Gain-Loss-Loss-Gain

When the Word of God is your prayer points, the conversation is led by the Word not by anything else. It never ceases to amaze me the things God wants to talk about, for He has much to say and many things He wants us to pray.

Today for me it was Psalm 63 and when I got to verses 9-11 it spoke about those who were destined for the sword because of their evil deeds. As I was praying these verses the Lord spoke to me and He had me pray for the people who have gained the whole world, but they have lost their soul (Mark 8:36).

I do not know the names of people who have done this, but it did make me realize that when someone loses their soul they lose their ability to see people as living beings, created in the image of God. When the soul is lost, it is as though one can do something to another person without any feeling, thought or concern.

I was praying this morning, as the Lord prompted me, for those who have gained the whole world and lost their soul, because I see many losing the whole world they gained, and I prayed in the loss of the world, even if they are destined for the sword because of what they have done, may they hear their spirit whisper His name. May they, like the thief on the cross next to Jesus, may they call on His name before they breath their last.

This may not make sense right now, but it will one day. Justice and righteousness are the foundation of God’s throne (Psalm 89:17), but He does not delight in the death of anyone (Ezekiel 18:23). It’s a paradox we must understand.

The Multi-Car Passenger Train

The church is like a multi-car passenger train. Depending on what car you are in determines what you see therefore what you say. Many people are saying many different things because of where they are located on the train called the church. We are all connected and being pulled along by the Lord Himself, remember, Jesus is the head of the body the church.

As we look out the window of the car we are in, we see things others have already seen because they are in a car in front of us or we are seeing things people are yet to see for they are in a car behind us. Car location determines what you are seeing.

What we all must do though, is listen to the voice that is coming over the loud speaker in all the cars at the same time. The voice of our conductor is Jesus the Christ, Paul the apostle says in 1 Corinthians 2 “We have the mind of Christ”, so we should all be hearing the same thing even though we may be seeing different things.

In order to remain united while the enemy is seeking to divide us, is to realize some people are seeing things you have yet to see and other people are seeing things you have already seen. This passenger train called the church is very long. But this is a description of God as well, for He was, He is and He will forever be (Hebrews 13). Humility is being able to hear someone who sees something you don’t see yet, for they are in a different car than you.

Our First Nation to watch for what God is doing is Israel. They are the blueprint nation for the nations. Isaiah 43:7 says it this way, “From the time I established the ancient nation. And let them declare to them the things that are coming and the events that are going to take place.” The Bible is crystal clear, Judah (the Jews) go first. Watch Israel, what is happening to them? They are in a car ahead of us, so see things we have yet to see. Since 1867 they have been in a process of restoration, so they are seeing restoration. WE are headed to restoration not destruction, if you can’t see it, look to Israel.

Next, knowing where we are as the church is critical, we are in Joshua 5 right now, we are at Gilgal getting a second circumcision to remove the reproach of Egypt from the last season. We are in the promised land, but most of the church is at Gilgal, that is why this is painful, for circumcision is not fun. This is why the call for repentance, it is a call to be circumcised again so we can move forward. Everyone must go through Gilgal.

I have much more to share, but will do it over time. The church is on track, we have not derailed, God has not lost control of His body, He is still the head, He is still aware of where we all are. But know you are just passing through Gilgal, this is not your final destination. How do I know, I have passed through there, it was very painful, but what comes next is learning a new way to war. Shalom, God is our conductor.

It’s Time To Shine!

Because there is nothing new under the sun, the word of God is relevant in every generation and has something to say in every situation. Knowing what God is saying when takes maturity, for only the mature have the mind of Christ (1 Cor. 2).

In an atmosphere that is highly charged with many opinions about many things happening in the world, it is imperative that we as believers hear and obey the word of God for this hour in which we live. But what is God saying, individually He may be saying something different depending on who you are and what you are dealing with personally. Corporately I believe the apostle Paul knows exactly what we need to hear.

Philippians 2:15 “Do all things without grumbling or disputing; so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world.”

Jesus said the same thing in Matthew 5:16 “Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.”

Church, it is time to “Arise, shine; for your light has come, And the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. For behold, darkness will cover the earth

And deep darkness the peoples; But the LORD will rise upon you And His glory will appear upon you. Nations will come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.” (Isaiah 60:1-3).

This is our finest hour, if we can see it, we can shine in the midst of the darkness, but we must stop grumbling and disputing things we know so little about. Let’s do what we were made for, let’s arise and shine!

Will You Remain Free?

The battle many are feeling is not external it is internal. The internal battle is over whose child you are. It is the same battle that the Jews who came out from under the law and into the liberty of Christ faced. They made it out from under the law, but staying out from under the law, remaining free was the challenge they faced.

There is nothing new under the sun, the same internal battle they faced is the one we are facing right now. We came out from under oppressive rulership with the winning of the American Revolution in 1776, but the question remains some 244 years later, will we remain free or go back under the oppressive rule again?

