Dream Of A Circular Shofar

I had a dream last week and in the dream, someone had a shofar, but it was circular in shape and they were blowing it but no noise was coming out of it. The person looked at me and said, why is it not releasing any sound? I began to explain to them how to blow the shofar, but they still could not get a sound to come out of it. I then took the shofar from them and looked into the mouthpiece and I saw that there was a piece of bone that was hindering the release of the sound. I explained to the person what the issue was and said, you need to remove the bone in the mouthpiece if you want to release its sound. End of dream.

I woke up with the thought that the circular shofar was a French horn, so I contacted a couple friends about the dream and both said it was related to battle and the French. I have been sitting on this dream for nothing felt like it was clicking as to what the dream was about. Then I was watching a show called Iron Chef and the man did a Medieval themed cooking and he blew a bugle, that was circular and the Lord said, that is the instrument in your dream.

This morning, the Lord reminded me of the dream, the bugle and so I began to study the bugle. “A bugle call is a short tune, originating as a military signal announcing scheduled and certain non-scheduled events on a military installation, battlefield, or ship. Historically, bugles, drums, and other loud musical instruments were used for clear communication in the noise and confusion of a battlefield.” (wikipedia) The history of the bugle goes back to a French word cor bugler which means horn of an animal. Henceforth the shofar and being circular.

I send all this to a friend this morning and she shoots a message back saying, 1 Corinthians 14:8 “For example, if a bugle doesn’t sound a clear call, who will get ready for battle?” Now all the pieces are together. The Lord is wanting us to sound a clear call to the nations for we are in a spiritual war, but the mouthpieces are being hindered and cannot release the sound. The Lord is removing the “bones” that are hindering our breath from blowing the shofar, releasing the clear call to battle and cutting through all the noise and confusion on the battlefield.

My friends, the war is real, it is active and it is noisy, but God is releasing a sound that is cutting through so people can hear the call to pray, to sing, to shout, to declare the enemy has been defeated. I don’t know what “bone” is hindering your sound, but it is time to remove all obstacles and hinderances to the releasing of your sound for we are in a war and the bugle must sound the alarm so the army knows what is being said in the midst of this battlefield.

The shofar is the voice of God that speaks in our battles and when He does it brings peace in the midst of confusion. Can you hear the voice of God calling out right now, with His voice comes peace even as the war is raging. The hinderance has been removed and now the sound will be clearly heard.

Passover 2023

The Church calls this week, “Holy Week” and they call the night Jesus was crucified, “Good Friday”, therefore, every year it has to be on a Friday that we celebrate “Good Friday” and it has to be a Sunday when we celebrate “Resurrection Day”. This is how the Gentiles celebrate “Holy Week”.

The Jewish people follow a Hebrew, not Gregorian calendar and they celebrate Passover on the the 14th of Abib, which this year is today, April 5, 2023. It is never celebrated on the same day of the week, but it is always celebrated on the same day of the Hebrew month. The Jews call this week, starting today, “The Feast of Unleavened Bread”, during this feast week, they celebrate the Passover and they do not eat anything leavened for one week.

On this day, in which the true Passover Lamb was killed per the Lord’s instructions to Moses in Exodus 12, we celebrate the death of Jesus Christ, who was and forever will be the Passover Lamb who took away the sins of the world, once and for all, so there is no longer a need for an animal (lamb) to be sacrificed for our sins. Hebrews 6:1 says, “Having put away once for all the beginning word of the Messiah (the first testament in animal blood, i.e., the Mosaic economy), let us be carried along to that which is complete (the New Testament in Jesus’ blood).”

Today we put the blood of Jesus over the doorposts of our life by taking communion, remembering what Jesus did for us and giving thanks that we have a Passover Lamb that we get to celebrate everyday of the year, whether its the 14th of Abib with the Jews, Good Friday with the church or every Sunday with or church community. Let the Feast of the Lord begin!

The Ache

Things can be hidden for only so long, because some changes manifest in a way that is noticeable and people start to see the changes that were done in private, for now they have become public. For you that know me, you can tell I have been making physical changes to my body. I have lost over 50 pounds since January 1, 2023, and I have had some other major changes happen physically as well, all for the good. I am so thankful for the people in my life here in Tennessee for they are life speakers and they have watered this desert so now it blooms with flowers that produce a fragrance for others to enjoy.

God has a way of using physical changes to reach deep into places we did not know were buried inside of us. When you get married you learn things about yourself you did not know; when you have children you definitely see things in yourself you didn’t know, like how selfish you really are. The same is true with losing weight. People celebrate the loss, they compliment you on how good you look, but what I didn’t know is I was using food to numb an ache. Now that food is not there to be my anesthesia, I have an ache, that is connected to a dream, that I cannot deny and I choose not to numb any longer.

