the highest ranking member of the US military, there is no one above that rank.

The kingdom of God established this system of rank and authority, henceforth, why we have such a system on earth. Everything originates with God, anything you see is a copy cat or counterfeit of something God originally created. In the kingdom of God, Jesus is the highest rank with no one over Him. Ephesians 1:20-21 says, “There is no one over Him. He’s above all rule, authority, power, and dominion; over every name invoked, over every title bestowed in this age and the next.” Jesus is the highest rank in the heavenlies.

Jesus holds the highest rank with no one over Him, but there are powers, authorities, and dominions beneath Him, who seek to exercise control over people. Many people submit to a lower ranking officers in the spirit, but if you are born again, you only have to obey the orders of Jesus. The lower ranking officers, seek to divide us at all costs, for they have one strategy, divide and conquer, control and create chaos. But Jesus is the Prince of Peace, He is commanding order and unity among people’s. “He is the embodiment of our peace, sent once and for all to take down the great barrier of hatred and hostility that has divided us so that we can be one” (Ephesians 2:14). Peace is strength, peace is power, peace is mercy, peace is Jesus and when we submit to Him, the highest ranking One in the heavenlies, we will find we have peace, even if there is chaos around.