This is not about race, this is not about political affiliation, this is about bondage or liberty. Those were the Jews two choices, those were Adam and Eve’s two choices, and these are our two choices. Do you want to remain free or are you going to live in bondage to what others you cannot see want for thee?

This is a decision that must be made inside of you and inside of me. I cannot chose this for you and you cannot chose this for me. Paul said, “Have I become your enemy by telling you the truth? They eagerly seek you, not commendably, but they wish to shut you out so that you will seek them.” (Galatians 4:16-17) Paul went on to say in verse 20, “I am perplexed about you.” Paul could not understand why this was such a battle for them. They were free, why would they want to go back into bondage again?

We have the same choice to make that the Jews did in Paul’s day, are we going to be sons and daughters of the free woman or sons and daughters of the bond woman? One was of the flesh, the other was of the promise. Our current battle is an ancient battle, are you going to go with Hagar and her son or Sarah and her son? One woman is in bondage with her children and one is in freedom with hers. (Galatians 4:21-31)

Only you can decide which family line you will be apart of. As for me and my house, we have chosen to remain in freedom with Christ and of the house of freedom with the free woman. I declare with Paul in Galatians 5:1 “It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.” I am singing with William McDowell “I won’t go back!”

Time to Grow Up

1 Corinthians 13:11 “When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things.” – Paul the apostle of Jesus Christ

Speak, think, reason…like a child.

How do children speak, think, reason?

Children believe everything they are told by authorities.

Children echo what they hear.

Children do not know how to spot hypocrisy.

Paul said, when I became a man (mature), I did away with childish things.

What things?

Speaking, thinking, reasoning like a child.

Paul also said, “I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy; for I betrothed you to one husband, so that to Christ I might present you as a pure virgin. But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.” (2 Corinthians 11:2-3)

A husband according to Paul in Ephesians 5 is the head of the church, the head is where our thoughts come from. When we are connected to Christ as our head, we speak, think, reason like the mature, not being deceived by other ”heads” that try to lead us astray.

Age does not determine whether you are childish in your thinking, reasoning or speaking, how you think, how you reason and what you say reveals whether you are a child or mature.

I am concerned by the many things I am hearing from “believers”. There is a level of childishness in thinking that is due to biblical illiteracy and spiritual complancey. The head people are listening to is science not God and it is creating a divide in the church. The head of the Church is Christ not science nor the governments of man. But only the mature can hear that and speak, think, reason like a mature person.

We as the church are long overdue to put away our childish ways. Everything we have encountered in 2020 has revealed things to us, God already saw in us, but we could not see in ourselves. It is high time to cast down our idols of science, religion, money, self and any other idol that we are obeying, for those idols are keeping you childish and God is inviting you to grow up, stand up and lift up your head to where your help comes from, for your help comes from the Lord, not what some talking head is trying to convince you of. Speak, think, reason like a mature person. At least that is what the apostle Paul would say if he was here.

Idols Are Coming Down

The technology of idolatry is going to be attacked not by an EMP but by GOD. God HImself is going to short circuit the technology of idolatry and when He does we will see a massive great awakening of the likes we cannot even imagine. Strongholds are coming down, Jesus is is lifted high is not just a song, it is a decree we are about to see!

2 Corinthians 10:3-6 “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, and we are ready to punish all disobedience, whenever your obedience is complete.”

Residue of a Celebration

With the residue of liberty and justice being celebrated in my backyard as I went to pray this morning, the Lord reminded me why celebrations are so important. When we celebrate a victory that others one for a nation, a family, a church, a city, a company, we are remembering the sacrifices they made for our freedom. As I walked over the residue of last nights celebration I rejoiced again that we live in a land that won a war for our freedom.

Now today as I prepare to go to church this morning, I have a fresh perspective on the celebration we are about to have as the body of Christ. As we gather to celebrate the victory Jesus Christ won on the cross for our freedom from sin, it is not just another song to sing, it is a reminder of the victory that brought us freedom. I am going to sing with all my heart, dance, lift my hands and say thank you Jesus for you won the victory for me and my family; for my city and my community; my country and the nations of the world.

Today is not just another Sunday church service, this is our weekly celebration of victory. Our nation has a yearly celebration of Independece, we as believers get to have a weekly celebration of Jesus’s victory over sin, hell and the grave. I don’t know what you came to do, but I came to praise the Lord! David said, “I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go to the house of the Lord!” (Psalm 122:1) I hope to see you, hear you of sense you in the celebration of our victory that Jesus paid for as we go to the house of the Lord.