I have come to realize this ache is a God planted dream inside of me that I have no way of making happen in my own strength, so I have to acknowledge the ache. I believe everyone of us has a God given ache inside of us, it is a dream God put in us and it aches because we can’t fulfill it in our own strength. I do not believe God gave this too us to torment us, but He gave it to us to fulfill it in us. He is a Father, He loves us, and He knows who we were created to be.

I want to give you permission to see the ache, hear the ache, stop numbing the ache or acting like it doesn’t exist. I realize some aches can’t be fulfilled without “x” number of money; others can’t be fulfilled until “x” comes into your life; still others the ache can’t be fulfilled apart from God intervention, literally. I know the ache, I finally feel it, see it, and am shedding tears and praying prayers about it. It is not the thorn in your flesh, it is the dream of your heart that is why it aches and I finally am feeling it pulsate inside of me and it is a deep well that I have not felt before, but I feel it now.

My friends, I see now how we use food, drugs, sex, alcohol, religion, pornography, you name it to numb the ache, but it doesn’t go away. People can’t fulfill it, only God can, it is not there to punish us, it is there to remind us, we are called to “Delight yourself in the Lord; and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He will do it.” (Psalm 37:4-5) The enemy wants us to believe God is taunting us, so we pull away from the Lord, but even with an ache, we draw near, for we know the nature, character and heart of our God, He is good, He is faithful, He is a promise keeper, He cannot lie. Draw near, ache and all, He gave it to you, so He is going to fulfill it, in due time! The ache is the dream!

The Path

Have you ever been walking in the woods and you started on a path, but lost it and then had to try and find it again? Do you remember that feeling of slight panic, like oh my goodness, I am not sure where I am going? It is not fun to get lost in the woods, but if you relocate the path, the adventure of being on a path in the woods is quite fun. As long as you stay on the path, you can enjoy the scenery, experience the sounds of creation, and the smells of the trees and flowers.

Life is a lot like walking through the forest, there is a path through every season of our soul personally, communally and nationally, but if we lose sight of the path it can be nerve wracking. If we panic when we lose our path or can’t see our path, we do things out of panic and it takes us even more off course. The nations are going through some challenges right now and many cannot see the path. The media is saying the path is this way, our feelings are saying the path is that way, culture is saying no the path is over here, but there is another voice speaking, showing us the path.

Isaiah 55:9, 11 says, “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts higher than your thoughts. …My word which goes forth from My mouth; it will not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.” The path of the Lord is higher than the path of the earth, it has charted a course for us to follow, but so often like Israel of old, “We are being led astray in our hearts. And we do not have experiential knowledge of God’s paths” (Hebrews 3:10).

The Lord is inviting us to lift up our eyes to the hills for that is where our help comes from (Psalm 121). There are a lot of trees in this forest, there are a lot of voices clamoring for our attention, it can cause us to be double minded, unstable and even nervous, for we do not seem to see the path through this. But remember, “You will hear a voice behind you saying, this is the way. Follow it, whether it turns to the right or to the left” (Isaiah 30:21). My friends, you can hear the voice of God, so there is nothing to fear, all you have to do is follow Him and His voice! He will lead you out of what He lead you into. The best is yet to come!

The Sanctuary of God

One of the greatest challenges of humanity is when we see injustice. When one person gets treated a certain way based on status, title, or bank account it causes frustration in those that don’t carry the same privileges. It may not be a spoken injustice or frustration with the injustice seen or heard, but it is legit inside of people and it stirs in them as more and more injustices are seen or heard. It’s at crockpot level but the frustrations are still cooking inside of people. This is not new to humanity and one of the Psalmist actually penned a similar challenge that he was facing.

Psalm 73 “This is what the wicked are like—
always free of care, they go on amassing wealth.
Surely in vain I have kept my heart pure
and have washed my hands in innocence.
All day long I have been afflicted,
and every morning brings new punishments.
If I had spoken out like that,
I would have betrayed your children.
When I tried to understand all this,
it troubled me deeply
till I entered the sanctuary of God;
then I understood their final destiny.”

As believers enter the sanctuary of God today May we remember that Yahweh is the judge of everyone. Nothing escapes His notice. Those that think they’re getting away with something are not getting away with it. Just because justice delays does not mean it’s denied but this can only be seen when you enter the sanctuary of God. Our job is not to wish condemnation upon anyone but to remember that if we too had not met Jesus the Christ who paid the penalty for all of our sins we would have a final destination just like the wicked do.

As you enter the sanctuary of God today, May you remember how much you’ve been forgiven so when those that were once wicked turn and become righteous we do not treat them as though they don’t belong in the house of God. He who has been forgiven much loves much! Our job is to love God and love people, but that only happens inside of us when we enter the sanctuary of God.

Watch April

Watch April! This is what the Lord said in August 2022, now we have entered April and we have entered it with some activity. Just after midnight here in the Tennessee area the tornadic activity was palatable for those who heard the sirens going off, felt the wind blowing, and were talking to one another on social media. However, in the words of the newscaster that @marcellamitchell was watching at 1am, it looked like a tornado was going to touchdown in the Spring Hill, Columbia, TN area, then the lady said, “Well, it’s dissipating!” Marcella said, she said this right when it was going over Columbia, TN. It took up again but never landed in our area.

I woke up this morning to messages from friends who were awake, asking if I heard the sirens, was I awake, all the questions as we take care of each other here, but me, I slept through the whole thing. I got up to walk the dogs this morning and there was no sign of any storm, not even rain on the ground, so I was like what storm, what sirens? But the fact that it happened within an hour of April 1st beginning, I knew it was a Watch April moment to remember.

The other thing about to today is that the alphabet community was planning a “Trans Day of Vengeance” rally in DC for today, but this rally has been canceled due to the school shooting in Nashville that happened at Covenant School. Watch April! What is being planned is being cancelled, this is not coincidental, this is important for us to Watch April.

We have entered the month in which Palm Sunday is the 2nd; Passover is on the 5th; Good Friday is on the 7th; Resurrection Day/Easter is on the 9th; just to name a few holidays in which the nations will be celebrating, remembering and enjoying Jesus the Christ, Yeshua the Messiah, Yahweh the Almighty. Watch April my friends, I have a sense we are going to see a lot of God activity starting this month.

Grace Expires

Did you know God gives grace to the wicked, but that grace has an expiration date? In Daniel 4, King Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon has a dream of a tree and he shares the dream with Daniel who interprets the dream for him Daniel ends his interpretation with these words, “Therefore, o king, may my advice be pleasing to you: break away now from your sins by doing righteousness and from your iniquities by showing mercy to the poor, in case there may be a prolonging of your prosperity” (Daniel 4:27). This statement began the grace period for king Nebuchadnezzar. He now had some time to repent, or the “tree” which was him would be cut down to a stump.

How do I know it was a timed grace period? Because Daniel 4:29 says, “Twelve months later…” God gave king Nebuchadnezzar one year to repent, but he didn’t so verse 31 says, “A voice came from heaven, saying, King Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is declared: soveriegnty has been removed from you.” God gave a wicked king time to repent, but he refused to do so. The same happened in Exodus 6-12 as God gave Pharaoh grace through 9 plagues to repent, but when he refused, the 10th plague was administered and then by Exodus 12:12 God was dealing with all the gods of Egypt saying, “I will go through the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments — I Am the Lord.” Grace expired on Pharaoh, just like it did on Nebuchadnezzar.

I believe we are living in a time where grace has expired on wicked rulers. We are going to see the judgment of God on wickedness and wicked leaders, but it is not because they were not given time to repent, it is because grace has expired for them. God is slow to anger and abounding in love, even when it comes to the wicked rulers, but when God says enough is enough, he executes judgment so His people can be set free from their tyrannical rule. I believe we are at this point, grace was given, repentance did not happen, so judgment is here for judgment eradicates wickedness and establishes righteousness. It is not a time to rejoice in their judgment, but we must be aware of what is happening. Eyes wide open. #watchapril

God’s Narrative

God has a narrative that He is speaking and He is not changing His narrative. The media has a narrative they are speaking and they are not changing their narrative. One is a narrative of life and life abundantly and the other is a narrative of death, doom, destruction. The narratives could not be more opposite right now. The narrative you speak is the narrative you believe, because it is the narrative you are consuming. Many believers have made it their mission to promote the narrative of the media, they share what the media is sharing, not realizing a believers words have authority, so when we repeat the negative narrative we actually empower it in the atmosphere. We are not to be unaware of the narrative, but we are not to echo it, establish it.

The narrative of God, being spoken by many people who are hearing God’s narrative is RECOMPENSE, RESTITUTION, RECOVER ALL! It is the narrative God has been speaking for a couple years now and many have spoken it. The narrative of God is not a doom and gloom scenario, a rapture, end times message, rather it is one of “Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” God is bringing His kingdom to earth, we are not getting raptured to heaven. The days of suffering, sorrow and sadness are being recompensed by our God.