You Are the Salt of the Earth

Remember who you are…

You are the salt of the earth (Matthew 5:13), wherever you see death and barrenness, put yourself in there and pray for life and fruitfulness. Elisha was handed a jar of salt and he threw it in the river and declared, “Thus says the LORD, ‘I have purified these waters; there shall not be from there death or unfruitfulness any longer.’” (2 Kings 2:21) Go to a location that the water is bad and stand there, pray, decree, reverse the curse in that place. You are the salt of the earth and the same will be true for your location as it was for Elisha’s when it says, “So the waters have been purified to this day, according to the word of Elisha which he spoke.” (2 Kings 2:22)

As believers we are really good at talking about out what is wrong, it is time we start doing something about it. People are literally crying on television asking for help. The chief of police here in Kansas City was struggling to speak last night as two officers in our city were shot yesterday, one in critical condition. The chief said holding back sobs “We received a citizen call for our assistance and we came to help, that is what we are trained to do, so we do it everyday. We didn’t instigate this, we didn’t come to pick a fight, we came to help because we were asked to.” He then went on with a plea that said, “the violence in this city must stop”.

Talking about it is not going to change it, as those who have authority in the spirit, we must go deal with the power of the air over our cities. We are the salt of the earth, we have been born to be the ones that release words of life not death. Take your authority, go to a place in your city the Lord will show you, go alone, go with a few friends, but go and decree as Elisha did, “Thus says the LORD, ‘I have purified these waters; there shall not be from there death or unfruitfulness any longer.’” Our cities are depending on us church! You are the salt of the earth.

Listen…Watch

What do you see? The first 6 times that Elijah’s servant went to look for what Elijah saw, he could not see it, but on the 7th time, he saw what Elijah saw. What do you see? We must keep going back to look until we see what God is seeing. Elijah saw a heavy shower coming, but there was not a cloud in the sky (1 Kings 18:41). It took the servant of Elijah going back and forth 7 times before he saw the cloud the size of a man’s hand (1 Kings 18:44). What do you see?

Isaiah 21:6 says, “For thus says the Lord to me, go station the lookout, let him report what he sees.” What did he see? He saw troops of riders, horsemen in pairs. And one said, fallen, fallen is Babylon; and all the images of her gods are shattered on the ground.” Can you see the enemy being defeated in our land? Can you hear the sound of God’s victory? Can you see it, can you hear it?

We are living in a time of incredible triumph, a time of great victory, God is doing a work in our day that you would not have believed even if He told you. I can see it. I can hear it. There is going to be dancing in the streets, healing in our land, reformation like we cannot even begin to ask or imagine. I hear the sound of rejoicing, I see the Lord lifted high on the praises of people. Oh it is glorious, tears of joy are going to fall from many peoples eyes, and there is going to be so much life, freedom and peace it will shock you. I see it, I hear it.

Keep going back and looking, keep listening until you hear the God who is life, abundance, love, mercy, grace and truth. His sound is distinguishable, you will know it when you hear it. Don’t settle for another voice, let His voice alone be the voice of victory you hear. Look again, listen again, for I hear it, I see it.

Slight Course Correction

In the atmosphere there is a strong arm spirit that is seeking to get us to submit to the will of man. The will of man is self-seeking not people serving, so if we submit to that spirit in the atmosphere we are going to become angry, unsettled and will treat others the way we are being treated by this spirit of the air.

Ephesians 2:2 says, “…You formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.” This spirit is a familiar spirit because it is a spirit we used to walk under before we chose obedience to the Word of God and Christ our Savior.

The god of this world is seeking to influence us to submit to the will of his men/women on earth and to walk according to their will, their way. Do not submit to that spirit. It will destroy you for the author of that spirit is Satan himself.

While in prayer this morning about this atmosphere that is seeking to get us to submit to it, the Lord spoke to me and said, “Take your authority in prayer over the spirit of the air.” When I did this, by singing praise songs, making decrees of the Word and submitting myself once again to the Spirit of God alone, peace returned. It was a course correction for the Lord showed me I had surrendered my authority to the spirit of the air and He wanted me to come back in alignment by being submitted only to the Spirit of the Living God.

Submission to the spirit in the air will cause you to experience turbulence rather than peace; chaos instead of gentle correction; fear instead of faith; disappointment and discouragement instead of hope and joy; it will feel like you are on a boat on the high seas being tossed to and fro and you are not sure why. It’s because this strong arm spirit has demanded we submit to it and the Lord says, even if others submit to it, you are not to. We submit only to the Holy Spirit and the only God who rules the air, Jesus Christ our Lord.

This is not about rebellion, it is about what spirit you are submitting to. It is a sense on the inside that says, something is off inside of me, I am not being who I know I am in Christ. Little clues that strong arm spirit is seeking to put you under its control. Remember what James 4:7 says, “SUBMIT YOURSELVES TO GOD, resist the devil and he will flee from you. Just a gentle course correction for me from the Lord and thought it would help some of you. I am submitted to God alone again and the peace is back.