I was praying Psalm 90 today and the narrative of God was so obvious, He is saying it everywhere all the time, so I echo His narrative. After multiple verses speaking about what the people of God suffered, the Psalmist prays, “O satisfy us in the morning with Your lovingkindness, That we may sing for joy and be glad all our days. Make us glad according to the days You have afflicted us, And the years we have seen evil. Let Your work appear to Your servants And Your majesty to their children. Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us; And confirm for us the work of our hands; Yes, confirm the work of our hands.” This is the narrative of God, may we be a people who echo what He is saying, so it can be established in the atmosphere.

Who Said?

When I was a child growing up in Minneapolis, we used to play outside from sun up to sundown. We only came in the house to eat, use the bathroom, or check in with mom to see what she needed from us when she called. We lived to be outside with our friends, playing in the neighborhood. One of the games we played was called King of the Hill. Maybe you have played it with your friends. The goal of the game was to knock the “king” off the hill, so you could stand on the hill and declare yourself “king of the hill”. It was a moment of elation as you stood with hands raised and everyone knew you were the “king” for that moment. I say moment, because it wouldn’t be long before you were knocked off and someone else was declaring themselves to be the new “king of the hill”.

I was listening to a city council meeting online yesterday for the city in which I Iive as various citizens got up and explained why they wanted the council to vote yes or no to have a Gay Pride Parade in our city. One lady got up and said, “I am a gay conservative Republican, I have more in common with you than you know, and it is okay to be gay and Christian, so the council should vote yes on the parade.” Without missing a beat, I spoke back to the television and declared, “Who said?” Who said, it is okay to be gay and Christian? Who said? Is this what God said? Is this what the Bible said? Is this what your Pastor said? Who said? I was not mad at her, I was wanting to know, who said it’s okay to be gay and Christian?

The Lord led me to Judges 19-21, Judges 19:1 says, “Now it came about in those days, when there was no king in Israel”; now listen to the the last verse in Judges 21:25 “In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes.” Book ends! When we live kingless, we act like we are “king of the hill”. However, we are not the King of anything, there is only one King and His name is Jesus Christ. If we choose to live without a King, we will set our own rules, standards and make our own decrees, but those who live with a King in their life are asking kingless people, “who said?” We can’t claim to be Christian and live without a King. Kings set the standard for their kingdom, not the citizens of the kingdom.

Shazam 2023

Shazam, that was the word spoken to me about this year. It was going to be a year of suddenlies, Shazam! Little did I know how true this word was going to be right out of the gate. But in true God fashion, it was not just a word for me personally, it was a word for the nations. Friends 2023 is a year of Shazam, it is a year of suddenlies. What does that mean and what does that look like and what does that produce? These are questions we need to answer to understand Shazam 2023.

Amos 9:13 says, “Yes indeed, it won’t be long now.” GOD’s Decree. Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once—and everywhere you look, blessings! Blessings like wine pouring off the mountains and hills.” This is a Shazam scripture that tells us what Shazam means. Blessings after blessings after blessings are going to come from every direction and all at once, changes will happen so fast, we won’t know how to keep up. Now this sounds amazing and it is, but our minds take a minute to catch up with what we are about to experience. Since we have lived in a place of waiting for so long, when it all starts to manifest, our mind struggles to stay in alignment with the new season, the new day. It’s not a lack of experiences, it’s a mindset that must catch up. Our minds must realize we are no longer in a season of waiting, but we have literally walked into manifestation. This new reality will be experienced before our minds fully comprehend it.

Shazam, a movie whose subtitle is The Fury of the Gods, depicted on the silver screen what is happening in the world today. Babylon is falling, the enemy has been defeated and life is about to get better and better and better. The movie is prophetic for those who have eyes to see. Shazam! Suddenly, good news everywhere, life and life abundantly. I know we are not used to this so most can’t believe it, but we are seeing it and will continue to see it at a rapid pace. It is Shazam time.

One final scripture for you to hear, so you can see what is happening. Proverbs 28:28 says, “When corruption takes over, good people go underground, but when the crooks are thrown out, it’s safe to come out.” People are about to come out of hiding, come out of the wilderness, come out of Egypt, come out of Babylon. They are coming out because God is casting out corruption, so righteousness can exalt the nations again. Watch April, it’s going to be the start of a whole new year in the nations, and we are about to see April showers of blessings like we have never seen before. Shazam!!!
